This is a wrong position. Even while in Babylon, we know of Daniel and several other Jews who actually know God. How many years did they spend in Babylon for them to have forgotten who God was? There are books of the law in existence before Ezra. Ezra might have created Judahism, or preferably, let's say Ezra organized the Jewish religion since the religion had neither name nor organization before Ezra. But, it is evident from Scriptures that the Israelites already had a religion before Ezra. The religion even had a book. Ezra may copy the book for the sake of its preservation. Ezra cannot be said to be the writer of the Torah.

The story about Ezra writing the Torah is a conspiracy theory at best. The BOOK OF THE LAW existed before Ezra. There are so many references to it in the Bible ever before Ezra was born.

Ezra was the one who created Judaism as the national religion of the Israelites.
He wrote the Torah from the priestly sources....
When they came out from the Babylonians exile..

According to Isaiah, they did not even know who the real God was.
That was why God(Marduk )used Nebuchadnezzar to bring every one to Babylon so they can learn about him.
It was God(Marduk) who used Cyrus to send everyone back to their respective lands.

I made a comment that the Jesus character is a myth because it has all the elements of mythology..like virgin birth, which is also shared by Perseus, Hercules, Bacchus etc.
