Like Aksat said, you really need a Laptop if you want to move from theoretical realm to the practical. As you know, Embedded systems design involves hardware and software. No software can be written, compiled and burned into a chip without a PC and no hardware is simulated or monitored via RS232 without a PC. if you dont have money for laptop, a Desktop computer pentium 4, 512mb ,60gig will do.

As to why embedded system designer needs hexadecimal. Hexadecimal is just a number representation. you can write your code using binary, octal or decimal and u can also mix various number system in a source code, it all depends on how well you understand it. hexadecimal is so common, maybe because so many computers make use of bus width, memory size etc in the order of 16. i.e 16bit,32bit,64bit etc

I get your point about the FK, but I followed his database design to make the suggestion but with your suggestion he has to redesign his table.

As for the trigger, a couple of months ago I wrote a code for an inventory system that had a sales and product table anytime a sale is registered the quantity in the product table reduces. I will put up the code for you tomorrow to see.

Boss, you can use trigger to manipulate different tables in a database. I find it easier, that said I know it's not the only way.

Hello,

I have a scratch card project. All other processes are set. I can generate the pins and export them into ms excel. But I need an application that will pick these unique pins from separate excel rows and print them on specific positions on paper. That is, the cards would already have been printed. Just to lay the pins on it uniquely. Thanks

You have to use time-series forecasting, since the stock-market fluctuations essentially behave as a time series depending on (daily, weekly, monthly or annual) seasonal trends (per industry or market/stock type). You should however be careful because sometimes rumors in the market can cause the time-series to behave unpredictably, rendering your projections useless.
