Lucifyre: Maybe you should educate urself better. Bart is not a mythicist and doesn't subscribe to the view Jesus never existed. The biblical academic scholarly consensus is that there was a historical Jesus, a position Bart himself holds. Mythicists like Carrier are among a minor minority who go against the consensus. So there was a historical Jesus, a pic of a quote taken out of context does nothing to change this, you could check out his 'Misquoting Jesus' amongst other books or his blog or podcast. Infact you'd be hard pressed to find a reputable scholar that supports your claim save for mythicists, so refer bk to first sentence. Why don't you read the book by Kenneth Humphreys "Jesus never existed" to update your knowledge. He never existed bro... He being born with no input from a human father should be a red flag for any body with half a brain. No to talk of the two contradictory genealogy in Mathew and Luke...so may holes in the story. |

Jokerman: Eternal life means to have everlasting life.i.e to live forever.
When God moulded man from the soil, he breathed into the flesh, and the body (flesh) became a living soul i.e to live forever as God lives.
Man was supposed to live forever with the fleshy body on earth, just as God lives in Heaven, however after the fall of Man, this physical body lost that glory, and was cursed to drop on this earth(because it was made from earth), while the breathe of God (Soul of Man) is to return back to God, but the Sin affected both Body and Soul.
Now we see Jesus Christ, who came to the world to ensure that Body and Soul of Man reunites back to God, and this was made possible by the sprinkling of Jesus Christ blood to remove the sins and curses of Sin... So now people who accept the mediating power of Jesus Christ will live forever in body and soul, through his Death and Resurrection, which will also happen to believers of Jesus.
Sadly, many souls will live forever without God, in another place because they refuse to accept Jesus help to qualify them back to God... And these will suffer eternally Man is imperfect by design... It is made from "Dust" It was never built to last long, with all the worms and diseases. Death was inevitable. |

Satan is a mistranslation of a word in the Tanakh. Which often times comes as Hasatan, which means the Satan. Satan here is a title rather than a proper name of any being. Satan means adversary which could be anything or anybody. I can say Peter Obi was Satan to Bola Tinubu in last year election. It simply means that Peter Obi was an adversary to Tinubu in the election. That there is an evil being called Satan is a big insult to the creator of the universe, and again, who the hell creates their own enemy? |

Even scientifically there are indications to believe there is a multiverse unless you meant to say that God is the multiverse which just plays right into hands of men whereby your understanding of God is based on the assumptions of men(highest level).
Which as far as we all know the universe(multiverse) might as well be a pebble floating around in some unseen dimension which will defeat your initial proposition.
As regards Roman construct; how do you go about the Historic validity of Jesus.
Historians had an account of him, not one not two. Before the begining...only God existed isn't it? So whatever was created was created within God. You agree. The sum total of what exist now is God. No that's the issue Do you know the identity of the God that said so.
Can you definitely say that this is the God that made that speech?
He could as well had been the Son(personality of the Son-Jesus that made the speech you so lay emphasis on)
The bible says no man hath seen God at anytime except the son and whosever he wishes to reveal his Father unto.
How are you so sure that the person Moses met in the Wilderness was not the Son?
At least from Genesis we see the "voice of the Lord" walking in the Garden and who so happen to be called the "word of God"
Hence as Jesus put it, you might as well not know the God you are calling.
Hence your assessment could as well be a play on chance You missed the first line or you just deliberately decided to ignore it.. Jesus is a Roman construct...not a real historical figure... God is the universal divine consciousness...Not a Jewish man up in the sky... God is the universe itself... |

