amnotapervert: Memorial University of Newfoundland is one of the cheapest schools you can attend in Canada.
Right now, the Canadian job market is not what it was after 2021, but it still depends heavily on your skills and experience.
https://www.jobbank.gc.ca/trend-analysis https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/t1/tbl1/en/tv.action?pid=1410028703
As for PR, it is not guaranteed.......but nothing in life is guaranteed except death. So you have to plan wisely.
Think carefully about all your options. Check whether you currently qualify for any PR category-based draws.
If you come to Canada to study and later work, and you can get up to 500 CRS points, which may qualify you for a CEC draw after graduation if not you need to rethink about it.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions/express-entry-rounds.html
However, with current trends, scores may remain around that range for a long time, especially if you are not in an in-demand field.
The school itself is solid ranked among the top 30 universities in Canada.....and still one of the most affordable options.
When it comes to jobs, it depends on your skills. The Canadian job market is very competitive, but you can find a job if you have the right skills and are persistent. Just be prepared.........it may take time.
And again, PR is not guaranteed. Age is not on your side you will school and work for 3 years before you start looking at PR options, except you focus on category-based draws or a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) if you are coming to canada
Thanks so much for taking time to address my questions. I'll think critically about this move. |

Hello ma and sir. I would need your opinion on this.
Recently completed my studies in Belgium. Everything is good here I must say, I can't complain.
Only problem is that getting sponsorship jobs after study to stay is difficult. Even if one can speak the language.
I checked Memorial University in New Foundland and saw a program I am qualified for. Tuition is reasonable too.
But my fear is job prospects after graduation and path to PR. And also if there are student jobs too in Canada to support me through my studies.
Have you heard anything about Newfoundland?
I already obtained a Masters in Development Evaluation here in Belgium and another from Nigeria in Public Administration.
I'm in my mid 30s |

munachieze: Hello everyone. I recently got accepted into the University of Antwerp and I must say that I have gained valuable info on this thread while I have been processing my documents these past weeks. Thank you all.
Please I need a little clarity on sponsorship. I want to use my brother in the US as my sponsor. He has been able to gather all required documents for the legalisation of Annex 32 (proof of financial support)...with the exception of proof of family tie.
Here's an excerpt from the website of the Belgian Embassy in the US...
- proof of family ties between the student and the sponsor: original birth certificates with an apostille for American documents or (if needed) legalization from both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your country of birth as well as a legalization from the Belgian representation in your country of birth. Please contact the Belgian representation in your country of birth to inquire about the legalization procedure.
This would mean my brother would have to send his birth certificate to Nigeria, and have it authenticated and legalised (alongside mine), and then have them sent back to him. That would take a considerable amount of time which I am worried that I don't have. Is there maybe another way to go about proving family ties?
Did anyone here who had a sponsor in the US go through this?
And lastly, does a sponsor have to be a close relative? Can a family friend sponsor someone? I have a family friend in Belgium and I read somewhere that sponsors in Belgium don't have to prove family ties.
Please I would love to get some info about this. The ones I've been gathering online have been somewhat contradictory. The Embassies are not helping as well, as they have not been responding to my mails.
Thank you very much. Hello boss. How did this later go? How did you go about proving your ties with your sponsor? |

Hello guys, I have a care interview coming up with an NHS department. They have requested to show a proof of address and a means of ID, of which I'll show my passport.
For the proof of address, the utility bill for my apartment has the name of the property owner. And it wasn't the address I filled while applying as my address has changed since I made the application. Can I use the bill like that? Anyone with this experience? |

Travel › Re: My Flight Has A Stopover At Dublin, Do I Need A Transit Visa? by SouthSultan(m): 7:15am On Jul 22, 2023 |
ExpressBooking: I really don't understand why Turkish Airlines will route a flight going to Scotland UK through Dublin.
First the Hub for Turkish Airlines is Istanbul and they have lots of flights going to UK daily. Why didn't they take you to LHR, LGW or STN, from where they can easily get you to Glasgow.
Bringing that Aircraft from Istanbul to Dublin, for onward Journey to Glasgow will be a big loss to Turkish Airlines, as they won't get enough passengers in Dublin to fill up the flight from Dublin to Glasgow. Ryan Air flies a round trip from Dublin to Glasgow for €65, a price Turkish Airlines won't fly for a one way ticket on that route.
Aer Lingus, Ryan Air and British Airways will make that trip way cheaper than Turkish Airlines and more persons will prefer them.
But in any case, if they route your flight through Dublin, then you need a transit visa to be on the safe side Turkish Airline doesn't take you to Glasgow when they get to Dublin, there's usually a connecting flight like Aer Lingus that does that which you would have already booked for and it's in your ticket |

