try LEave Me Alone by Michael Jackson Too Little Too Late - Jojo Hit the Freeway - Toni Braxton |
@kinkinatus, why dnt you stop listening to stories, try and write your own. and y dont you borrow leaves from the successful marriages around, y the failed ones? abeg, im praying to God to make my marriage heaven on earth, by getting married to the one i love, making God the foundation and the Head of the Home. i see a lot of successful marriages out there and i pray mine will be come of the successful ones too. i happen to live with a family in Lagos and you wont believe after 17 years of marriage, not once did i notice any tension in the house. and they dont even have kids. i have been living with them for 3 years now and tho they have their moments of argument and disagreement, the way they settle it can only be called love and understanding and extreme patience. both of them cuddle on the floor of the living room on the floor, watching TV together. e be like say dem no even send me anymore. they have grown to love each other and look beyond their flaws and weaknesses and accept the way they both are, making christ their Head so, its all about the foundation, thats the truth. |

well, i am one of the fortunate people who look fantastic with simple white powder and colourless lip balm, so i wont say im under any pressure to look good. needless to say, the society dictates the norm but come to think of it, who makes the society, its u and me, so what are we saying here? |
MI is the shizzy abeg oo the guy is a natural talent even his song on the other artists' songs sounded natual like raw talent (dont know the titlw of the song where he was referencing other naija artists' songs) Naeto C is kool too, but i prefer M I Anoti for life please listen to Jehovah by MI, u will become a believer, halleluyah |

i have a friend who had oral and auditory fixation on KSA. she had ALL the tapes in school then she always had an earpiece plugged to her ears and humming "the merciful God" while lectures were going on. i wonder how the chic passed sef. i told her the Committee of Friends will sponsor KSA's appearance at her wedding we (the committe i mean) are all still struggling tho and i hope KSA will live long enuff and she will also have the patience for us to scrounge the millions together haba, that maestro doesnt come cheap abeg. |
yes it is some are too gruesome and heartbreaking for u to say everything as it is but at least say most of the basic stuff but leave out the gory details e.g. you were a cultist and killed while in uni simply say u were in the fraternity and were actively involved in the hooliganism, lives were lost during such fracas but at least u thank God all in all, u r still alive, then leave the rest to her imagination. u dont have to say, "i was a cultist and i killed about 7 guys while in school, so i have blood on my hands" if u catch my drift. thats why we have the power of speech and thought. it all depends on the way you laya it on the table. |
hmm, sensitive issue most def i have to contribute , but foot the entire bill foor the marriage? no way, jose once u start footing the bills at the point of the wedding, ladies,, u'll foot the bill in the marriage till death do u guys part. u know how it is. |
No, even the wealthy accountants like Akintola Williams, the Dafinone family and doctors like those in private pracitce and own their own hospitals sef no get limousne, talkless of jet well, maybe its just not on their priority list. |
jolie is pretty stunning but i'll go for Aishwarya anytime anyday. it takes an extremely confident girl to win a Miss World Contest, coupled with the homely and humble attitude she wears always.she has the approachable look. Jolie's look of confidence on the other hand, will make you think twice about running to her for an autograph, there is just that tiny chance you might get snobbed |
not that i have heard |
in answer to the Q, Yes i like my full name and No, Nigerians dont have funny names. Funny is relative. Guaranteed, some names can be over-the-top but i believe that goes for all the other languages, tibes, nationalities and countries also, the poster just hasnt bothered to find out. |
no, its not a waste of time. they are at an impressionable and highly distracting phase in their lives, so revisiting their school work goes a long way to help them remember things its also a time for bonding with their parents. |
Michael, you have been an inspiration to me and to millions the world over across three generations, whether white or black, from the liberian girl to the stranger in Moscow. While playing your part to heal the world you used what you had to help millions of people keep the faith and you opened your gates to the most neglected people in the world, the children, the lost children as you sought to give them the childhood you never knew. we all have our flaws and you were no exception, its just human nature, but those who accused you locked their numerous skeletons safely in the closet. your life was a thriller, but the love you saved attracted the good, the bad , the Dirty Diana and the dangerous alike. Say say say, all i have been able to do was just to cry, Why you?!. "leave me alone, you continued to scream, but you know, Michael, you cant Win them all, so you've got to know when to beat it. Just remember, you are not alone, as i long to sing the earth song to soothe you, but what have i got to give the world's most generous? i am speechless I love you more but God loves you the most ,you are gone too soon. Heaven can wait, you thought, but now will you be there to hold my hand? you are my Ben. Love, your no 1 fan little Suzie |
lol she attends Daystar Christian Centre. i have seen her twice at the 10.15am service near Entrance 1 with her little boy, looks like he's around 10yrs old. she is light-skinned and wears half the amunt of make-up she does in movies. she is very confident. i noticed all these sitting two rows behind her in church. she is not as tall as she look s in ovies also. abeg, dat lady fine o. and i happen to like her the more now that i know she is human, lol |
i have two friends with vitiligo and i know how bad it can get, with regards to self-esteem. at least now, MJ can rest in peace. He didn t know but he touched my life and helped me through trying times through his inspiring songs. God bless you and may you find peace in Heaven. |