Kukutenla: Unfortunately you showed your lack of depth of theology and realism. Death is not reserved for only humans sir. It is common sense. Death is available for all living things and only humans were exempted at first because they were made in the image and likeness of God (Gen 1:27). Thus, if the likeness of God is immortality which was bestowed on human at creation, it means that anyone with the likeness of God and not man should also enjoy immortality. That is the mystery of Jesus. Since he was not born of man, he could not have inherited the curse of sin and death as laid out in Gen 3:19. However, because Jesus was in human form means that he can of course die since it is an innate characteristic of humans. Thus he did die when killed. But could not stay dead cause he had in him the likeness of God which man lost in the garden of Eden. God indeed detests human sacrifices. But did he not ask Abraham to sacifice his son as a figurative expression of his redeeming power? 2Chronicles 7:14 starts with "If my people who are called by My name". It is obvious from that chapter that Israel alone was being referred to here and not the whole earth. Same Israel refused to turn from their wicked ways. Instead after the death of Solomon, they grew in it!!
You believe in reincarnation? But you do not believe that God can incarnate as human! God could not have been referring to the earth because the earth has neither image nor likeness of God. And Genesis said "our image and likeness". Also the earth is not a living being. At least we are all sure of that neither does it have the image and likeness of man
The sacrifice of Jesus was a sacrifice without blemish just as the goat or sheep was expected to be without blemish. The soul that sins shall die. Why should Jesus die if he had not sinned? Have you carried out any animal sacrifice to God since you were born? Again, II Cor 7:14 which you quoted stands in direct contrast to your claim.
Numbers 14:18 Deuteronomy 5:9 God in His anger does visit the offences of the fathers on their children. in 2 Samuel 21, God visited the sin of Saul first on Israelites by making them face famine for 3 years and later on his children by having seven of them hanged to avenge for the Gibeonites. If God could save Israelites from death by raising up a serpent in the wilderness for them to look up to, how much more will he save those who believe in the death of his son? What is man? What or who is God? What is death? Your answers to this question will help me gauge your your level of awareness. Please oblige me, thank you |

Why do you attack the person of Jesus?
Don't you know no one comes to the Father except through the Son.
So whether you pray in the son's name as the bible put its; He blesses all, both the believers and non believers hence you have this illusion that your lack of inclusion of Jesus in your prayers came about more blessing.
Which is misleading.

[quote author=AntiChristian post=132394618] 1. Jesus died for the sins of mankind. What does the word death here mean and who is the Jesus being referred to in this statement? The latter predicates the other. For if it is the human Jesus which literally died, then this was not the Son dying. If it is that the Son died, then the Son was not a God. Well one of God's punishment for man eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil was death. Death here refers to the spirit returning to God who gave it and the body returning to dust. So if Jesus dies, it means he was human like every one of us. If he was God, then he can't die as death is only reserve for humans. The idea of a human sacrifice for sin belongs to the realm of Lucifer. Several times in the Tanakh God reinterated the fact that he hates human sacrifice and often punished the Jews for passing their sons through the fire of moloch. He also made it clear that children should not be put to death for the sin of the father and vice versa. For the problem of sin, he already provided a solution and it can be found in 2nd chronicles 7:14. 2. When you say death, what do you mean? Do you mean the death of the flesh or the spirit? If it is the death of the flesh, then the Son did not die, but a creation of God died and thus this was not an ultimate form of sacrifice. If it is the Spirit that died, then is it the spirit of the Son or the Spirit of the Man? If it is the Spirit of the Son, then God died and God cannot die, hence it is a paradox. If it is the Spirit of the man that died, then a creation of God died and thus this was not an ultimate form of sacrifice. Life is a circle, you see that symbol on the cap of Tinubu, it is called OUROBOROS (It is a snake eating it's own tai, meaning life has no beginning or end) if we die it means the spirit returns to God and the body returns to the earth(the "US" in the book of Genesis refers to God and the earth) of that spirit has not completed its mission on earth, it is sent back to earth for another chance. When it returns to earth, it means it has "died" in the spirit. Spiritual death means being born in the flesh. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. 3. If we take John 3:16 as a literal study, then we have numerous paradoxes being applied, for if the Son did ‘die’, but did not truly ‘die’, then the ‘sacrificial death’ was not fulfilled. If you claim the sacrificial death was fulfilled, then this is disproven by Thomas touching a physical body of Christ, whose wounds he felt. Thus if Christ was meant to be an ultimate sacrifice but did not die, but merely suffered wounds and continued to live, then there was no actual sacrifice Jesus if he did exist only sacrificed his weekend. Human sacrifice is a No No for God. Only animals where allowed for sin sacrifice. Female goat/Sheep, less than 1 year old and without blemish. Jesus did not meet any of that. 4. Jesus did not for once tell anyone to believe in his death for the sins of mankind to be saved! Because it makes no sense. Confess and forsake, God will forgive. The idea of believing in the death of a God for the forgiveness of sin makes absolutely zero sense. Who ever commits the sin, is the one that has to make the restitution. I can't go to jail for the sin of another person. If it does not work with humans, it certainly will not work with God.. Every man has to bear the consequences of their sins.... |

