If your placenta is not low lying and your cervix is closed, i don't think the spotting is much of an issue. You should see your doc with the scan result.

The only safe malaria drug in first trimester is quinine. Low dose quinine 300mg can be used though 600mg is the recommended dose. Many doctors don't use 600mg cos quinine can abort at high dose(higher than 600mg ooo). Let your doctor write quinine for u. Malaria in preg isn't good can lead to miscarriage or low birth weight babies. All the best

Sorry about that. Presense of gestational sac but absense of any fetal form is likely a missed abortion. You may do a second/confirmation scan and still see your doctor

Three month ago I took a pregnancy blood test it was positive,on 25 spitted blood so on 26 I went to do scan the result given to me was so scaring.
These was the result,Ultrasound scan shows a gravid uterus with a gestational sac measuring 15mm in diameter.there is no fetal form seen.the urinary bladder is full no stones seen.
Please can someone explain the result for me and what can I take to stop d bleeding and improved my baby condition

How long have you been bleeding? Why don't u see ur doc wit d result. May be a case of missed abortion. Pls see ur doc or get a second opinion scan. Bestwishes

Sis pls check in your next ANC so that you will know if you are safe or if you need to up your game. Sometimes these doctors forget. My last delivery i was the one that drew the attention of my doc @ 36weeks to my pcv and that was when i got the intervention that ended favourably for me.

@ 33% my doctor told me it was too low for a pregnant woman and instantly added folic acid & BH12 blood syrup to my pregnacare drugs while "warning" me that my PVC must get to 38% - 40% before my due date else am looking at blood transfusion during delivery(I reject am)...Have been on my drugs and going for another PVC count tomorrow...Hoping I would have improved.

That your doctor sabi scare person sha? 38% to 40%? How many persons can boast of that? 33% is ok for normal delivery, 30% is the least approved by WHO. Always good to get to 35%, with that no fear of shock in case of much bleeding during n after delivery. I wish you an improved pcv tmrw.

Wot trimester are you? By 35 to 36 weeks 25% is bad and an indication for transfusion. If it's a teaching hosp u r using they won't let u go into labour with 25% incase there's much bleeding during delivery. If you r in 2nd trimester, try n build it up. Tk your iron tablet with vit c n eat veggies n red meat everyday. I suffered anaemia in my first 2 pregs despite all i did to increase it, so am talking from experience. May your case be better. Water after 2hrs? You should drink water often so as not to get dehydrated and also it will help relieve the constipation. Fruits and veggies also help with constipation. It's well.

Am now thinking of giving them out as am scared LO might react to them. Anyone had experience with the Johnson baby range manufactured in S.Africa?

They ain't fake just a diff country of manufacture. I think there about 4 countries that manufacture for Johnson but d US own is the costliest. I hv used the South African own and no untoward effects so you can try it out. Cheers

I'm doing great with my lo, but since Tuesday night av been bleeding thru my nose (after replying your post that night) though it stopped after placing my head backwards.
This morning, I noticed the bleeding again. Donna, is this anoda sign of pregnancy.

Nosebleed is common in pregnancy. I had it in my first pregnancy. Doo! This will pass too

Exactly in same shoes with you except d pelvic pain n leg cramp. Praying d placenta moves up by 3rd trimester. Tylenol is d safest analgesic for now, just take things easy and the Lord will see you through
