The year was 2015. I was commissioned to have an interview with the innovative serial entrepreneur, Toyin Lawani. That bright Saturday afternoon I had high expectations about the light skinned damsel behind the Tiannah’s Place Empire. When I got into her facility that houses over 20 businesses Toyin engages in, I couldn’t but be marveled at her drive and knack for creating value.

Following the announcement made by the founder and leader of the Commonwealth Of Zion Assembly(COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo, that he would be ”taking a leave of absence from the pulpit of the church, gospel artiste Frank Edwards has finally expressed his opinion.

Following the demand from Nigerians for Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo to step down from the pulpit, as a result of a recent interview in which Busola Dakolo – a photographer and wife of talented musician, Timi Dakolo, said the pastor had raped her, the Pastor has decided to step down temporarily.

I can’t go nude in a movie, but I can portray nudity. Nude scenes can be very controversial but also can be used in the development of a film character and can be justified as being part of a story which I think is acceptable. It depends on the story line and these scenes are portrayed with good camera angles and tricks, with less visibility of the under garments and the body too

Beautiful ebony-faced actress and filmmaker, Yetunde Bakare has lamented over the rate at which budding actors produce movies.

In a recent chat with TheNewsGuru, Bakare who recently ventured into lingerie business expressed her dismay over the rate at which new talents venture into movie production without learning the ropes.

Reacting to a statement made by veteran actor, Dele Odule about young actors messing up Nollywood, she said: ”I honestly don't understand what he meant by using the word 'messing up'. Messing up in what way? Is it because they refuse to go through the old process of joining a caucus and going for rehearsals, rather they jump into movie production as long as they have the funds to sponsor themselves. I agree with Uncle Dele Odule If that is what he meant.

The rate at which upcoming actors produce movies is alarming and totally out of proportion. I am not against promoting yourself as a young artiste, but it should be done properly”, she whined .

I have always wanted to be a rapper. I really don’t have an influence when it comes to rap. However I love to listen to M.I, Eva and Vector. My brothers love music especially the eldest .While growing up, he listened to a lot of Nas ,Biggie ,2pac and all. I didn’t even realize I was being influenced .I also love pen and paper ,I love to write . I started with writing poems and articles.





Being tempted to give up

Yes I wanted to give up on music when I was in school because it was quite stressful. There were times I had test same day I had a show. There were times I had to think of how to promote a song with little or no funds .I studied in Ghana so at first building my fan base was hard . Now, I have a lot of fan base in Ghana. My song even topped the charts in some Ghanaian radio stations which got me more interviews.

On being sexy

Yes I consider myself as a sexy woman. I am beautiful both within and on the outside. I like it when a guy compliments or is attracted to my intelligence I’ll know it’s beyond the physical .Though the physical compliment is a plus.
