yimiton: From the way you're detailed, you're obviously still very hurt.
What happend here Shangy is that she has always had the other guy on her heart, you were just a spare tyre, in case things don't work out with the other guy, she knew you'd always be there for her. Then, things worked out and she didn't need you anymore. It's unfortunate but that's how it is. You'll have to move on with your life, you're definitely not her number one choice, even if she eventually comes back to you, it's simply because she couldn't get her dream man. Open up your heart and love again. Don't use her as a criteria when you go into your next relationship and most importantly, learn from this experience but don't let it determin your relationship with other women. Do take care, you've got a good heart, don't sell it off because it has been broken. Take care and Tread with wisdom. Wisdom talking here! Love you baby. |

The koko is the 3 points which we are able to earn. I think Malouda has given us best valu for his signing so far this season. We are expecting more from others.

Romance › Study: Women Prefer 'bulldog-faced' Men by spora(op): 6:08pm On Aug 24, 2007 |
http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20070823/sc_livescience/studychickmagnetstodaylooklikecavemenGuys with bulldog-like faces have been chick magnets throughout human evolutionary history.
A recent study of the skulls of human ancestors and modern humans finds that women, and thereby, evolution, selected for males with relatively short upper faces. The region between the brow and the upper-lip is scrunched proportionately to the overall size of their heads.
Among the men who fit the bill: Will Smith and Brad Pitt.
In a past study, researchers found a similar facial pattern in chimpanzees, with males having relatively shorter and broader faces compared with females, controlling for body size.
Men with "mini mugs" might have been most attractive to the opposite sex and thus most likely to attract mates for reproduction, passing along the striking features to the next generation and so forth, said lead study author Eleanor Weston, a paleontologist at the Natural History Museum in London.
"The evolution of facial appearance is central to understanding what makes men and women attractive to each other," Weston said. "We have found the distance between the lip and brow was probably immensely important to what made us attractive in the past, as it does now."
Whereas past studies have suggested facial symmetry and facial masculinity play roles in this game of desire, none have provided evidence of an evolutionary shaping of male and female faces.
"I think it's a very nice approach," said Randy Thornhill, an evolutionary psychologist at the University of New Mexico, referring to the study. Though not involved in it, Thornhill agrees with the finding that certain facial features evolved due to sexual selection.
Facial coordinates The researchers calculated certain facial coordinates on 68 males and 53 female skulls from a contemporary native southern Africa population ranging in age from infant to 30 years old. Measurements included distances between the point between the eye brows and upper lip and from cheekbone to cheekbone.
Weston and her colleagues also examined facial data from fossil hominin skulls dating back to 2.6 million years ago, unearthed in Kenyan deposits as part of the Koobi Fora Research Project IV. These skulls represented five species: Homo erectus, Homo ergaster, Paranthropus boisei, Australopithecus africanus and Paranthropus robustus. These facial coordinates were then compared with the contemporary coordinates.
In spite of their bulkier bodies (about 15 percent more massive than women's bodies), and similarly broader faces, men have upper faces similar in height to women's faces, the scientists found. But compared with the rest of the head, a guy's mid-face is compressed. The differences held throughout human history.
A simple ratio of upper face length to broadness could serve as a proxy for facial attractiveness, the scientists say in a report on their research published in the online journal PLoS ONE.
Masculine appeal The scientists are not certain why today's distinctive male face and its proportions evolved.
"A shorter upper face does serve to exaggerate the size of other face features such as the flare of the cheeks and the size of the jaw, but this might not be why it developed," Weston told LiveScience. "Rather the shorter [and] broader the male face the more ‘masculine’ and the less ‘feminine'—based on biological face changes that take place during growth and development—the individual becomes," she said.
Also, this facial development was accompanied by a shrinking of guys' canine teeth, so men appeared less threatening to competitors, yet attractive to mates.
While the scientists who authored the current study examined skulls and did not specifically study how modern faces fit the findings, the Natural History Museum press officers applied Weston's findings to a "quick and dirty" survey of photos of celebrities.
They came up with a list of stars with masculine faces, listing them from most to least masculine according to facial dimensions: Will Smith, Peter Andre, Justin Timberlake, Thierry Henry, Brad Pitt, David Beckham, Johnny Depp and Kanye West. Ladies, over to you.

