im on the queue too |
my fave is Toyota, more preferrably the S class and the Rav-4 Mini-Jeep then comes the Honda Element, my all-time fave. i just love the car for no good reason. |
u guys, pls help me with this check 2T1CF22P8YC276283. thanx. |
anything that fits the individual definition of Quality, i think. here, its a relative term. |
abeg, same goes for me: 2T1CF22P8YC276283. 'preciate it. |
bro, u earthrealm:my bro, for the toyota yaris S sedan (auto transmission), u can get a good price of 2.1m and even on a 4-yr lease, u'll be paying an average of 40k per month, along with a comprehensive insurance policy. for me, so far it is a toyota brand, a tear rubber will always beat toks anytime, because you're the first one who's going to drive it, trust me, u wont get a better feeling. look at the 2002 camry, its sturdy but the design come concept is fast fading out, 3 years from now, it will have become almost 10 years old. as for the male-ego problem, on Sunday after church service, i saw a guy drive by in a sleek black Yaris S and i fell in love with him. hey, its a unisex car anytime, even without having to compare it to the micro-mini Peugeot hatchbacks, so wot is the biggie? bro, at the end of the day, the decision will still be yours, but as for me, im getting a new Yaris S in a week. i'll be keeping you posted on how it feels to be the first to drive your own car. |
babygal, u never tell me say u wan buy car. omo we are in the same shoes, just that u need to multiply your amount by 2 or more, to get to my own figure for an ideal toyota car (which falls into the 5-year car range, ie 2003 till date). but for your amount, u aint going to get correct tokunbo for those three brands of cars u mentioned, except if they have been well used in naija or accidented. i would advise u to get a toyota for durability, fuel efficiency and easy maintenance, especially if you're going to be plying the island-mainland route, u don't want Caro spurting and dying on you, esp in the middle of the 3rd mainland bridge. moreover, toyota is high purchase and low maintenance, if that is the way u like it. so, let me suggest u get additional 150k, and buy a lovely '99-2000 toyota corolla / avensis model at a giveaway price of about a million, thanx to our faithful Nairalander friends or family with great bargaining power. Good luck, seeke |
HABA, IT SHOULD BE FAR MORE THAN THAT. IT ALL DEPENDS ON IF IT'S BEEN USED ON NAJIA ROAD AND FOR HOW LONG, THEN I GUESS IT'LL BE ABOUT THAT PRICE |
NextProdigy:which one are u referring to for 1.5m? the corolla or the yaris? |
atilla:u mean the double rainbow? it was in Ikeja, Lagos and lasted for 15 minutes on a drizzly Saturday mornin in November '07. hey, jidody, the car is really neat, lemme 'thinks' about it |
@ nextprodigy, hi, congrats on the sale of ur lovely honda. pls can u help me on this: i need a compact toyota, preferably corolla( btw 2003 and 2005), automatic, A/C fitted, 4-door, not more than 30,000km for 1.5m urgently better still, if u kno anyone ready to sell his used yaris for that amount, i dont mind. |
hey, au in the world did u have to sell the Camry? ok, here is the deal, au much can i get a compact Corolla, not older than 2003? |
pyramid777:i hope u don't mind if i share this thread with you seeing as we are in the same boat im looking to get a toyota also within the next 2 months and i need help on where to get it and au much it costs. Most of my pips think a toks toyota is the best option for me, since its going to be my first car and im not yet a superb driver. i would prefer a cute compact toyota (corolla, i guess), not older than 2003. i have a budget of between 800k and 1.5m. dont mind if there are other Toyota options, compact 4-door cars preferably,. My fellow Nairalanders, please come to our (pyramid 777 and I) aid. |
Sorry, mate, had the same palava once. my nokia N72 fell inside the toilet while i was taking a leak. it neva recovered. had to get anoda one ( this time N73 music edition - talk about bouncing back). Moral lesson: never take ur phone to the bathroom, even if u just want to brush ur teeth. |
i dated 2 guys my age and they both thought i was too bossy and developing wings after some time, i was too ambitious and always getting ahead of them. came out with higher grades in Uni than one of them and became a chartered accountant before the other,,,we were always competing and i seemed to be the one on the winning side, talk about ego, i dated a guy 6 years older than me, and i found conversations interesting, we were always sparring with words, it was fun, and he would say things like, hmm, you're learning fast, we always seem to be on the same intellectual level. don't get it twisted, the female bio clock ticks fast and the male one hardly ticks, i don't think i want to celebrate my hubby's 40th b/day and have the guests think im his mother, for me, anything from 4-7 years is ok for me, thats my heart desire. |
