I was actually dissappointed. I think our local players who are hungry for fame and cash will do far better than these foreign based players.
They do not see thier call up as a service to the nation rather they see it as bothering them.
It shall be well.

Politics › Re: Nigerian Ex-Governors On The Run! by Soundmind(m): 5:11pm On May 30, 2007
Why are they running? When they were in power all of them claimed to be angel. It is there conscience that is hunting them even more than the EFCC fear. Most of them turned government treasury to there personal purse. That is why there is visible poverty every where in the country. It serves them right.
Now the big question is will ICPC, EFCC and code of conduct try the Obasanjo and his kitchen cabinet members over looting of public fund?
Politics › Re: What Do You Think Of Yar'dua 's Inaugural Speech? by Soundmind(m): 9:29am On May 30, 2007
I have implicite confidence that Yaradua will be far better than Obasanjo. I have looked at his achievements as a state governor. What i pray is that he will pick good SPA and cabinet members. He has started well by putting Ehindero out of office immediately after swearing in. I pray that his agricultural and other programmes will be fruitful.
May God save us through him in Jesus Name.

It is a shocking gift. Though in the East, the price have been between N75 to N90. Yesterday it was N85 in Enugu.
All this economic reforms have not come with human face. The common man have not benefitted from it at all.
At last, Obasanjo have just increased our hardship. He is leaving Nigeria worse than he met it. May we never get a president like him again
May God help us in Jesus Name.

Family › Re: Why Is It That When You Have A Child With A Man Or Woman In The Nigerian Communi by Soundmind(m): 2:37pm On May 25, 2007
Marriage is contracted when the dowry is paid and not when sexual intercourse occurred. So even it they cohabitate for 30 yrs, she may even born children for the man without pride price paid, they are only lovers {adulterers in christianity} and not married couple. If the man drives him out of the house, she cannot make any claim because she have not interest in the house, she is only a guest not a co owner. She can as well wake up one day and go away even with her children, they man cannot claim to be the father because, he did not marry her. Whatever she make away with in the man's house is her dividend of whoredom.
Family › Re: Can Marriage Survive Without Children by Soundmind(m): 12:25pm On May 25, 2007
In typical African setting, mariage is for procreation not necessarily for love. that is why there is polygamy and early marriage. But since western education and christianity came into Africa, it is gradually been diluted.
Even at that, most marriage do not survive if there is no issue even in strong christian family. Enlightened ones go for adoption while others file for divorce. So generally, about 80% of marriage in Africa is looking at child bearing as the focal point of marriage than any other thing.
Romance › Re: Caught My Husband With His Mistress In Our Room by Soundmind(m): 10:48am On May 25, 2007
I feel for you but you have to make sacrifice for your family to be in peace. I do not know if you have children. If you have, go back at least for there sake. Have the man shown any remorse on what he did? If he have, please forgive him.
I keep on pondering on this line of our Lords prayer " Forgive us our sins as we forgive those that tresspassed against us".
I know what he did is very bad and condemnable by all but to show him love and care, pls forgive him and come back.
I do not know again if you are starving him sexually. My neighbour have to date outside because his wife was starving him sexually. It took time before he stoped it. Pls, give him sex as much as he want it and he will see that you are far better than both the maid and those outside. Then, try to look smart and catchy. If you look smart, you will always be attracted to him and he will forget others.
Wish you best of luck and happy marriage life.

