What was childhood like and how did it prepare you for your current career?
My childhood was really great. I spent my entire childhood with my parents and we normally travelled in and out of the capital Accra. This brings up lots of cherished memories. Christmas was a big deal for my family. We would normally invite our extended relatives to come celebrate and party with us. It was all fun and very educative. As a child I had the dream of becoming someone great and known all over the world so we would talk about this and reenact the lives of our idols. So I guess that’s when the journey began.

Were you body-shamed growing up?
Yes I was. I was called chubby and short, and I kind of was chubby. You can imagine all the names and teasing that I endured. It’s all good now though. These experiences shape who we are.

What is that one role you look forward to playing?
An adventurous role, God-willing. You know, anything can happen with a role like that. It’ll be a great experience for me to discover alongside my fans what I can do with such a role.


What factors do you look out for before picking up a sensual role?
I prefer roles that fit my personality. But I don’t want to play sensual roles for just the sake of it. If it is up to me, I would want these roles to be more educative, more informative. It will take good directing and camera work to turn a role like that into something special.

What is the weirdest message you have ever gotten from fans?
My inbox have some of the weirdest messages! I cannot even pick one that tops all. But I generally find unsolicited pictures of manhood weird. I mean why? How do they even think it would work? You send me your manhood picture and I reply and chase you? I don’t get it.

Controversial Ghana based Ghanaian actress, Princess Shyngle as recounted how her sex tape got into the hands of blackmailers, who allegedly pretended to be movie producers.

There is this believe that curvy women are better in bed than slim women .What do you think about that?

Embattled Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Yinka Ayefele Music House, Yinka Ayefele has explained why he and his team decided to reconcile with Governor Abiola Ajimobi led Oyo State Government after the controversial demolition of his property on Sunday.

He however insisted that  the demolished building did not contravene any building plan/law as made to believe.

In his words: “I was at the meeting  and it was agreed that the State Government should set up a committee to look into the issue. We presented our papers and they said we don’t have the C of O, we gave them and they confirmed that the C of O was genuine. They said we don’t have the approved plan for the building, we gave them the approved plan which was approved since 2008.

All the allegations were resolved during the meeting and they confirmed it themselves.

Ajiboye also hinted that the state government expressed willingness to compensate the company and also advised that they present another building plan.

“When that was resolved, they said we should come up with a new building plan that they would approve and they are going to compensate us.

I was the one that prostrated with  Isaac Brown and the  younger brother of the chairman .The governor  was  talking to me was actually lashing at me  that I was behind everything , that I was the one abusing him in the papers and sending press releases.

As an elderly person we had to prostrate and beg him. We didn’t go there to beg them. The meeting was brokered by a leading gubernatorial aspirant in the state.”

Embattled Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Yinka Ayefele Music House, Yinka Ayefele has explained why his Music House was demolished by the Governor Abiola Ajimobi led Oyo State Government.

The ace musician speaking on Monday in an exclusive interview with TNG through his manager, David Ajiboye said the demolished building did not contravene any building plan/law as made to believe.
Ajiboye insisted that the demolition was an act of witch hunt for not supporting the government.
Recall that the demolished building houses Ayefele’s Fresh FM, Studio and other business outfits. It is valued at N800m. It was partially bulldozed on Sunday morning.


Nothing has changed, we are still broadcasting

Asked how the demolition has affected operations of the station, Ajiboye said the station was still broadcasting though from a different location.
“Fresh FM is on air. They demolished the building and we relocated our studio to another place.
This radio station is sophisticated and all our presenters can present from anywhere in the world. During the US elections, we were live in the US and we broadcast live from the US. We can broadcast anywhere without necessarily converging in a particular place.”

Ajiboye further clarified that the chairman of the station, Yinka Ayefele was taking the demolition easy. He said the demolition was strictly political and not because of ignoring warnings or breaking any law as government made people to believe.
“He is taking it very easy. He is not bothered about it because we know the state government is only witch-hunting us. It is political; we know if we had committed any offence, the NBC would have sanctioned us. We have not committed any offence.
They want us to change some of our programmes and some of our analysts. We told the commissioner that this is an independent radio station and you can’t do that. If we run afoul of the broadcasting code, the NBC would have sanctioned us. They can only control a state government owned station, not Fresh FM”.

What are the challenges of being a filmmaker?

Being a filmmaker isn’t easy. If you haven’t done it before, you cannot know how challenging it is. From preparation to production and then post-production, the challenges are enormous.I had a challenge with some of my colleagues in my first movie production. Some of my colleagues whom I paid didn’t show up. The ones who showed up didn’t finish my shoot. They demanded for extra pay because we didn’t finish the shoot as at the stipulated time.Some old filmmakers wanted to frustrate me even after entrusting them with my project.


Can you cope in a sexless relationship?

Yes I can, as long as my partner does the needful. Sex is not food , so I can even stay in for a year or more as long as the partner is doing the needful I wouldn't even dare to look outside or be distracted by any man.

Most times when she brought scripts home, I was always reading the other part for her. Fortunately there was a day she was went for audition somewhere in Surulere, there was supposed to be a role for a young boy in the sitcom, but the boy did not show up and I was the only kid there.


I read the dialogue, they loved what I read .That was how I started acting. Eventually my mum didn’t get a role. That was how I got into the industry. Apart from the fact that I was lucky that day, I have always had flair for acting.

What is the name of the first movie you featured in?



I started with a soap-opera called ‘Living next to you’; I featured in the soap-opera alongside Tina Mba, Joe Adegwa and others. The first movie I ever acted is called ‘Iya Simbi’







How were you able to handle stardom at a tender age?



It wasn’t easy for me to handle stardom at a very tender age. My mum was my manager so it was very easy for me to walk on the street and people not touch me. Though there were harassment, but not sexual. I have always been a very simple and down to earth person since I was very young.



My mum was always there so it was easy to combine a lot of things .Then stardom didn’t get into my head, it hasn’t gotten into my head till now. Even as young as I was in school, a lot of people saw me as a star and people wanted to be my friend.

You said in an interview that you might cheat on a man who is not good in bed. Do you still hold on to that opinion?
Yes I did. Sex is an integral part of a relationship or marriage, hence my stand on whether I will cheat or not. I wouldn’t marry someone who isn’t sexually fit in bed.
