Na wa o! You are trying to lighten mood, the mood is lightened, and you got angry?

ogunwale01: To whom it may concern; I'll recommend u go 2 ita oshin apa otun 4 proper care cos u lack self control.
Lol @ To whom it may concern! What the hell is "ita oshin apa otun"?

Jobs/VacanciesRe: The Fraud Called PTDF Postgraduate Scholarship!!! by SolutionsGuy: 9:18pm On Sep 02, 2013
PTDF Postgraduate Scholarship is not fraud. Something must have happened that you do not know. Write to PTDF, call them, visit them, or use other means to get them to talk about it.

X3n: Guy, wen critisizing, u shld be constructive, don't throw away the baby with the bad water, in every nonsense, there is a sense. In asmuch I dnt support d idea of chuks soundin too sure lyk he is d minister of power himself, I will be wrong to conclude that he dosent hav any insider info. Even a blind man will knw dat deadlines has bin shifted continuously as far as this tcn recruitment is concerned, so an insider may tel u one thing and d nxt minute one o d oga @ d top go change it. All u hav done most of d time is to critisize destructively and I advice u move away 4rm such trend.
To my fellow Engineers
This recruitment may happen dis week d nxt, or even nxt month or nxt year. so its beta u jst turn ur attention 2 oda stuffs, apply 2 oda firms 4get TCN, if it is urs. D text or mail will appear at its due time.
Whatever!
It is understandable that in this part of the world people prefer and enjoy being deceived. And that is why "pastor-ship" is a lucrative business here.

On August 10, 2013 . . .
chukdc: The result of the interview will be out by next week Tuesday, only successful ones will receive congratulatory text message. So be vigilante and watch out!!!!!!!!!!!
I understood there have been like two more sets of SMS since then, requesting some data from candidates.

chukdc: We should take things easy . . . The job will be resumed on 2nd of September.Anytime from now everybody "successful ones" will be receiving text message and e mail from various consultants. The main appointment letter will be collected from zonal office of TCN.Everybody employed will be working withing his/her geopolitical zone. The job was not distributed equally across the 36 states and FCT or zones some states/zones have higher employement than others. Some zones have gotten their list approved while some have not, that is the delay we are experiencing now.But good or bad everything ends this month for eanest resumption of work next month.I am sending my warm congratulations to all sucessful candidates.Best wishes
If I'm not mistaking, today is 2nd September (well, he might have meant 2014 shaa).
As usual, time continues to distinguish facts from fairy tales. I don't know what the hell people gain from claiming that they have insider information. Regrettably, many people are still in that 'one-chance' bus.

By the way, the advert made it clear that you should be ready to work in any part of the country. So, don't get excited about working in your geopolitical zones. It's yet another makeup from the bus driver.
For those warming up to go to zonal office, your letter 'may' be posted to you (whenever that will be).

Seyi Godspower: When a bird stands on a single powerline without its body touching any other thing except that same single line, the bird is then said to be standing on an EQUIPOTENTIAL surface and will never get electrocuted. Remember, the powerline has a given voltage called potential. But if its body can mistakenly touch another line or any other thing, the bird is no longer resting on an equipotential surface and will immediately receive electric shock. Same thing applicable to man or any other thing standing on an equipotential surface.
I think this is not correct.
Nairaland GeneralRe: The Day Nairaland's Topics Equalled Its Members by SolutionsGuy: 10:42am On Sep 01, 2013
kool J: That day is drawing close and I begin to wonder...what happened? There was a time when almost-if not all topics on nl were informative and original. Today,we have lots of repeated topics-hey must everyone create a thread? (Just like I'm doin). Without mentioning names, there are usernames on here who create multiple threads which have like contents on the daily. Some others create same thread on every board. We have been clamoring for sanity on the front page, why don't we censor and sanitize our selves and our thots before we get to creating threads? I mean-nl could do without several of them-and before yu create that thread, endeavour to use the search bar (although I didn for this post and hereby promise to henceforth).
Eyaa . . . it is even getting worse
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Transmission company of Nigeria (TCN). by SolutionsGuy: 9:35pm On Aug 31, 2013
Na waa o! Let us remember that for there to be test and interview simply means that they will NOT take everybody. Talking about those who will not be successful, a song came to my mind that sings ". . . it could be me, it could be you, it could be someone by your side . . ." (reminds me when I was still going to church).

crespo67: Hey guyz.....relax,am sure by next week, this will be all over. Some people had deir details clear enough for the consultants to see,and so,they were not contacted.some other people needed further clarification, and so were contacted.Being contacted isn't the mark for success,i wasn't contacted for my details, with all this noise here,i had to call Moradechi, the south south consultant to ask why I wasn't contacted to provide my details,he checked and confirmed my details were in other,so chill guyz, allz well...e don almost finish. He told me we would mostlikely be contacted by TCN this week or next..So lets all chillax and thank God,am sure by next week,we had be congratulating each other..cheers guyz...
One can easily ascertain that this guy will get the job. His analysis and line of thought/action is clearly intelligent. Not carrying rumours and panicking about the forum like women (lol! women, na joke o).