Sports › Heinze Loses Arbitration Appeal. Can't Join Liverpool by spora(op): 2:20pm On Aug 21, 2007 |
http://goal.com/en-us/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=389448It has been confirmed that Manchester United full-back Gabriel Heinze has lost his appeal at the FA and will not join Liverpool this season. The news marks the end of Heinze’s hopes of joining Liverpool this summer and poses the Argentina several quandaries.
The situation began in July when United told Heinze that he was free to leave the club to anyone matching the £6.8million valuation.
The player had become disillusioned with life at Old Trafford after being usurped as starting left-back by Patrice Evra and was desperate to find first-team football.
Liverpool quickly emerged as the front-runners in the race to sign Heinze who had also attracted muted interest from Juventus, however United boss Alex Ferguson insisted that Heinze would not join Liverpool or any of the club’s close rivals.
The turnaround infuriated Heinze who had learnt that Liverpool had met the valuation, quickly prompting the 29-year-old to seek legal action to force through a move to Anfield.
Having liaised with Liverpool lawyers, it was decided that the case be taken to the Football Association who would govern whether United were in their rights to refuse a transfer.
The decision by the arbitration panel confirms that Heinze will not be transferred to Liverpool. http://www.myfootballnews.co.uk/news_jump.html?player_id=981&story=748013Gabriel Heinze has lost his bid to force Manchester United to sell him to Liverpool.
The Argentina defender had gone to a Premier League panel claiming United had written a letter allowing him to leave if another club offered a fee of £6.8million.
The panel today dismissed Heinze's case and backed United, who maintained they made it clear to the 29-year-old both orally and in writing that he would not be permitted to join one of their title rivals.
It now appears that if Heinze is intent on leaving the club he will have to move abroad.
The Premier League said in a statement: "The hearing concluded that nature and intention of the disputed 13 June 2007 letter, especially when taken in context of verbal discussions and Manchester United FC's transfer policy, was unambiguous in that it envisages only an international transfer.
"Furthermore the hearing finds the letter constitutes an 'agreement to agree', and did not create an obligation or binding agreement for the club to transfer the player to any particular club.
"In other words the letter is evidence of an intention to negotiate, both between the parties and with potential buying clubs, and not evidence of any intention to create legal relations."
Heinze does have the right to appeal to the Premier League appeals committee, which is made up of an independent, legally-qualified chairman, a member of the Premier League panel and a PFA appointee.
The decision has delighted United, who were represented by both manager Sir Alex Ferguson and chief executive David Gill at the hearing in London.

Travel › Describe Your First Trip By Air by spora(op): 10:26am On Aug 09, 2007 |
I was on my way from Kano aboard Arik Air's CRJ900 Jet on Aug. 07 2007 when we suddenly encountered a mild air turbulence some 200km to MMA. There were some boys onboard apparently travelling by air for the first time. Did I pity them? That was an understatement. Some were shouting, wavering and one was actually throwing up. He was rushed to the convenience. I could not but remember my first time in the air. Everything had been ok until I decided to ease myself. I had entered the convenience only observe that the place was shaking as if we were about to crash. What did I do? Your guess is as good as mine. I "picked" race. The useless pee can wait for all I care. Since this experience, I have continued to wonder why somebody will take up an appointment as air hostess. Many years after, I have not changed this impression. Anytime I am on air, I just look at them with pity. No amount of money can make me take up the appointment. The truth is that I don’t envy air hostesses. Nairalanders, how was your first time in the air. |
Career › Re: ICAN Has Rejected Me Again by spora(m): 3:02pm On Aug 01, 2007 |
I have always suspected there is something one does not know about ICAN.
It is when you are sure, you will pass that they come out with their abracadabra. My neighbour was on the exam for about 3 years. The last time he did it, he did not attended any tuition centre, neither did he read for the exam. As a matter of time he never prepared for the exam.
He just registered and was waiting for the exam day. Lo and behold, the result came out and he CAN. He himself confessed that he could not understood how he made it.
I will encourage the poster not to relent as one day ICAN will "let him go"
One day, one day, the monopoly will be broken. One thing I am sure of is, by the time people wake up and embrace ACCA, ICAN will know that there is a need to learn out to manage success. |