Kukutenla: The dumb Op is so lazy he went and copied an article from the internet that he neither understands nor attempt to. So if answers are given to him, how will he understand when he never understood the question. Well, for the sake of posterity and so he does not think he has found something that will give him oxygen, I will suffocate him with facts that he cannot deny.
Jesus who is being referred to here is Jesus Christ the Son of God. If you don't now what death means, consult your dictionary. Your quran tells us that Isa who was the person of Jesus stolen from the Bible by your prophet was formed in his mother's belly by the breath of God(Allah). See quran 66:12. It follows that if Jesus even from the Quran is not from the seed of Adam made of clay, then he is most certainly of a different seed. Therefore, Jesus is no ordinary human. He was not formed from Adam like every other human who was made from clay and thus. It is virtually impossible for him to return to clay which is what happens when humans die. But Jesus had the body of humans. Even your quran establishes it. So if he had the body of a human, it is known that the human body can die. That is the mystery your quran cannot explain. A human formed without the seed of Adam but the breath of God! Thus the human body the breath of God inhabits can surely die as death is one of the characteristics chosen for the human body by God. But the breath of God does not die or does it in your quran? Thus, the human body inhabited by Jesus can indeed die. But it is impossible for the breath of God that formed Jesus to die. The other question is if Jesus was formed by the breath of God, can he really not be said to be a part of God? One cannot blame Muhammad though. He was more in contact with Syriatic Christians who believed less in the divinity of Christ which is why he was confused as to the status of Jesus in relation with God.
The death of the flesh is the only possible death in this earth. Even the Quran recognises the death of the flesh in Quran 3:185. The death of the spirit is in the afterlife and not here on earth. As written in Matthew 10:28, there is death of the body and also death of the soul in Hell. Thus since Jesus died only while on earth, he couldn't have experienced the death of the spirit. It is also a stupid question to ask from an Islamist that does not believe that spirits die. The flesh of Jesus died and was buried before it resurrected back to life. It is also interesting that Islamists who claim that Allah has no limit are here telling us that God cannot die. Does it not place a limit on Islamic God if there is something he cannot do? If God in Islam cannot die, it means Allah is limited by the experience of death and is thus not All-knowing as claimed by the Quran. For to be all knowing, you must know all things including good and bad, right and wrong. Thus, quran 49:1 should be changed to" Allah is all-hearing, all-knowing except in matters of death!"
Where is it written in John 3:16 that the Son did not truly die? Jesus is not the first to die and resurrect in the Bible. Elijah whom is called Ilyas in the Quran raised a dead boy back to life. So with Elisha and Jesus himself who even in the Quran brought the dead back to life in quran 3:49. Thus since it is very possible for Jesus to bring the dead back to life in the Quran, is the Islamist saying the one who was brought back to life did not truly die? If so, then it means the quran is a book of lies. If however it is agreed that the dead can be brought back to life, what is unbelievable in Jesus being raised back to life? Jesus did die and was raised back to life by God himself.
The Islamist tells a lie here. From this passage, it is obvious that Jesus is saying everyone must believe in His lifting up on the cross as the serpent was lifted up in the wilderness in Numbers 21:8-10 to save Israelites from death. It is believing in Jesus death on the cross that can save man from sin. Ig you like hit your head on the floor till your skull cracks. You will only run mad. If you like keep going to Mecca to kiss a stone. You are only wasting your time. If you like pray in Arabic more than the Arabs, you are only learning new language. If you like keep chanting only one God like a zombie. The only way to be saved from sin is to believe in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. Muhammad did not believe. Who knows where he is now? Don't let Muhammad lead you to hell. Much ado about nothing.. You where just pissing everywhere, piss for one place make them see the foam. You did not answer any of the queries he raised and in some parts resorted to cognitive dissonance. If you don't know there is no law against admitting it... Thank you.. |
