Marriage is contracted when the dowry is paid. In a church wedding, before putting the ring, the officaiting priest asks the pride parents if the groom have done for them what he is supposed to do ( paid the pride price, gotten kinsmen consent) if he says no, the wedding stops.
Marriage starts traditionally before church wedding, church wedding is a mere formality and to feel belonged.
You cannot go to church for wedding without satisfying the tradition. Once traditional marriage is done, sex can start legally for me.
Churches insist in wedding to satisfy there doctrine. Churches should help by making advicing there members to make wedding very less costly.

I have heard of this mysterious tree called "nnunu ebe" only in story. It is believed that it found in some part of Igbo land. The story said that birds do not petch on it and the leaves does not fall on ground. If the leaves want to fall, birds will carry it back to the top of the tree. No grass or living things grow under it or within its radius. If any bird touches it, it dies instantly. So also other living things.

No is not a cooked up story. The church is in Enugu. I cannot remember the name very well. I think it is Shelter something something Ministry. I am not too sure of the name. But i realy happened.
