Pelupelu:What kind of things? You mean meeting milestones as fast as his sister? I hear girls are faster. Cc: Goldmine, sayoberry, doubledouble |
@hafsat, sorry about that. You are a FTM, don't be too hard on yourself. Na experience you dey gather so. Why don't you do combination feeding but more of formula. I read somewhere that if b.milk supply is not established the first few weeks that it's harder to increase, don't know how true o! There are even people that don't lactate well. A friend of mine is one and all her kids have been bottle fed from d word go. She only gives breast to palcify. Try the fenugreek, some swear by it. All the best |
@mzfunshy, interesting bs. We thank God for you and your baby. @ginababy, you only need the 3 tabs, dats the dose. It's not late. However, you will be given another dose afterwards before you deliver. Cheers |
@ginababy, you are to take the 3 tabs of fansidar all at once. The remaining january mamas, God be with you. Nkkystel, awaiting your bs Una happy harmattan o |
@Firsttymum, very sad news indeed but thanks for sharing. We mothers should be careful and be prayerful as well. I always warn my minders not feed my baby while he's crying or even force feed at all. Calm him down first and then feed. Thank God my children have always had voracious appetite. Pls let's be mindful of this aspiration and even choking of a thing. Tatacherie, mama, you have been MIA. Hope your cute bunnie is doing fine. Happy vigilante |
firsttymum:Really! Ok thanks. I never took that chance. |
@mifavour, are you sure you don't make his formula a bit too concentrated? Keep giving dilute fresh orange juice. When bathing him, you can use his massage towel and drip warm (a bit hot) water on his anus. It stimulates them to pooh. All the best |

@chinwedym, with my first i gave pcv and rotavirus cause they were available but in the others i didn't. My 2nd even has better immunity than the 1st but that's by the way. If the vaccine is available and you have the cash, why not. They will hv to start from pcv1 and rotavirus1 if you decide to give him in your next visit. Greeting to Ekene bobo. @Eudora, my son's leg tremble esply when half awake and when there's a sudden noise. I hv experienced it wit all my kids and see as normal. If you hadn't asked, i wouldn't hv given it a thought. |
Pacypatty:Weren't you applying penicillin ointment? Pls take him to the hospital so that they do proper dressing of the site and commence him on an antibiotics. |
@nkkystel, hbd to cute boy and many happy returns. @beremx, congrats on the birth of your orobo ![]() Other mamas here, i hail. Just passing |
RebelChip:Ewwwo! Nwanne! A mu siri gi ike. Okwu gi e tinyego ogba aghara na camp ndi ofe. ![]() |
Op, we thank God your sister is better. However, please encourage your sister to always go for her appointment and to be adherent to her drugs. She shld also reduce stressors. Having gone through your previous post, i'm afraid her illness started a long time and had nothing to do with her church/born againism. The promiscuous life and even over religiosity are all signs of psychiatric illness. The relapse rate of mental illness is high when patients are non adherent to their drugs. Many stop taking their drugs under the guise that they feel ok, that God has healed them and next they relapse. Most psychiatric illnesses have to be managed a long time if not life long. I'm not saying God doesn't heal, far from it but i just want to give you the facts. God be with your family |
Eminya:Yea! It works. The baby will pass out the offending gas and pooh as well. Immediately after, baby will be relieved |
@proudmum38, she should feign illness and stay in bed for some days so that she can rest. Then she can give you her mum's number to call telling them their daughter is not fine so that they can come and take her with them. I hate oppression. Are you sure that MIL is not a witch? |
@Britneystacy, thank God it's degenerating. Thers still time so let's watch. But any which way, be it cs or vb, so far you have your lo that's what truely matters. @maureensylvia, cramps happen alot in preg. So far it's not painful and increasing in intensity. The protocol i know of for rhesus negative mothers here is that they are given rhogam immediately after delivery. @proudmum38, i find it hard to believe a full grown woman will accept to be treated this way. As in seize phone. Hmmh! God abeg o! It's like she's from a poor background married to a rich family. Is there no business centre around her. Can't she go to her mum's place. As a Ftm, she needs good support. I wonder how people allow their inlaws have this much control over their live. O di egwu o! |
missmalachi:Abeg forget that thing, she will sit when she's ready. My kids start sitting as from 5months. Once in awhile you can sit her and support her with pillows but release her once she's uncomfortable. Finally you don see who no sabi sitdown? |
At 6wks |
toyinakomolafe:Shey visual hallucination is worrying you. Did i doubt the link between onitsha and benin? Did i say the writer is yoruba? Dig up history about your origin or don't you have one? I already know mine. |
OMG! Many pages to read, where do i start from. First of all congrats to the mamas that have offloaded. Welcome to new mamas that just joined the thread. Ginababy, so sorry for your loss. Belleful mamas here, the Lord is your strength. |
Wow! Tatacherie, congrats on the birth of your honey bunnie. Already 5days old! Kisses to her. Sorry about the sore tips, the pain will subside with time. Increase your fluid intake. Take alot of pap and pepper soup and keep putting baby to breast. Make sure she latches properly, argument with Nan for now till you are lactating well. |
There's just something about the igbos other are envious about. Onitsha and ile ife, lwkmd. |
tobiaboG:Ok! I get u. Just start first. Feed her well and don't indulge her all the time for breast. All the best |
advocates:Then you people should let the leeches go that's the most sensible thing to do |
loopman:Then why are your lots angry that the miscreants want to go. Can't you see you are confused? |
@tobiaboG, wean over a space of one month. Start with cutting down on his daytime till you are only breastfeeding at night. Then gradually reduce frequency of night bf till you stop. You will have to feed your lo with cereal well at night say around 10 to 11pm so that he can sleep through. All d best @ummtwins2, got mine for 1800 |
Congrats Tchiwinnie and igb400. May God bless and protect your cuties. Twingirls, so sorry for your loss. May God console you. He will make everything beautiful in His time. |
@cutiereborn, most govt hosps/health centers give at 9months after 14weeks. 6months is usually infant welfare check up. However i've noticed some centers esply private give @ 6months. Whichever way, use a particular center and stick to their regimen. @hafsat, increase your fluid intake and don't try to watch your weight yet. Put baby to breast often cos the more he sucks the more the production. |
helovesme:Yea sounds like colic. My sister,if not for infacol i don't know what i would have done in my own case |
@chinwedym, vigilante is vigilante no short cut o! By 3months, most babies start knowing day and night and tend to start sleeping longer at night. For me i delay baby's night bath to 9pm cos he sleeps longer afterwards and i sleep immediately. Feed him well b4 he sleeps, always burp after feeding even if he's sleeping and change his diaper at night. Note that it's till he's a year plus before you can have uninterrupted sleep again. Lol @ starring at baby. I get u and most mothers are like that but you have to learn to let them carry him atimes if not aches go be your own. It's a wonderful experience ![]() |