when i go out with my guys (friends in this case) i really enjoy sitting at the back alone, so i can flow with both /all of them, it really is enjoyable. but my guy, haba, na back the best friend go siddon ooo, i would do the same for my guy in my car with my bestest friend, so why wont he? moreover, a friend may not mind his sitting position, so for the sake of national peace, abeg let the babe siddon for front. don't forget, men are from Mars and women are from Venus,,, so quit trying to understand women, just let them have their way on issues like this, esp when it wont make any difference to you (guys). if some simple things such as chocolates and flowers and periodic phone calls mean so much to babes, imagine somthing like sitting arrangement, get the drift? Lil things like this show the level or R-E-S-P-E-C-T the guy has for the babe,,, so when next your bobo tells u to go to the back, my dear, its time to get out of the car altogether. |
i like the fact that cuteangel's favourite body part that's coloured red will be one of the two major openings i like the mouff better |

what i absolutely love about being SINGLE is the freedom to explore my inner-self and be who I want to be, accountable ONLY to myself and GOD. Moreover, the period of singleness is usually short , compared to a lifetime of marriage, so LADIES, please ENJOY the MOMENT while you can. being able to wake up and go to bed at will, watch tv and movies, read novels, flirt gracefully, hang out with soooo many guy-friends, take midnight calls and pik up my phone when i feel like it, without owing anybody explanation. Freedom to be confident about my body, when guys ogle at me, without being accused of swaying my hips to attract undue attention. or without having to feel insecure because he's ogling another babe's deep cleavage, which i happen to be deficient in. i just love being single and who says SINGLE is boring? there u make friends and act without pretences. its a period of SINGULARITY AND JOY. PERIOD. |
please upload the pic of the car, some of us are quite interested. and i hope the price is negotiable. |
I LOVE THIS FORUM. ITS FULL OF HILARIOUS PSYCHOANALYSTS ![]() |
pls , does anyone kno au much i can get a fairly used toyota yaris 2006 or 2007. thx |
WOW!!! a lot of frank talk has been said for and against the issue of marriage. i've seen hubbies that have done their 40th wedding anniversary and are still going strong, and i have seen those married for less than 5 years, and have just about had it. I hope to get married some day, but what gets on my nerves is when pips start asking you " so, when are u inviting us to your own wedding?" Secondary sch: face your studies and no boyfriends University: face your studies and don't get pregnant Post- Uni: get married to Mr. Right less than a year after school and have kids a year after. let me use my life as a specimen soceity expects me to: - finish sec sch, pass WAEC and NECO and have at least 250 in JAMB, otherwise im a failure - finish first class or at least 2.1 in a uni, otherwise, im unserious and unfocused - get a job in Zenith or Chevron, otherwise im just one of the crowd - get married, otherwise im just a corporate slut. - have kids at most 3 years after marriage, otherwise im barren or have destroyed my womb through abortion - have at least one boy-child, otherwise i want to destroy my husband's lineage - have a car to my name and be able to attend society parties, otherwise we don't belong to the elite class - my kids must travel for summer hols, otherwise we are a wretched family - etc etc - i must kick the bucket, at most by age 90, for if im still alive at 120 and all my kids happen to be dead by then, im a WITCH!!! from the time a Nigerian kid is born to the time it dies an old age, society dictates its every move, whether it pleases him or not,,, bliv me, it can be frustrating. and nobody seems to care how u feel about anything. But when push comes to shove, thats when you find out that you are really On YOUR OWN!!! Bottom line is this: i will get married, WHEN i find a true friend whom i love, but who happens to love me more, warts and all. But most definitely, not before that. END OF DISCUSSION, |
