Travel / Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by sparkle01: 6:23am On Mar 04, 2023
Hello Biggybee

Please, kindly help me. I am reaching out to you because my wife was not allowed Mr Paulinus because we had no appointment for our 9month baby. The embassy said we need to book another appointment and I cannot wait another one year for family reunion

I have a blue card already. I have approached my employer but said he needs a format letter from someone that passed through same process.

Please, can you help me with the format letter your received from the Hr? I will be grateful. Please, feel free to grey out informations that are sensitive.

I will send an email request to you as well and I will be glad to hear from you.

Thanks

Biggybee:

Thank you...
But No sir/ma.
My husband is NOT a DAAD scholar.

The only thing we did was we used the DAAD method. A spouse of a DAAD scholar here was gracious enough to tell me what the content of the letter they take to the embassy was. (SHOUT OUT TO YOU MA.. THANKS!!!)

My spouse then approached the HR at his office to give us a letter to the embassy.

They wrote a letter stating his name, my name, that i was his wife, my passport number, the residence permit he has, his work capacity, how much he earns and that he is able to put me under his insurance , sustain me and put me in a language school over there. They also added that they would want me to join him by January 2022.

All of this was typed on a letter in deutsch with their own letterhead which we mailed the embassy with (this got us a date for interview). I also took a hard copy of same letter to the embassy for my interview, even though it wasn't requested(the interviewer was quite rude), i made sure i dropped it off.

I don't know how helpful this is but please if your SPOUSE ain't a scholar but works. PLEASE LET YOUR SPOUSE TRY AND APPROACH THE HR AT HIS WORKPLACE FOR A LETTER.

I don't think the marriage date affected verification though... Afterall, going through the thread has shown that marriage prior travel didn't stop people from the long wait or verification. I think since the letter from my spouse's workplace already called me his wife, they just agreed that it was.

Thanks again sir/ma.

Sidenote: Now that you bring up the aspect of no verification, can i ask for a refund? Cos i paid the 150k for verification o. Money scarce grin

Good day my people,
I have a question.
please, my wife got admission to study in UK and we are planning to relocate together. I am presently not in Nigeria but she is in NIgeria.
I would like to know if I can deposit about 70% of the money in my bank account where I currently reside as Proof of fund for the 28days and the remaining 30% balance in her account in Nigeria.
I want to know if this will work for CAS and the embassy.

Would u be able to travel down to Nig and both of u apply at same time with same documents?

I won't be able to travel to Nigeria.
I plan to apply from here and she apply from Nigeria.
Her code will be written in my application form to the embassy and would share both documents for CAS.

hope it will work out?

I sent my funding confirmation yesterday (8090). Looks like the new rule doesn't affect those that used the old blocked account form.

Thank you Jesus! cool

The thing is that I did my visa interview on May 17th, on June 10, I won PTDF overseas scholarship, so I need my original waec and Univ cert for documentation to claim my award, it's written on German embassy website that it takes 8weeks to process the visa stuff so my 8 weeks elapsed last week, don't they process the visa stuff without blocked acct funded? Or can't I receive my original documents without showing blocked acct funded and then provide evidence of funding to get my visa approved?
lol.... My document is with the embassy since 3 of march. And if you know you are not interested in Germany, you can as well mail them but be sure of what you are doing. Goodluck

Vex put ke. For wetin na bros. Na me dem go tell to go add extra €600?

Who wouldn't want the deposit to remain at €8040 or even reduce?

I am just trying to let you know that the new law takes effect from this winter, and if you like make e be say you don fund your account since last year, you are required to show €8640 before visa is granted. Lets wait and see.
@UNCLE, are you trying to tell us that those awaiting visa with €8040 in there account, that with this amount for winter 2016, that their visa will not be issued until they upgrade to new amount? Need more clarification.

Hello all, I just got an interview invite from University of Heidelberg, MSc Physics. Is there anyone here who has done a similar interview conducted by this same or a different university for MSc Physics? I need information as regards the likely questions to expect and prepare for.

Thanks for your anticipated responses.
jst relax and first calm down, make sure you study the course you are going for, the reason for selecting the course, why you chose the university incase they ask, you must be able to explain your project work in ur b.sc from the topic to the last chapter, u must relate urself with the course and course code which you did in ur first degree, and most importantly those course that relates with ur m.sc course. More so, be prayerful and stable during the interview. Good success

My people in the house, I greet oh! E don tay shaa. Seeing the recent pages bring shock and disbelief to me. Studying in Germany is not easy. I will always say this. If your primary aim is to study, and secondary to make money (at least while you're still a student), then by all means come, but if the reverse is the case, then........
As for what my ogas (pompido, Nevilbot, Schwartz) have said, they have their merits and demerits. I also live in Kiel, as well as Pompi, and I can confirm some of the things he said (we more or less work together wink) but do not mistake it for an excessive cashflow! During school period it is difficult to make above 500 (after tax) monthly and successfully face your classes (though making around that is very feasible, especially in the summer months). During the holidays, things are very different.
If you do not believe in dignity in labour, and have a hard time taking care of pets, or cleaning and you believe you should be entitled to the same "class of job" as you did in Nigeria, EVEN AS A STUDENT, then Germany is no place for you! Do not come here

To this end, I have always not been in support of taking loans to come here, or selling property (I think a loan is slightly worse though). Not because you won't payback (there's no guarantee that you will in the short term), but because the pressure of even thinking about it all will depress you so bad it will affect other parts of your life here.
Bros Williamso, I need you to pls attend to my pm. God bless you
