Celebrities / Asake, Seyi Vibez Dont Sound Alike-k-solo by splendid22(m): 10:17am On Aug 19, 2023
Popular music producer, K-Solo has opened up on why he has never been nominated by The Headies.
The beat maker made this known on popular podcast, ‘Conversations with Kenni’

He said:”Headies has never nominated me but they have nominated all the artistes I produced songs for.The same thing with Paul Play, Klever J, same with the late Kefee and Timaya. All my artistes have always gotten Headies nominations .They have all won.So what happened to the producer? I don’t care.I don’t leak people’s bottom.I have always believed in my job. This is the vibe that I give to my artistes that gives them the strong believe as well. Kefee was a gospel artiste, ‘Kokoro’ was the first gospel song that was being played in the clubs back to back. Headies is a business”.

He added that the drive back then for music producers was to take music to the next level, not to compete.
“When we started out, it was not just a competition, it was about taking our music to the next level. That is why somebody like Konga can be on tour in the UK right now”.

K-Solo also debunked the notion that Asake and Seyi Vibez sound alike.

“Seyi Vibez and Asake don’t sound alike.Because they have similar approach to music, people think they sound alike. Seyi adds more of Yoruba to his lyrics, why Asake blends them with English. The adages they add to their songs makes them similar. Their voice texture are different, their production is different.Asake does more of Amapiano, why Seyi Vibez flows on any kind of sound”.

Celebrities / See What Made Josh2funny Steal The Show On America's Got Talent by splendid22(m): 5:08pm On Aug 09, 2023
Josh2funny, popular Nigerian skit maker and comedian recently made a memorable appearance on episode 10 of America's Got Talent. While he didn't progress to the next round, his appearance on the show left a lasting impact and showcased valuable visibility lessons for aspiring entertainers and creators. Here are four key takeaways from Josh2funny's bold and unconventional performances:

1. Embrace Unconventional Approaches: Josh2funny's appearance on America's Got Talent emphasized the power of embracing unconventional approaches to stand out. Instead of following a traditional routine, he took the stage three times with wildly different personas – a fast reader, the fastest rapper in the world, and a bearded magician. This willingness to break away from norms captured the audience's attention and set him apart from other contestants. Normal is boring. Businesses offering similar products or services can easily get lost in the noise. Differentiation helps your brand rise above the clutter and attract attention. Attention is the currency of marketing.

Celebrities / It Would Be Unwise For Davido To Take Counsel Of Wole Soyinka – Reno Omokri by splendid22(m): 12:32pm On Jul 26, 2023
Social commentator, Reno Omokri has said it will be unwise for singer Davido to listen to an atheist like Professor Wole Soyinka who is advising him not to apologize to Muslims who are offended by a music video of one his signees.

The Entertainment Reporter recalls that Davido bowed to pressure and deleted the music video snippet after being accused of disrespecting Islam by posting the video showing people praying and dancing in front of a mosque. In spite of this, some Muslims are still demanding for an apology from the singer.

Rising to defend Davido, Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka in a statement released, accused former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El Rufai of making derogatory comments against Christians in the past but was never asked to apologise. He also noted that it wasn’t Davido’s music that lynched Deborah Yakubu, a second-year Christian college student who was killed by a mob of Muslim students in Sokoto last year over alleged blasphemy. He averred that he sees no basis for Davido to apologize to Muslims.

Reacting to Soyinka's comment, Reno via his Instagram page wrote

''It would be very unwise for Davido to take the counsel of an atheist like Professor Wole Soyinka, who is telling him he owes no apology to Muslims, over the video for the song jaye lo. This is a man who does not believe in God. How can he then know how people who believe in God feel?

Marketing is the lifeblood of any business. In order for a product or brand to thrive, it must be effectively promoted. Unfortunately, AY Makun’s latest film, ‘Almajiri,’ is facing difficulties at the Nigerian box office.

The movie made its debut in Nigerian cinemas on June 23, 2023, and according to the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), it only managed to earn ₦5,425,050 across 54 locations over the weekend. This is a significant decline considering AY’s reputation as the reigning king of the box office.

Comparatively, other 2023 releases such as ‘Domitilla: The Reboot’ opened with ₦10 million, and ‘The Kujus Again’ amassed ₦17 million in its first week. AY’s previous film, ‘Christmas in Miami’ (2021), earned a staggering ₦265,583,000 and remains one of the highest-grossing local films to date. Similarly, his past projects, ‘Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons’ (2018) and ‘Merry Men 2: Another Mission’ (2019), brought in ₦235,628,358 and ₦234,505,169, respectively.

Outspoken actress, Ruth Eze has stated that it is better to be a lesbian than to experience domestic violence.

The busty role interpreter made this known in a chat with The Sun.

Hear her: “This question reminds me of my late elder sister. She had experienced violence in her marriage and that’s what killed her. Even the Bimbo IVD’s story reminds me of her. It’s crazy how people take this marriage stuff, how people go through some deep crazy stuff with a man. It is better to be a lesbian than go through all these domestic violence with a man. You’d give a man your whole life? No, I can’t do that. Never! I’ve never gone through domestic violence and no man can make me go through that. If I’m dating you and I notice one toxic attitude, I’m out of the relationship. And I’ll start dating someone else in the next few weeks. That’s one thing I love Tiannah Empire for. Celebrities / How I Will Handle Man Who Can’t Satisfy Me In Bed- Yemi Alade by splendid22(m): 4:26pm On Apr 01, 2022
Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, has lamented over how some men who are blessed with well-endowed joysticks are incapable to use them to satisfy their partners in bed.
According to the ‘Johnny’ crooner, one of the saddest things to happen in a bedroom is a man fails to make his partner climax during sexual intercourse.
Alade made these comments while speaking as a discussant on a show titled ‘Lip Service Podcast’.
She added that while some men who are less-endowed are desirous of a sizeable manhood to make them do a good job in bed, others who are privileged to have it don’t utilize it to the maximum.

“You have to experience certain things to know how it feels like and in my case, I realized that this doesn’t work for me. It’s such a turn-off. Size matters sometimes but skill does because some people have it and don’t know how to use it and this is sad,” Yemi Alade cried.
When asked how she would address such a situation if she found herself in one, the singer said: “In addressing it I’m going to go like, I really do like you and I like the time we spend together. What do you think, should we make it more interesting? I feel we could do other things than you just being on top of me, try other interesting positions.”
