Icon4s: Oga, let's stop all these tribal accusations.
I don't think you guys know the weight of responsibility on these coaches. Why would they want to chose their tribes men as players at the expense of their jobs? Think about that.
Even though some of us expect a kind of balance in the ethnic composition of our national teams, sometimes they are balanced and at other times they are not.
Yes, a coach might chose a couple of players based on certain sentiments which could be ethnic, religious, political, economic etc. But be rest assured that the majority of players especially the key men in the team will be selected based on merit.
For those accusing Manu of ethnic or religious biase look at his 2013 team. Is it not the team that produced likes of Iheanacho, Nwakali, Mathew, Ndidi, Ezeh, Nwobodo, Obasi, Uzoho, Okon, Just from off my head.
How can we come in 2019 and accuse same man of ethnic or regional biase?
And even for those accusing Amuneke of same in 2015, things like this happen where most of the best players that emerge will just spring up from a certain region which was the case in 2015 and now in 2019.
Do you know there was no Yoruba player in Fani Amun's 1993 Golden Eaglets team?
Do you also know there were not more than one or two Igbos in Yemi Tela's 2007 Golden Eaglets?
But sometimes too, we have a mix of ethnicities like the John Obu's era of U17 and U20s.
Things like these happen. It switches sides and then balances again. But the most important thing is that they are all representing Nigeria and we have to support every of our teams irrespective of the ethnic composition. Wisdom is priceless The mind of a man is known through his comments God bless you jare People only see what they want to see and you can't wake a woman pretending to be asleep. |

Yes, bro, Manu is not really a good defense marshall, struggles with defending. Maybe he should get an assistant that can help him better the defensive side of his game. Or maybe his philosophy believes in attacking as a form of defending. All the same, he's a good coach. Tijani, Said, Amoo, and Jabaar are diamonds in the mud bro! they will surely go places if managed well. In the U17 tourney, anything is possible, so WE CAN WIN the cup. TheSuperNerd: True.
I tip the likes of Samson Tijani, Akinkunmi Amoo, Ibraheem Jabaar, and Ibrahim Sa'id for big things. Among them, Samson Tijani looks like this team's biggest talent alongside Amoo (Chriskel's Shaqiri )
Manu's team are not known for producing great defenders but remember he gave us Wilfred Ndidi too who Manu used as a CB but have evolved into a World class DM. But in this team, I think with the right management, Usman Ibrahim and Ferdinand Ikenna can grow into really decent CBs.
And as for the cup... My brother. We may win it ooo... Or we may not. Honestly, I don't think we will based on my thoughts now but never say never for Nigeria at this level. They can keep surprising and getting better. The talent and will power is there strongly. |

So as to prove to us if he deserves the inclusion. Every one of them should play. No attachee is allowed! Taliban: Meanwhile now that we have qualified, I hope Manu gives the other players a chance to show what they have. Especially Bichi Jnr. that boy must to play by fire by force |

The boys did it once again.
They will keep proving bigots hiding behind their keyboards wrong.
Whether they end up winning the WorldCup or not, we can actually see real talents in this team.
They have already qualified from the group.
Hopefully, Manu will work on the defense which appears to be the main problem right now. |

Icon4s: As usual Manu's team struggled in the defense.
He started with 3CBs and 2 wing backs reason why Akinkumi Amao was sacrificed to the bench. Manu please that set up didn't work. Switch back to 4-3-3 or 4-4-2. Tijani as usual showed leadership in team as his total Dominance in the midfield was too glaring. Overall the midfield did good.
Our attackers didn't click till the final whistle even with the 4-2. All 4 goals from a midfielder and 2 full backs. Manu has to sort out thar attack. Olusegun, very skillful and athletic but he needs to be calmer when taking the final decisions. Ubani did well and was a threat alll night but he still needs to work on his shots Amoo has to start the next game he brought in creativity and fluidity to that attack. Again I appeal to Manu switch back to a back 4 so Amoo can play next game.
I must also give kudos to Hungary. They are a tactically sound side and played with so much maturity for their age. They only played against a more determined side that has a rich pedigree to protect
So happy to be a Nigerian right now. Another crop of players in the products line. Just wait for them.
And to the numerous plastic fans here. This is the U17 WC and WE ARE NIGERIA!!!!!! Great recap Was very happy with their second half performance. Amoo must start the second half. He changed the narrative. |

As soon as the goals started raining in, all of you became dumb and fingerless.
The so called tribes they degraded and insulted won the game for us.

Tribal bigots not fit to be called Nigerians.
People like you guys in a country like Nigeria are a burden that needs to be offloaded in the desert.
I'm so irritated reading you all. Now I see why the U17 team had less comments pre-today because of the names of the boys that made the team.
Shame to you all. |
