Investment / Re: Is My Money Safe In Opay Account? by spicy007(f): 6:10pm On Mar 12, 2023
kayteajay111:
Good day house.
Please, I don't really trust Opay banking as they don't have physical banks or offices around the towns.
I was introduced to it by a friend last week, the way they work, daily interest rate and when making transaction on it as they don't deduct money like other banks.
I'm enjoying the system and I even transferred my money from other bank to my Opay account for daily interest and easy transfers including recharging of my phone.
But I'm still very afraid if my money is safe or not, because if my balance is taken away or I have any problem with the account, where will I go to complain?
I want old users and those who confide in using the mobile account operation to shield more light on it for me based on advantages and disadvantages of it.

I found this online. They have several OPay relationship centres. You can visit the closest one to you for confirmation and comfort. Ultimately nothing is fail proof, not even brick and mortar banks so the final decision is yours to make. I joined them 2 days ago when i felt comfortable enough after extensive research and consultation from my peers and senior colleagues in the finance industry. Hope this helps

Travel / Re: U.S. Non-immigrant Visas: We’re Listening by spicy007(f): 1:52pm On Jan 18, 2018
Hello @LAgos NIV

I traveled with my first US visa sometime in 2014. Before it expired, i applied for another one using Dropbox in August 2016, with a plan to travel
in 2017. I was granted a new 2 - year multiple entry visa. Now my visa is going to expire in August 2018 and i have not yet been able to use it due to so many activities i had going on - marriage, change of jobs, change of address and new projects i had to do. The plan is to travel for 3 weeks by June 30 (about 7 weeks before expiry), but it is not yet concrete.

Question 1: If i do not travel, will it hurt my chances of getting another visa?
Question 2: The US visa is on my expired passport, my renewed passport however still has my maiden name and that's valid till 2022. Will that be an issue at POE or on re-application?

Thank you

Guys, please, Nairaland is my last option (should have been my first port of call, now that I think about it).
I need to buy the Hasbro Taboo Card Game before 31 August (2 days from now)..
Been searching everywhere for it. I have been to Mega Plaza, Shoprite, Spar, Goodies, name it.
I have checked online at Jumia, Konga, mobofree, efritin.com, jiji.com,to no avail.
I have even gone inside Lagos Island market In search of this elusive game!
Please help, i'm located in Lagos.
Any pointers or interested sellers would be highly appreciated.
We have a retreat and i'm in charge of games.
Thank you and God bless.

Career / Re: Working With The Big4, Your Experience. by spicy007(f): 2:14pm On Jun 29, 2015
Mannylex:

KPMG , PWC, E$Y , Deloitte. They are the top 4 audit firms in the world.

Have no fear; Mannylex is here

Point of correction Mannylex, its actually EY not E&Y. I work there
Its all true about the crazy deadlines and the high expectations especially if you are employed in the Assurance service line and are already chartered.
But you will learn by force by fire and with all the pressure, you will learn how to be a true well grounded professional.
Granted, the pay is not as attractive as one might think, bu trust me, progression is guaranteed if you see a future there and if not, and when you are porting out, the name of your firm is always a fantastic leverage to getting a juicy pay with a juicier job title (e.g. Financial Controller, Finance Director, etc)
For all those just coming in, i wish you all the best...and get ready to work your butts off.

Music/Radio / Re: Chaz B Of Rhytm FM Is Dead by spicy007(f): 12:21pm On Nov 25, 2014
You know, Chaz B happens to be one of those people you never get to meet but who make strong and positive impact in your life.
i remember as far back as 2008, before i got my first ride, when Inspiration FM just started, Sharing Life Issues with Chaz B was one of the first programs that caught my attention. Then i used to hitch a ride with my boss and that program used to keep us company in Lagos traffic on the way home and we'll continue the discussion well after the program has ended and it would be the opening topic for the next morning in the office. I used to wonder how such a man could carry people's burdens on, encourage and pray for them and still carry on with normal life, even when he naturally had problems of his own.
From his program came Being Real with Aunt Landa and even when he moved to Rhythm FM, Sharing Life Issues still continued on Inspiration FM.
I first saw him at Inspiration Praise Jam in 2011 and i remember having the distinct impression that the man belonged on a pulpit not in a radio cubicle.
When he had the kidney transplant, there was overwhelming support from his audience when he came back. There was even a thanksgiving party held in his honour. That must have moved any man to tears. Unfortunately, i couldn't be a part of it but i was so glad he came out alive, considering that his wife was the donor and he had a 4 year old daughter.

Thank God for that man.
I am proud to say mine was one of the lives you touched.

You will be fondly rememberd by your taglines:
- Welcome to the City of Lah-Gos!
- Guard your heart will all diligence for out of it flows the issues of life.
- If each one would reach and each one would teach one, what a much better life this would be
- Show Love, Just Because!

I hear his Benevolence Baskets are still in place at Inspiration FM and people still drop items there for the less priviledged.
God bless you Chaz.

I've bought all sorts from clothes and shoes and kaftans to bouquet of flowers, toiletries, foodstuff....they even sell alrdy cooked African vegetables and stews like Edikaikong, afang, Ofada stew etc.
they sell frozen foods too like goatmeat, tripe, fish, shrimps etc.

they take 24hrs for delivery and use courier services like FedEx.
I know they are in Lagos for now.

they are tried and tested.

Romance / She's Still In Touch With All Her Exes by spicy007(f): 2:07pm On Apr 04, 2013
hi guys,

I have a male friend who's having issues with his fiancee who keeps in touch with her Exes...not one but all of them....about 5 in all.

he's not happy about it and has told her countless times but she keeps justifying why she has to keep in touch with them...e.g....business deals, networking, etc and she claims she has no feelings for them.

When she got tired of justifying and he was still adamant, she started hiding it from him...when he asks, she says she is no longer in touch with them. unknown to her, he was checking her phone and seeing all the chats...nothing incriminating but she 'lol' whenever they make advances to her...and continues chatting with them in other businesses.

My friend is furious with his fiance, he feels betrayed and said he can no longer trust her, hence he wants to end the relationship. The lady has come to her senses, sought adult advice and cut off all ties with the exes inclouding Unfriending them in FB, deleting their contacts, etc...and has been pleading with him since.

My friend is however skeptical and isn't keen on continuing the relationship. He is however still in love with her, but he's so hurt...he doesn't think he can trust her anymore. He is at a crossroad.

please advice sincerely.
P.S.: he was her first boyfriend when she was 18 but they split and got back 6 yrs later. They've been dating for about 3yrs and were supposed to get married in December.
