Using a solar hybrid inverter will minimize the consumption on NEPA. U will pay less only if you are using prepaid meter. I don't know if your solar inverter will be able to power all your AC, if it can power all tye AC then you will hardly use NEPA.

I have a client that installed 25KVA solar hybrid inverter for his duplex and decided not to connect to national grid(NEPA). But he spent huge amount of money installing the solar then . 72nos of DECAGEL(made in USA) baterry installed which can last for 24hrs on full load.

In my case it’s not about the size or effectiveness of solar heater (I actually own a renewable energy company), I need multiple source of energy. So, electric water heater plus solar water heater. Like for house power I use a hybrid inverter so I get power from solar panels or generator or NEPA.

This is so common. It's about the oldest trick in the trade. Resource over quoting. Also watch out when tradesmen quote for labour. They may quote for example 5 hands and end up using 2 hands.

In some cases, it is rip off. Contractors doing something far less than what was quoted when they sense the client isn't knowledgeable about the job at hand.

For instance, a contractor quoted marineboard for the foundation of a fence to be done at once and was paid for that.

What happened in reality? He bought few marineboard and was using,removing, and reusing.

This is so common among shameless contractors

A builder with reputation for standard jobs should never under quote to get a job.

Standard be adhered to be it big or small job.

Even if the client specifically ask for a cheap or substandard job, you must learn to walk away no matter the hunger, not to talk of a job the client wants standards adhered to.

You're as good as your last job no matter the size of the project.

Did you ever come up with any recovery plan? other than to come on here to blackmail him so that elders will compel him to pay you.

bitumen membranes, concrete floor hardners, sealants and other several concrete water proofing treatments and chemicals, are usually applied on the roof slab it can last for up to 25 years and water will not pass through your roof slab, another thing is to ensure that your roof gutters are not blocked, it is also necessary the roof slab is slightly sloped so water will not be logged in one area so it will always flow out, but here in Nigeria we just build build our concrete slab and leave it bare to rain water, of course with time water will sip through it.

But like i wrote earlier on, there are water vapors (ducts) underneath the slab and some rooms on the 1st floor pool water.

So i guess the first part of your comment not applicable here.

CAVEAT: I am not a builder. You should probably listen to YOUR builder.

We leave carcass unroofed for long spells without issues.
We only do contemporary designs with flat/hidden roofs, which are only a fraction of the entire surface area. Plus frame structure always.
So it is continually exposed from beginning through the different stages and till the end.
We have all professionals on our projects 100% of the time.

Even after you roof, is weather (water/sun) forbidden to touch buildings for its lifetime?

think positive effect.. it gets stronger. it especially helps your casting, if any.
But at the end, try to fix the roof as soon as you can.

A few months of exposure to rain and sun cannot have serious adverse effect on your build. Just try to get the water to flow off and not pool on the floor.

But it pools on the 1st floor decking (in some rooms), then forms vapor-like shapes (water ducts) underneath the decking (the ground floor.)

And what about the blocks with holes? It makes them strong too?

If i wanted it left unroofed for months, I wouldn't be here asking for the negative effects though..

Your response is actually an opposite of what I heard from other builders though but I appreciate.

You're completely correct but if you need to soar high in business you must look out for loopholes or blindspots in the other party and use it to your advantage. Business is war. Just like politics and physical combat.

Like you said, never expose yourself to exploitation. Very important. You cannot be tryna recoup when you're supposed to be doubling profit and re-strategizing.

Loopholes should not be your primary concern in a long term business deal.

A healthy business deal should be mutually beneficial.

When one party tries to box the other party into a corner, tension is created giving room to atrocities (harm and even death).

Not worth it.

There will always be those who are foolish enough to sign deals that do not favour them on the long run. Even if we kill one each day, those who make such unfavourable deals won't notice because more will sign it.

What I will encourage is to go into deals that won't make the other party feel shortchanged while not also exposing yourself to exploitation.
