You need to work a lot on Roscoe social skill because what you explained is insecurity which could be very dangerous when he is fully matured. A dog at 5 months is supposed to be free and happy. You have to stop using the dryer to control him because you are creating a bigger problem for the future.

I would start obedience training with him right away if I were you. Take him everywhere and let him get comfortable around strangers but don't allow anyone outside your family to pet or touch him.

is there any reason why you said strangers should not touch or pet?

I have visited several forums and websites of dog breeders far more experienced than you are and they all say one thing then you're out here telling us you have "experience" because you train malinois?
I presently have videos in my phone showing kangals and COs doing things that you tell us they can't to back up all my claims and the only thing you have is the "experience" card you're so eager to play every time
you only have experience with one breed(which is the one you favour BTW) so stop flaunting your inadequate experience
anybody with logical reasoning and the internet not clouded with childish bigotry will be able to see what we are saying is very true
I have watched videos of it happening, I have a brain to understand what's going on, people all around the world have verified it as a fact and yet the only thing you have is "experience"

meanwhile, I have posted the specs and pics of the dogs I'm arguing about and I also have numerous videos of the things happening (which I'm not able to post) and yet your greatest counter argument is " you have more experience "
I have videos of COs and kangals flipping grown men,countering agitation sticks,being beaten with rods and overpowering the intruder with the rod without backing down even after you said they have lost their glory over the years.
I even have videos of COs jumping fences to get to intruders and taking on multiple attackers at once without backing down missing their target and turning back to attack immediately again, all things you made it look like they couldn't do
until you can share valid proof to back up your claim, stop telling us about experience or gameness
either you give any other valid point of argument that hasn't already been successfully dismissed as stipulation by me or someone else or you accept defeat, stop all this experience bullcrap

Oluomoadebayo had a rott from one of the best bloodlines in Europe he gave out for free don't think he only has experience with malinois.

thanks,its good to know that our argument educated some people.having a dog is more than just feeding it.U need to dedicate ur time and effort into training .The type of training depends on d breed.I currently own a local dog but am I preparing to devote 15 years into making them a standard breed.I am studying d behaviour of my dog, doing my research online ,seeking advise from other experienced breeders cos I see a lot of potential in my dog.

this your project won't be easy and 15 years will be too small plus you need community effort o

let's leave sentiment and be realistic in this part of the world how many times have you heard of wolves attacking livestock? but robbers and burglers are rampant people get dog as personal security these days not to guide livestocks from wolves or wild beasts and as far as it is for personal protection malinois stands out truth is I rather get chased by a Caucasian than get chased by a malinois. do you think you can outrun a malinois or maybe climb on car to escape? Nah a malinois will follow you to any length even if you like jump enter lagoon. malinois is not a good guard dog but a good working dog so what is guarding or is guarding not work? malinois are very versatile and can fit almost any profile forget about all these strength or whatever If I have a gun I will take Anthony Joshua down in 2 seconds gra gra no dey win race

You're very right. Ekuke's are very rugged and are built to survive our harsh conditions. My Ruggedman was never sick a day in his life. We eventually had to put him down when he became too ill to eat, at the ripe old age of 16. He died of old age

they are recruiting d malinois becos of their speed, flexibility and ability to learn fast.but u can't see d Russians use a malinois to guard livestock from bears and wolves..they would simply ripp d malinois apart.
these dogs are bred for diff purposes... d Caucasian for their strength, bravery... d malinois for their speed,flexibility,intelligence and loyalty(thats what the police force look for in a dog)

imagine telling a certified doctor to go and teach in a primary school... is that not an insult?

belgium Shepherd are more flexible and faster than most security dogs. they have d drive to to learn and are more focused during training. But I would rather go for a DDR because of they have all these qualities (not compared to d malinois tho) and are larger in size(I love huge dogs).
I don't think a pure bred Caucasian would back down from a fight.. I would have to disagree. they are bred to face wolves,bears etc. Caucasian are much stronger than a malinois and I personally prefer them to malinois in terms of guarding d compound.

I dont want to start treating someone to prove a point.Caucasians and the like are better guard dogs than malinois and their kind but malinois and co are better working dogs.But they can still switch roles and excel at them.Reason this,if malinois are such excellent guard dogs why don't they use them to guard prisons and big buildings? They are smarter but it's not smartness that will take down well built men.That's what caucs rotts and boerbels were bred for.Brute strength.Not their intelligence.The people that use gsd at airports and barracks use them for intelligence and for the fact that they can be called off a chase.They are also more agile and faster than big strong dogs.But when it's time to fight they still fall back on big dogs.E.g. the battle of stalingrad in ww2.It is the deadliest battle in history.Caucasians fought alongside Russian soldiers in that war and took out machine gun positions.One bullet wasn't enough to bring them down.Can a malinois do that? but gsd and malinois are used as spies which Caucasian and mastiffs can't do due to their size and unintelligence.Do you get my point?
