HealthRe: This Is Very Important by spicy007(f): 2:34pm On Aug 28, 2008
hey,
its easy for you guys to laff because for the guys, u aint experiencing it and for the girls, they are not having to deal with the shame and frustration poured on them by boyfys and husbands with the issue.

the thing is this: i havent experienced it with a loved one so i don't kno au it feels to have it, but i now there are real people with real ejaculation problems.

the thing that bugs me however is the reason why someone with that kind of problem will place a call to a fellow nairalander  to solve it.

Anyway, i guess anonymity helps a lot.
EducationRe: Secrets Of First Class Students? by spicy007(f): 1:40pm On Aug 27, 2008
ditto that , carmenlily, i also missed out first class, by -0.04, but hey its all good. i guess the trick is in setting ur goal from the start and being "determinedly" dead serious about it. Do not give urself excuses when u start recording negative variances between ur achievement and ur goal. be disciplined and stay supergued to God. Trust me it pays off.

Christianity EtcRe: Some Of Pastor E.A Adeboye's Testimonies by spicy007(f): 2:33pm On Jul 17, 2008
mr jydeguy,

i admire your ur courage in speaking out YOUR MIND, however be mindful of the fact that is the YOUR MIND and not necessarily the TRUTH.

God gave man the greatest power one can ever have, the power of choice. and you can choose to believe or not to believe all you hear.

but when you speak, speak wisely because your knowledge is only limited to education, mind and experience.

the man against whom you speak is anacclaimed MAN of GOD and i would advise you to steer clear of speaking against Him. GOD cannot be mocked!!!

moreover, as the Yorubas say "eni kan lo mo" - meaning it is the person that has been through a situation/dilemna that understands what he has gone through.

i rest my case

EducationRe: Information On Babcock University Ilisan-Remo, Ogun State by spicy007(f): 4:53pm On Jun 24, 2008
from the day i got into Babcock in 2001, we were given the tentative graduation date in 2005 and were told to work towards it because not all of us would make it to the graduation date. True to it,  some died, left the school, travelled out, went to other schools, got suspended or simply droopped out. None of the above happened in my case.

i finished from BU in '05. I had my own initial  reservations about the school before i got into it, u kno,  no free freedom as such, a lacto- vegetarian diet, no pants for girls except for exercise or training, no sleeveless tops, no earrings, strict attendance in chapel services, research research and more research,  yadiyadi yadi.

BU can't compare to CU in terms of infrastructure, but we have our own strenghs too, u kno. they allow cell phones, artistes are permitted to perform, networking / relationships are allowed and even encouraged, u can do a little business by the side, u can work for the school and get paid, they encourage community service, u can do summer holiday jobs in any part of the country via the school ( i did in Abuja for about two and a half months in 2003 and made about 90k, excluding tithes of course), etc,,, i can go on and on.

like they say, good things don't come easy, and you're either in or out of the school , just like tolutoms said,  when u get to it, u'll discover there's fun and fashion in every level , and its the more important things in life that should matter to you.

i didnt come out with a first class, but i could have, just lost it by 0.04 margin and i dont care what people say, but ur first degree is the most important, lays a good foundation for whatever else u want to learn in life.

however, i would advice anyone who wants to go to a private school in naija to have a taste of outside life first, like A-levels in a federal uni or first year, then u'll appreciate what the privae schools have to pffer without missing out completely of typical naija school life.

hope this helps
HealthRe: Pain-free Menstruation: How Achievable? by spicy007(f): 6:22pm On Jun 04, 2008
amber_ella:
You can talk to your doctor about the birth control pill and even try some different kinds until you find one that makes the pain subside.

Another option is the Mirena IUD. It's about $300 US but it lasts for 5 years and you don't get your period. It also doesn't have the other side effects of the pill (mood swings, weight gain, etc.)
hey, pls could u shed a lil more light on that, wot exactly do u mean one wouldnt see her period for 5 years?
i have dysmenorrhea also and bliv me , the first 5 hours isnt always funny. everyone around me always knows when it starts and its become an embarrassment.
HealthRe: Big Buttom And Hip by spicy007(f): 7:20pm On May 19, 2008
moreover, being perfect is bpring, thats why God created us with different skin colours, shapes and sizes, that way, it becoems interesting. moreover, i can bet that more than 80% of the civilised world would like to change at least one thing about themselves, even those u look up to as being perfect (models and stars).

i for one would like bigger breasts at least to complement my hips and ass which are too big for my body (some of my friends used to call me "figure 6" or "disproportionate"), but i've learnt to accept myself the way i am, in fact it makes me stand out, so i flaunt it and im proud of what i have now. must tell u it took a while tho.

so u see, love urself the way u are and carry urself well, sooner or later, pips will begin to complement you, try it.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do We Mourn When Someone Dies? Can't We Dance? by spicy007(f): 8:24pm On May 15, 2008
i just lost a dear friend on Monday, below 25 years. in the midnight fire gutted his house and he died. the thing is back in school, he was a real role model, a Child of God, if you will.