I really pity you. I advice you discuss this with your wife. Do not be shy about this. If you go on and sleep with her, she will claim u have given her belle and must marry her. If you say not the will frame u up. Discuss this with ur wife and approch some NGOs and laywers for help. I think Legal Aids Council can help.
Nairaland General › Re: What Will U Do If U Catch Ur Virgin Partner In Bed With Ur Christian Brother/sis by Soundmind(m): 7:23pm On May 17, 2007
I will sit both of them down and find out what went wrong. I will ask my partner if she is now more at home with my brother than myself. I will also be mad with my brother for climbing to my bird. But i will forgive both of them and continue life with both of them as usual.
Romance › Re: My Fiancee Earns More Than Me And It's Making My Life Miserable by Soundmind(m): 6:25pm On May 17, 2007
It appears you are intersted in her money not in her. You have started quarelling over money now, if you marry, you will quarel on other things as well. Is like you have not understood each other very well.
When did this relationship start? Is it after she has got the job? What a hell are you interested in how much she earn and how she spend it at this stage? I na money you want, you better look for sugar money and widows now. If na her you want, leave her money alone.

Bros, ibi like sey {Uka agwula} church don finish. I think she has politely telling you that you are no more first choice. Another man have made a better offer/promise than u. Do not be surprise to receive her wedding card in weeks to come.
If you offended her, she would have politely told you that then this, i believe, you have quarreled before and settle it.
Nwa nna, shine your eye.
Take heart. Better luck next time. All the best.
Politics › Re: Nigeria's Vice-president Elect Goodluck Attacked by Soundmind(m): 1:57pm On May 16, 2007
May, God have mercy on us. This is coming after a day or two that Mr president led a prayer group that went and cleased/healed the land of Niger Delta. I think this is to drive it home that what they need is food, shelter, hospital, education, good road (good standard of living) etc and not prayer.
Goodluck is lucky again but he should know that one day, his name may fail him. He should start addressing the problem of his kinsmen before the problem dress him. This is not political issue.

I am surprise that no Nigerian daily have shown it in its website even as a breaking news.

Whether the story is exaggerated or not, for the fact that it happened makes it real and believeable.

US report in 2005 said that Nigeria may seize to exist in the next 15 yrs from then, the report was highly debunked and criticised but today, what are we seeing, we are gradually heading towards disintergration. The last election has hastened it much. Each last national assembly member will get more than N6m as serverance package when about 50m nigerians leave in less than $1 a day. About 460 persons sharing more than 2.8b. What will the rest of 144m people share? Put such money in healthcare in Umar will not go to Germany for treatment. Where are we heading to?
Again, May God have mercy on us.

Sports › Fans Of Nigerian Football Clubs? by Soundmind(op): 12:58pm On May 08, 2007
Fans For Local Football Clubs

Why is it that our local clubs do not have fans from Nigeria here as European clubs have in Nigeria? If two local clubs have match, the stadium is always scanty. Even when it is televised, the viewership is poor but if it is European clubs, wait and see the what will happen. Some will leave there house and look for where there is cable, my friend bought gen set only to watch European legues. Where i work, discussion on European legues attracts much comment than discussion on salary even if it is delayed. Some do not know last local league result but will give you clubs position in premiership league from top to bottom.Even school pupil in my place can name almost all chelsea players, name more than six clubs in Europe but do not know the name of a local team in Nigeria Now, why not give our local club half of such support.? If we give them such support, do you think they cannot make it big as Liverpool and Manchester United? Anyway, my local team here is Enyimba FC of Aba

From my own feelers, El Rufai is going to head energy ministry, this is because, power sector have been declared national disaster by the president elect. He saw the political will to do the job well in El Rufai, i also head that they are linking gov duke to tourism and culture ministry. Though, it the give him FCT, i am very confident, he will do very well.

Romance › Re: Should I Marry Her Without Courting Her? by Soundmind(m): 12:19pm On Apr 30, 2007
Bros,
try courtship first, her voice on the phone may not tell you the real her. It does not tell you about her family background, it does not tell you the dark side of her, it does not tell you what make her angry,
If you stay close to her for 3 days, you will observe her more than 2 years of call. Why not ask your relative or friend in Naija her to observe her for a while and tell you what they see. This your phone call may not give you the character you will want to live with, it will only tell you the personality you want to marry.
Don't make the mistake, court her for about 3 months or so, then make up your mind.
