Michael547: Kindly point out from those verses where humans are called spirits. I clearly showed you where humans are called dust. Please I have read all the verses you put up there and I can't find where humans are called or referred to as spirits. Kindly point it out. Man is made up of spirit from God and dust of the earth... So which ever one can fly......the dust was used most times to remind man that he is not staying on earth forever.. |

OkCornel: Unfortunately, most people don’t realise the Bible is a mish mash of evolved viewpoints over a period of time.
The concept of soul
The evolution of Satan from a tempter and accuser in early Judaism to an embodiment of everything evil in the New Testament.
The evolution of God from a seemingly bloodthirsty warmonger in early Judaism to an embodiment of everything love and patience in the New Testament.
In all these things, only if people knew that TRUTH is absolute, but it is the understanding of men that changes over time. Only if religious adherents can understand this. You really don't know anything...not as much as you think. It is better to just ask questions... |

Michael547: I can't find where Psalms 104:29-31 says that we humans are spirit being. Instead the verse says that we 'have' a spirit and that God created us with his spirit.
Below in the screenshot is Genesis 3:19 and Psalms 103:14. Do those two verses say that we are spirit or dust? Which one? Humans are dust+God spirit.. This is the reason why I said God can't be a man because man is dust... It is the spirit that gives the body life... When God takes it...the body experiences death.... "Send forth your spirit and they are created... Take it and they die.... We are all God's spirit experiencing life in multiple ways... Should I draw you a picture? |

Like I always say...quote me anywhere..
Devil is the ORISHA of darkness... Satan is the ORISHA of the the wind
Lucifer is the ORISHA of love, war, and destruction.,..the so called queen of heaven. For good measure, she is the mother of Jesus in Christianity... |
Christianity Etc › Re: Did U Know How The Bible Describe The Devil ? by sonmvayina(m): 1:18pm On Dec 02, 2024 |
The devil is not a being..
He is the personification of darkness most often represented by a crescent moon.
The yoruba refers to such thing as an ORISHA. They represent different aspects of life and nature. Only God is God...There is no other thing in existence that looks like God.. Whatever happens in life happens because it is the will of God. Whatever the devil does is because God gave him the power to do it and created him to do it..Nothing happens without God saying OK. There is nothing he created that he can't control. To you think otherwise is an insult against him...
God is not a man...so therefore it can't comprehend. It only affirms..
You remember when he asked Solomon "What do you want me to do for you"? And Solomon asked for wisdom... Well not everybody asks for that, some ask for the life of their enemies...and God will grant it. So if you are looking for evil, look no further than the hearth of man. |

God is the universal divine consciousness...Not clearly a man
The Bible present the old stories about the Gods of old (The Annunaki) presented from the Jewish perspective. It is still about the two brothers Enki (Jacob) and Esau(Enlil) and their progenies. Ninghizchida is the serpent of the good tree and most likely the serpent of Genesis.. The stories are very interesting, only to the discerning mind... |

What happened to souls before the Greeks /Romans came up with the idea of Jesus? Genesis chapter 3 says "From dust you were made, To dust you shall return. No hint about another judgement. God has already judged man with that statement. There is no where else he said he will judge his spirit when they return to him. Those that even make any sense? Why would God judge his spirit? The problem is that some people just like being deceived. They will always play the fool. They lack the capacity for independent thought... The only time anything was mentioned again was in the prophesy of Samuel. When he told Saul "when you fall asleep with your ancestors"...meaning death is sleep...no indication of judgement or man going to heaven...
Where did the Greek/Roman get the idea?? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Souls That Died Before Jesus Christ Came - Where Are They Now?6 by sonmvayina(m): 12:05pm On Dec 02, 2024 |
Whether before the fictitious Jesus was supposedly born or after...all human are made of God's breath(spirit) and dust of the earth. When God takes his spirit, the body experiences "death" and is buried for it to return to dust and becomes one with the earth while the spirit becomes one with God. It is pure and does not need to be saved from anything. Just like the preacher said in Ecclesiastics 12:7 and Psalm 104:29-31. When the spirit enters the body(in the woman's womb) it becomes a soul....after 9 months it is expelled from the womb to begin its human experience. God sends his spirit. That's why the woman's womb is the most sacred place on earth and only those who worthy (husband) should be allowed in.... We are the spirit....not the body. The spirit is contained within the man's sperm. That is why it is called living waters. |