elloso: I later used British Airways. It has just a stopover at Heathrow and then to Scotland. Very good choice I must say. Did your inquiries make you opt for British Airways? Did you find out that you would need a transit visa? Let people following this thread know for future reference. Enjoy Scotland! |

Frankly, I was in the same situation a few days back. I called Turkish Airline and they said that my friend and children that I booked a flight for to Glasgow from Abuja en route Dublin, would require a transit visa in Ireland. I even went as far as calling the Ireland Embassy here in Nigeria and they sent this. https://www.irishimmigration.ie/at-the-border/transit-including-transfer-visa-advice/Let us know how it goes after your inquiries. We later rerouted sha, but it was at great cost. And FYI, Dublin is not in the UK |

Sell the land only after getting admission and you are sure what you going for.
And then, 10m nor go reach you complete the Japa movement. You would need your friend or other relatives to support you with another 10m to get to your promise land.
PS: you need the money for your proof of funds, you can send it back to whomever lent you when you arrive. |

hayesconcept: Yes, there’s law against it. As a family of 5, at least you need 2 to 3bedroom to start with. Those living in shared apartments with your MA will snitch to the landlord or the council and this might involve police or social care. The implications of it is that your children will be taken away from you pending the time you’re able to sort yourself out. Did you want something like that?
My advice for you is to travel before the vignettes expired and find money to booked the return ticket in a week. Try and collect all your BRP cards within that week and return to naija with the kids. You can then return alone to look for a job and secure better accommodation.
UK no dey joke with Children. Ire oo Thanks man, but MA is a care worker who is already in UK. He just wants to know if he can stay with them in the shared flat for like a month, until he sorts out a 2room for the fam. |

Molajim: I doubt if anyone will rent out 1 room to a fam of 5., considering the utilities that y’all will use. The simple answer is no, there is no guarantee ul get appropriate accommodation in 2 months but we don’t know ur situation. MA is already there living in a room in a 3 bedroom shared apartment, and things have really been somehow. Dependants have to go before vignettes expire. Would there be law contravention of any kind? |

dee1504: I know someone who has been applying to NHS organisations for care roles as well but has not been successful despite having 2 interviews so far. The recruiters simply claim the Band she's applying for (Band 4) is not high enough to warrant sponsorship from abroad (which is a lie). Some use the Red-list excuse. What I always advise her to do is to keep applying. All the setbacks won't matter when you get one 'Congratulations' email.
What you can do is to keep proof-reading your CV and supporting information. Make it as comprehensive and grammatical error-free as possible. Joy is coming soon.
In addition, Care roles are not the only jobs available in the UK. Check for other roles that you may be qualified for, you may just be surprised at what you will find.
I hope this helps Thank you very much for this boss |

Education › First Class And Excellent Masters Degree Holders Would Get Automatic Employment? by SouthSultan(op): 10:12am On Jun 11, 2023 |
I am one person that believes that in order to curtail the activities of internet fraudsters and yahoo yahoo, the government has to put enticing educational incentives in place for youth to to take their education seriously.
Truly, if there are jobs for graduates after school and the quality of the education is such that is obtainable throughout the world, cybercrime would greatly reduce and eventually lose its enchantment on the Nigerian youth.
Thus, I feel that if first class Bachelors holders and excellent Masters and PhD graduates automatically get jobs, these would go a long way to eliminate or drastically reduce frustration and increase the incentive of education. |

Hello guys, please UKVI is requesting that my niece of 7 years show evidence that she was born on her said date of birth. We are having this problem cus the date of birth on her certificate was different from the date it was issued.
This is basically for the fact that there was an addition to her surname which the former birth certificate did not have, and on issuing the new one, there was discrepancy in the date of issuance and date of birth. Can she swear an affidavit as to the differences in both dates on her cert? Should she submit the former cert and explain why she had to do a new one? |