thats like between the devil and the deep blue sea, but i go for the sea anytime, cos the devil aint an option. for me, i'ld rather have a pregnant daughter at the age of 23, than a gay son. the daughter can still sober up and still get a great life, the gay son is gay for life. i cant deal with that. goshdamnnn |
the address is no 100, Allen Avenue, opp Alade market, their prices range from full time to part time, i went there last in '07 and their prices were 30k. i dont know about now tho. 014715103. i think thats their number, u can try it. cheers |
the issue with Yetkem(100, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, opp Alade Market) is that they dont take weekend classes anymore. i have been there a few times. pls does anyone know any catering school in Lagos? |
i dont know the origin of the word, but its been around for a while, dat i know. i didnt even know Naeto-C sang anything close to it. Las-Gidi, Lag, Eko, all na the same. People just coin stuff out of ingenuity and when it sounds good enough to the next ear, it spreads by word of mouth, just like Yankee, Jand, JD, JJC, FFO, Aproko, Efiwe, Efiko, the list is endless. i have even coined a few slangs myself and they became popular in my little society, i.e. hostel, home and place of work respectively What trips me the most, is when people in various parts of Lagos State say they are going to Eko/Lagos. First time i heard it , i did a double-take, asking "so if you are going to Eko, where the heck are we?" That was before i knew Eko meant Eko-Idumota mega-market and its environs, where you can get any and everythin at the cheapest possible wholesale price. Eko o ni baje o, o baje ti!!! |
@redman44, Word!! im happi i wasnt faced with the dire situation of either picking up a marketing bank job or being unemployed, cos trust me, when u have been in the house for 18 months living off mum post-NYSC, bank job seems like bliss. tho at the moment, i havent met a single banker friend who is even remotely happy with their job. I just havent. for my brothers and sisters in that situation, i refer you to sagamite's advice a few posts above, thats the way forward. just take banking job as a stepping stone to greater heights, its just a matter of time and take it as part of the learning process. Bless u hey, by the way , what is F.I Funds? |
ewa agonyin and bread, then iya Oyalowo's ofada rice sold and dished opposite Lantoro Psychiatric hospital in Abeokuta. you'ld be suprised at the number of polished cars are parked there everyday. location - razz, food - world class taste |
kshow1:darn right you are. it depends on your financial standing. however, i dont think a barber, tailor, etc. will ask such a question on nairaland since most of them know how to sort themselves out. however, if you are a banker or anything in that white collar category (where people expect a lot from you), just do a registry wedding, invest in long-lasting rings and use the rest on your new family. remember people will come, chop and go, na u and the new bride go remain. so i wish you best of luck. |
salsera and amakaone, i love your simple recipes. does anyone know of any catering institute in Lagos. i hve tried YetKem catering institute, but they never seem to be there on weekend. i just want to formalise what i already know and learn various ways of doing the same thing. cos i dont exactly have unlimited access to the kitchen in my uncle's house on weekends and i work late on weekdays, u know Lagos any suggestion will be appreciated |
