sarrki:Did you see the meaning of corpsocracy? Only a zombie delights in corpses ruling him/her. |
There's a lady I've known from when I was a little child. I heard and read so much about her and as a child, I innocently fell in love with her. I don't know if she ever got to know about my feelings for her. The feelings lasted far longer that I could have imagined. I never cared about her age, she was my senior by some decades, yet I loved her non- stop. I never would have known that someday, somehow, my love for her would ever be shaken, but that is exactly what has happened. She's taken ill as of late, well it's been a while now since she took ill and there seem to be no cure or help in sight. Her beauty is all gone due to the number of men that went into her, by lying and deceiving her. On top of that, she's been used and abused by those whom she had given everything. Those whom she had trusted to be her guides due to her inability to use her poor eyesight took advantage of her and had their ways with her again and again. Lies about her abound, and they seem to come from all sides. Some said she is a lady who is easily trapped by 'sweet mouth' and others say she goes 'chasing' after men of no repute nor means. It just breaks my heart to see my once envious lady become a shadow of herself. I no longer go to her place to hear her reel out one story after another like I was used too when I was a child because she I found out that she even lied to me in one of such stories where she said I was a leader of tomorrow. She never told me there was no tomorrow. Maybe, if we had joined our hands together, we could have helped her heal and make her strong. It now seems too late to salvage her from the path of destruction she has found herself. She's well over 56 years old, way too young to die, but could anyone stop her from her suicide mission, given that she is reputed for feasting on her children to please the wishes of her abusers?. Her name is 'Nigeria', a lady I used to love, can't tell why I am suddenly not finding her appealing like I used to when I was a child. Those days where the periods I was so proud of her. I don't know how she found herself where she is now and I don't know who could go in and bring her out of the dark room she hides her once-beautiful-but- now-ugly-face. She seems only appealing to those who go into abuse her like some reprobates do to some deranged women in the dark- leaving them with children who never get to experience the love of a father or that of a mother. Oh Lady Nigeria, see what has become of you. source: www.ojojorok.com/2017/07/the-lady-i-used-to-know-and-how-she.html?m=1 Visit to leave your comments and views on many tropical issues relating to Nigeria. |
Who is a leader? What are his or her roles as a
leader? Are there different denominators that
characterize leaders in one society, Nigeria for
instance, to those of other climes? What is the
chief purpose why a leader is needed among a
group of people? What makes a good, effective,
efficient and a successful leader? Are the leaders
born or they are made?
Someone stated that ‘every society gets the
leadership that it deserves’, and I couldn’t have
agreed more. Everyone one of us is first a member
of one family and a larger society or the other. The
leader is not necessary born but made. A leader is
first conditioned by his society, before any other.
So, how had the family and the society raised
those who they had entrusted with leadership?
Were the people ever told and taught the essence
of leadership? Do they understand that you don’t
seek to become a leader for your sake but for
others? Were they also instructed by those who
nurtured them that you don’t occupy the position of
leadership if you have got nothing to give or
improve the lives of your subjects?
What Leadership is not
· It is not an opportunity to acquire wealth
· It is not an opportunity to acquire fame
· It is not an opportunity to showcase power
What Leadership is
· Leadership is an opportunity to serve
· It is an opportunity to improve the lives of
others
· It is an opportunity to defend the weak
· It an opportunity to motivate subjects to the
discovery of self-worth
· It is an opportunity to unite subject,
irrespective of differences that may exist
In a simple term, one could liken a leader to a
shepherd, who guides his herds to the best
vegetation he could find so they could feed and be
well nurtured, without caring for the distance he
had to cover to achieve that. And again a leader
could also be likened to a ‘true’ father, in a family
setting, who goes out to look for what he and his
family will survive on and if his getting were to be
insufficient to reach everyone, he will be the first
mouth to be exempted from eating. For as long as
his children can feed, he is satisfied. I think that
aptly defines what sacrifice entails. Many a man
have been found wanting in this responsibility and
have instead left it to their wives, many of who
have played it very well. But, is it not a shame that
a man should abscond from his duties and
responsibilities as the head and leader of the
home, leaving the woman to play the dual roles of
the home builder and the breadwinner? It seems,
just as this lack of true leadership is reigning
supreme in the home front, it has taken more
proportional dimension in our societal, community,
state and national lives.

Benita27:You really got it right. These two points are very valid and could be the main culprit. |
Bitcoin1000:Don't be offended with my question, does your Local government headquarters smell? I mean very pronounced (in case you can't answer that here, send me a. PM). You see in 2012 I was in Magboro in Ogun state, visiting and I met this tall black and beautiful girl and I said to myself this was what I need to remember my stay there. And the first time she showed up , she granted me access but the local government headquarters was something else and by the time I was done, the entire air in the room was in bad shape and any thought of trying again was gone for good. |

Hi Mr. iykepromotions and others, I just saw a Nigeria firm that has the exact keywords of my domain with only difference being LTD added to theirs, for instance mine is www.KeyWord.com, while theirs is www.KeyWordLtd.com. My question is, what is the best way for me to approach them and make them want to discard their three keywords domain for my two keywords? I wanted to contact them immediately I saw it but I decided to sought ideas and suggestions so that I don't bundle the chances of selling my first domain. Thank you |

When a nation surrounds itself with a mediocre and his likes to be at the helms of affairs, all you get is first class foolishness and an excruciating hunger in the stomachs of the people. No nation that seeks progress watches and claps while its president occupies a state of vegetable and after upturning all previous developmental gains, except that nation is Nigeria. Can't we all see how foolish we have all being by keeping quite and not demanding for the right thing to be done? How can a man be hospitalize for, almost at a stretch,120 days and you still think that such a man is not incapacitated? And this is coming for a supposed lawmaker and who didn't deem it fit to cite the relevant portion of the constitution that provides for such a perpetual medical vacation. The most debilitating thing about this whole drama is the fact that it is the youth that will suffer the end product of this poor governance that has been urging the incompetent man to do as he wishes. Nigeria is in the hands of some brutish men as leaders, but we used our hands to install them. |
