forgiveness: Where did you learn this type of politics or democratic process from? Maybe in sambisa forest.
Rules are subject to change but there are procedures needed to be followed before they are altered. Is that a lie?
Who are the majority?
How do we determine the majority?
Let me help you.
Majority in political parlance means achieving more than 50% of valid votes.
Since 62 valid votes were casted, 32 valid votes were needed to attain the majority status in political parlance of majority system of voting hence 16 can't be accepted as majority in this case.
Do you now understand? Bros Let this slide Points have been made already Everyone sane enough have seen our point of view including the chief himself (Icons4). Let it slide. No one is getting paid for this. Thank you sir. |

Meanwhile, Mali has been knocked out after they lost their second game to Cameroon 0-1.
Any info on Egypt v Ghana? Immama is compiling the names of the players to blame this time around. Hopefully he won't blame their various leagues. Let him win the next 2 games or be barred from handling any of our national teams. He already cost us 2 qualifications, hopefully he won't make this the 3rd one. |

Icon4s: Guys, guys let's calm down please. This thing is very easy
I understand everyone's view point. But let's have it at the back of our minds that we are set out to achieve a goal. And that should always guide our line of thoughts.
Recall the nominations for last year the initial plan was to have only 5 members in the committee. But upon seeing the direction in which the nominations were going, some people come up and requested it be made 7 members of which we voted and majority were in favour of the increase to 7. A few objected, which is normal. Then also from the 7 Nominated 1 fellow pulled out and it was agreed that we return to the list and pick the next fellow in line which was done. And we moved on. Nothing is really cast in stone.
Yes, I know some of us were not aware that Icon4s and Andrewbaba44 were up for nomination even as some have come up to admit it. But again a poll was conducted to re-admit Icon4s into the committee of which majority voted 'for'. This was still another democratic process! This is not the first time such will be held while selecting awards Committee members. Nothing is cast in stone. The whole essence is for us to work effectively as a team.
This is voluntary service. Nobody gets paid. I sincerely love the enthusiasm and excitement following this year's awards. So let's work together to see that we achieve success.
So Sirs forgiveness, darkelf and somehow your points are duly noted and they are also valid but nothing is cast in stone here. We can always put one or two things together to ensure we achieve our objectives.
We shouldn't exert too much energy on this please.
Reminder: Awards Committee members to commence work on 25th November, 2019.

Very bad from the referee. Taison's brazillian teammate, Dentinho was in tears after the referee sent off Taison. Both were shook by this as they left the pitch in tears The Dynamo fans should face serious bans and the Club should play games behind closed doors for a month or more sef and fined a million dollars or more. These are the kind of heavy punishments you mete out against racist nonsense but it seems racism is not taken seriously at all in football. Very bad for football in Ukraine. Which laws do the ref interprete when sending off a racism victim that reacted in non violent way? |

My stand which remains my final statement concerning the objection I raised few days ago is that people should stop doing things anyhow
Nigerians should respect rules, laws and processes
Developed countries and societies only became such because they followed the above intoto
If we in little settings can't practice this, how then do you expect this to work in a larger setting?
A society can only become better when each community practice law and processes the right way and this starts from the smallest unit which is the family.
We are a family here and our conducts here will likely go a long way in affecting our individual lifes outside here, once we can do things rightly anywhere we find ourselves, it becomes part of us and influences our actions anywhere else.
let's be the mini Nigeria we pray hope and wish to see for our future generation
one love to you all
I am not an enemy to anyone here, I just like orderliness.
Drops pen and back to reading from you wonderful people. |

Kbs468: Bros! You simply don't live your moniker in reality though.
Just look at the EPL as at today.
FIFA made a decision to implement the VAR in football related matters but the English stakeholders felt because of unnecessary time wasting, EPL center referees shouldn't go check out the pitch side monitors themselves before making final decisions initially
But because of the overwhelming controversy the VAR judgement has generated, that decision is to be reversed by Thursday as can be seen from the below
https://www.nairaland.com/5521265/var-referees-chief-mike-riley
So, what I am saying like several others is that the right things can be rightly done by changes at times just like CAF has decided to cancel an existing contract because of marketing and media right involving SUPERSPORT/Multi choice broadcast of its contents also in the below
https://www.nairaland.com/5519446/breaking-news-supersport-pulls-out
cc Somehow English FA is a subset of fifa and didn't make the fifa rule their modification is only binding on their own league and we can all see how screwed up the refereeing in the EPL has turned to due to this oversabi act which can't be compared with other top leagues in Europe. |

If the people really wanted him on the committee, he would have been voted in. He would have accumulated the required no of votes that qualifies one as a committee member.

TheSuperNerd: It was changed for me back in High school and my high school never regretted the decision. It simply paid off.
I fell sick during the screening process to select the best and on-form brilliant minds to represent the school in a big academic competition. Rules said selection should be made based on performances in the screening tests.
I took part in the process and was doing very well until Illness struck and I had to withdraw. In time, I recovered and the final selections were about to be announced. I didn't know what was going to happen but they selected the top 2 and dropped the number 3. They said they cannot afford to go without their best brains and judging from the records throught out school and my earlier promising showings in the early weeks of the screenings, I had distinguished myself as a reliable student and had the edge in many areas and subjects which they cannot afford to do without.
In the end, I was picked and our school went on to triumph with me scoring the most vital points on questions many thought we would not know. I recall the people that were dropped for me telling me afterwards... "Mehn... We had no idea what the answers to those questions were. How you knew it, we don't know but we are glad we had you on stage." I guess if rules were strictly followed, my school would have simply lost out. Sometimes... The Rules can be a stumbling block to truly making the right decisions. In the end, Rules are rules... But they are only there as guide in most cases and because humans love lawlessness naturally. But sometimes, rules can prevent us from doing what is actually right and the best.
So in this case... It is the most right thing and the best thing to include Icon4s in the committee. He is the major and master proponent of the NL awards for players.. and it is through him that the outside world got to know that even such awards exist. All names were up for nomination in this one for almost 3 weeks and everyone had equal opportunity so there is no correlation here. |