In times like this, one cant help but wonder if there is any hope for the rest of us, who compared to the departed, are still struggling with our spiritual lives.

its sad, when the person is so close, and i guess people cry for various reasons, but mostly cos we'll never get to see the person AGAIN in this LIFE. embarassed embarassed embarassed

FashionRe: The Typical African Female Body Shape! by spicy007(f): 7:23pm On May 07, 2008
yeah, maybe not the typical naija shape, but, doyammmmm, certainly the ideal.

im like the smaller version of that lady,, i get a lot of comments that my hips are to big for my body, but maybe, just maybe its cos my tummy is too small for my body, lol

she looks Ghanaian, i guess the shape is more Ghanaian than African, if u kno wot i mean

the african lady perhaps, yes the shape is awesome,

but the African woman has a bit of tummy, bigger boobs and is bigger( more succulent flesh in all areas) and bigger bum, lol

one thing common to all is the bum, u cant miss that, the black woman's ass stands out anyday
FashionRe: How Far Would You Go To Look Beautiful? by spicy007(f): 5:40pm On May 07, 2008
i would go to length to look beau

my beauty regimen is as follows:
- hair once a month, braids 6 wks, afro kinky 6-8 wks
- facials, once in 3 months
- manicure & pedicure- once a month
- nail fixing 3 months, and then 1 month of chemical- free period, lol
- eyebrow shapening - every Friday DIY
- make up- simple white powder, and lip balm/gloss,, eyeshadow, lip liner, lipstick and gloss come once a while
- hair removing lotion for legs, armpit, once in 2 weeks

- waxing, aromatherapy, body steaming once in 3 months at a spa, trust me its good to take care of urself and pamper ur body, it will repay u in kind, when u need it the most.

i have what u call figure 8 and i used to get complimented on it, but there was one thing i wasnt happy with, the kegs.
i used to think of doing a boob job cos im a 34A, didnt have the money then, but now i have it, im at peace with myself now.

im black and im loving it, wont bleach even if my life depended on it.

@ dominique,

yeah, i concur ooo, this site is highly addictive, im dead serious, i think seun has put juju on this site, he needs to be probed.

it is so bad now that nairaland.com is one of my 3 default IE7 pages, aside yahoo homepage and wikipedia.com

it started out as "oh,a naija forum, nice, let me join". cheesy
then, the denial stage: "haba, its good to be proud of your country, patronise naija stuff, including websites" grin
then, i wonder what new threads they are posting at this time" huh
then " let me even see if they have replied to any comments i made yesterday on that site sef" huh
now "let me rush my breakfast so i can start reading wots new on nairaland" shocked

cry cry cry i once got a voice memo at work for "chatting on nairaland"

but in all, it feels good to kno you're a vital part of a community and your opinions count.

i don't regret a bit of it, not even the voice memo

good job, Seun the militant, and his team

thumbs up

A king may move a man, a father claim a son,
but even if those who move you be kings or men of power,
your soul is  in your keeping alone.
When you stand in judgement, you cannot say,
"but i was told by others to do thus"
or that "virtue was not convenient at the time".
This will not suffice

AdvertsRe: Ecobank Naira Credit Vs Skyebank Naira Credit by spicy007(f): 10:31am On May 05, 2008
well, i've been using the Ecobank naira credit card for slightly over a year now, and it has sure helped pul me out of some spots.
when u apply, depending on he goodwill of your company and your annual take-home pay, you'll be given a limit to withdraw, e.g 100k at any point in time
u have a window period of 40 days to pay up whatever amount you withdraw, interest free. anything beyond the 40th day and u get charged 5% of your outstanding debt.

well, its not that simple, i mean all the bank charges, but then its not that hard or expensive either.

i dont know much about skye bank, tho
