The supremacy battle between power house music divas, Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade has gotten messier than expected.

Earlier in the week, Nigerian pop star, Wizkid broke the internet with the release of an official music video for his new song titled ‘Fever’. In the video, he featured Tiwa Savage who came in as a vixen and plays the role of Wizkid’s love interest.

Just like ‘Fever’, ‘Crazy love’ has a similar theme with Yemi crying out in the visuals over the love she has for Flavour. From lustful stares, romantic dance moves and baring of cleavage, Yemi’s motive was to take the attention of Tiwa and Wizkid.

Kudos, knocks trail Felabration 2018
It was a mixed bag of kudos and knocks as fans of late Afrobeat music maestro, Fela Kuti gathered at New Afrika Shrine to mark the 80th posthumous birthday of afro-beat maestro.
The weeklong music fiesta finally ended on Sunday, 21st of October 2018 with the fans soaked in the intensity of not just good music, but also the atmosphere no thanks to marijuana and cigarette smoke that saturated the air and skoochies that flowed freely at the concert .
The sweet and sour memories will remain indelible in the minds of the ‘worshippers’ gathered at the music ‘sanctuary’.
The Afrika Shrine which is usually at the peak of its life during Felabration became electrified on Sunday as the congregrants wanted to partake in the grand finale.
In the dead of that Sunday night, the well-lit premises of the shrine was crowded by fun seekers who wanted to catch a glimpse of what was happening inside the hallowed entertainment arena.
Svelte humour merchant, Omo Baba was the sole host of the week long concert. It was a show of fun and razzmatazz spiced with exciting music performances Femi Kuti, Seun Kuti, Pasuma, Omawumi, Adekunle Gold, Daddy Showkey, Oritsefemi, Davido, Simi, Wande Coal, Doyinsola, Timaya and others.

What was childhood like and how did it prepare you for your current career?
My childhood was fair. I said fair because I grew up in a remote and decent community. I didn’t have everything I wanted as a child. I made do with whatever my parents could afford at the time, ranging from toys, being able to attend different schools and others.
But in all I had great parents who have so much love for their kids. They were ready to give us their best. I can recall that drama is something that came naturally to me as a child. I was a drama queen as a little girl. In fact at a point, I wanted so much to be a fine artist, but I couldn’t do well in that field, however dramatic art chose me. I am grateful to God for the gift. I am also grateful to my father for being such an awesome fan right from my Nursery school days. I am grateful to him, for helping me find my feet in Nollywood. My father is a major support system in my career.

What is that one role you look forward to playing?
I look forward to playing the role of a stark raving mad woman

You recently revealed that your boyfriend made you decide to shed some weight. What made you reveal that?
Nothing much. People wanted to know the push behind my weight loss and I had to tell them who was behind it.

Are you satisfied with how far you have come in Nollywood?
I am satisfied but not quiet satiated. I am still a work in progress.

Depression has no apparent cause, it is a mood disorder characterized by persistently low mood and a feeling of sadness and loss of interest, it is a persistent problem, not a passing one according to Markus MacGill.

“It is a mental health disorder characterized by persistently depressed mood or loss of interest in daily activities causing significant impairment in daily life.”

According to the World Health Organization, depression is the leading cause of disability in the world; the number of people suffering from depression and/or anxiety disorders have increased by almost 50 per cent, from 416 million in 1990 to 615 million in 2013, with chances of an annual increase.


Mental and emotional health are the single biggest predictors of individual happiness. However, 3 in every 10 Nigerians reportedly experience depressive symptoms, according to the National Depression Report.

The report, which is the first nationwide study of happiness and depression, contains results from the nation-wide happiness and depression survey conducted across all the 36 states in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), internal surveys from The Joy Congress, and up-to-date data on the state of the depression crisis in Nigeria.


In the case of Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar, she revealed that she was depressed for seven months over a failed relationship. According to the sexy actress, after her relationship collapsed, she didn't handle it well, thereby leading to her having sleepless nights and constant migraine. She also revealed that at some point she couldn't sleep for about two weeks. The depression got so bad that she had to be hospitalised.