DeepsightX: Here are five researched arguments that suggest that the Old Testament God took no smack from anyone and definitely wasn't subtle about it. You would do well to fear this entity:
1. He's got no qualms about killing babies to punish their parents: He lets the people of Samaria know that their "little ones will be dashed to the ground" for their insolence (Hosea 13:16), the same for the children of whoever is "captured in Babylon...Their infants will be dashed to pieces before their eyes" (Isiah 13:15-16). And let's not forget what happened in Egypt to all the firstborns -- including livestock! (Exodus 12:29).
2. He doesn't appreciate anyone even simply making fun of his bald followers: In 2 Kings 2:23-24 a group of youths accost Elisha on his way to Bethel and started making fun of him and his baldness. Elisha cursed them in the name of God and then two bears came out of the woods and shredded all of the youths to pieces.
3. He doesn't like whiners or complainers much, either: In Numbers 11:1, God becomes so angry about the people complaining in the camp that his anger literally becomes a fire that burns them up. And in Numbers 21:5-6 when the people complained to Moses about bringing them out of Egypt to die in the desert with no water and food, God sends "fiery serpents" that slithered among the people and bit them causing many to die from the venom.
4. He is no stranger to genocide: There are many examples of how the God of the Old Testament wiped out entire populations in seconds including many who were presumably innocent, such as when he has his angel kill 185,000 men in an Assyrian camp in just one night (2 Kings 19:35). He also delivers up Sihon and his land and people for the slaughter and no one was spared -- not even children. In fact, he makes a point of saying that the only things spared were cattle -- because they could use cattle (Deuteronomy 2:31-35)
5. He has rather unpleasant reactions to male and female sex organs: For women, he pretty much always suggests rape as a form of punishment. Moses, in Numbers 31:17-18, relays God's commands to the people to kill all the boys and all women who have slept with a man but "save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man." This sort of advice is found all over the Old Testament. For men, he preferred tumors and boils on their genitals (1 Samuel 5:8 -9), and let's not forget David's tally of two hundred foreskins of Philistines in order to marry Saul's daughter (1 Samuel 18:27). I will soon get around to teaching on these stories in the old testament... My hands are full now. |

Captain4Jehovah: Did he really go against Judaism or their(the priests, pharisees, sadducees and scribes) own traditions which were against God's laws? Was he anti to their religion or hypocrisy? Did he not attend their festivals? You should have written they were astonished and afraid of his teachings_his rebukes and the way he taught including his doctrines which he received from God. These two salient points made him seemed anti. Was he not part of the triune God that Gave the laws to begin with or is he a different God? |
Christianity Etc › Re: What Disaster Did God Create? Can Disaster Be Good? by sonmvayina(m): 5:21pm On Nov 24, 2024 |
AntiChristian: Isaiah 45:7 reads "I form the light and create darkness; I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things."
Some disaster are reversible while some are not. For example, losing wealth is reversible but not losing kids!
How do we relate the verse above with Genesis 1:31 "God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.
1. Can disaster be good?
Check Job's story he was righteous in Job 1:1 and ended up being tested.
He lost his health, wealth and children!
This disaster was too much as the dead children couldn't be replaced!
2. How was the disaster good to the dead Job's children?
3. Can we say all the disaster we see are created by God? If no, how do we know which disaster is created by God or not? It is only God the Lord most high that can create...no other God has that privilege. Those disasters include psunami, earthquake, landslides...etc. God is nature and nature is God. In my opinion, those things happen to remind us that this earth is not our home. The story of job is not a real story but allegorical meant to teach us some basic truths and principles one of which is that God is sovereign over all creatures and creation and that satan does nothing without an explicit permission from God..... |