agbaw: there is something fishy going on in the SE,i was authoritatively told that the results for the NW have been sent to the ministry of power by the consultants KBS, early this month. I wonder what is happening in the SE
What is happening in the SE is that their consultant is Bridgegap. They are the most disorganized, backward, confused and 4k'd up of all the 6 consultants.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Transmission company of Nigeria (TCN). by SolutionsGuy: 12:46pm On Aug 24, 2013
authentic2013: i am not here to deceive anybody i just said that you should make your contact to be sure that your zone picked you. From my state we are only 14 that was picked, from south east.I will be going to TCN office in New have Enugu to collect my appointment letter next week. What do i gain in deceiving people.I didn't ask anybody for money.I don't need your money.I a christian with the fear of God i wont deceive anybody i know what i am saying.Thank you.
Anybody believing this guy or panicking about his posts needs his 'graduate-ship' questioned. Calling approx. 500 engineers to pick up letters/resume work is not gonna be a hide-and-seek game. Even the blind we see it when the successful ones are contacted.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NERC Recruitment: What's the update? by SolutionsGuy: 10:14pm On Aug 22, 2013
kevoh: Thanks for your effort bro. It's that pay very well I am interested in even an approximate figure will do.100k, 125k,150k or 170k?
Just want to know if it worths the stress of putting my best to get it, if the remuneration is not up to my present job's salary then no need.
About the stress, it is worth much more. The only issue I foresee is that they always take just a few people and each time this kind of recruitment comes up, every big man will remember that he was a friend/relative/classmate to the commissioners. The political kingpins also wade in. But to attempt your question, an Analyst will receive more than any of those figures listed by you. There are numerous allowances that will surely blow your mind. I am not in NERC though.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NERC Recruitment: What's the update? by SolutionsGuy: 8:11pm On Aug 22, 2013
kevoh: Bros, do yourself a favour and remove your name from that post. This is a public forum.Anyone, including NERC can see your name and act negatively on it for divulging info.

Back to topic, how much does NERC pay + allowances? Please, don't grumble about getting appointed first for the job.Answer honestly if u know it. Thanks!
I like this guy. Well, I doubt if anyone will give you accurate figures of NERC pay package but know that they pay VERY well. Put in ALL your best to get it if you can.

Only time tells the difference between fairy tales and facts.
Understandably, people always get carried away with what they want to hear.
No wonder it is the "first law of journalism" - Tell the people what they want to hear (whether true or false).

Japkelly: Pls do anyone have an idea about this new power plant located in Aba Abia State. Based on info, they will send some graduates for training in no distance time, the list is behind compiled they also work in collaboration with PHCN. Maybe both training will start same time. Was told theirs is one training sch in Delta state. There is hope for Electrical Engineers in the near future in Nigeria going with these ongoing reforms just keep a level Eye. We will get there. Amen.
Yes, there is high hope for electrical engineers in the very near future. Glad that 13 consortia met the payment deadline yesterday on privatization.
Japkelly, which new power plant are you talking in Aba? There is Alaoji (a mega power plant currently on bid, part of NIPP by NDPHC); and there is Geometric Power (an IPP by Nnaji and co.). Those are Generation stations. I think their training is going to be different from those of the successful candidates of TCN recruitment as the latter would be working largely on transmission (TSP and SO).

jamp: you want us to go over this again. chukdc said is about N235k, got his info from an insider. lets wait till we get the appointment letter
That is fallacy. Don't be fooled. chukdc does not get any insider info. He started from begging for info and when he couldn't get what he wanted, he resorted to reverse psychology. Follow all his posts and see that they never came to pass. They are all make-belief stories in a bid to get the real info from whoever has it. Be guided!

ESUNAM: SOUTH-SOUTH ZONE, 80 candidates were successful in the just concluded TCN interview. Akwa ibom, 13,Rivers 15, Bayelsa 13 etc. officer iv took the highest ratio follow by officer 1 and 11. Cheerup the successful ones. Thank you Jesus my Lord.
Sounds real.

crespo67: @chukdc,we miss ur messages of hope...men are getting tired on dis thread deze dayz...our talking about it keeps our hopes alive....
Lol! Irrespective of whether true or false. Apparently this chukdc has put a lot of guys in his one-chance, and have been riding them around town. Very soon he will come and tell guys that they should send him money so that he inputs their names in successful list (and guys go still pay am kwa).
Talking about it or keeping hopes alive will not change the resumption date anyway. Whatever date that will be for whichever people that will eventually be successful.

Sorry o! If you are one of those that see my plain truth as offensive.

Unless it is not the same interview that I read, I cannot see anything that connects the Minister's interview with any analysis or TCN recruitment. Abi u no wear glass read am? http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/08/nigeria-will-soon-be-liberated-from-darkness/

There are very many pranksters in various online forums. They can readily be identified. It is pitiable that the gullible ones take them as their reliable sources.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Transmission company of Nigeria (TCN). by SolutionsGuy: 2:18pm On Aug 13, 2013
The information in the newspaper did not remotely connect with the recruitment. In fact, it demonstrates that Manitoba is going ahead with its mandates regardless of sabotage and non-cooperation by other stakeholders. For those easily weakened by any stories they see, note that this recruitment has not been delayed in any way and is in fact one of the fastest in civil service.
If you know what's going on around you, you would know that federal civil service recruitment has procedures including federal character requirements that must be ratified. If you must know, the last set of graduates that resumed in NNPC by August 2012 took their test March 2011, and interview July 2011. DPR took over 2 years for one recruitment. Some other recruitment have been postponed indefinitely or outrightly cancelled. NIMC that took test earlier in the year have the first batch starting just last month (fast though).
I think people are just too slow in connecting sequence of events with space and time.
