Gptech: Global rom phones are Chinese version phones whose roms have been replaced with global roms This is only possible if the bootloader is unlocked. On the other hand, Global version phones have locked bootloader with global rom pre installed. Modified : if you still have the carton of your phone, we can tell if it's unlocked or not. If the carton has some Chinese characters, then it's likely unlocked because it means you phone is global rom Yes, it has Chinese written all over the carton mostly on the back and where you have Note 4x on the sides. |

I am really trying to not use the test point option... Thanks for all your replies |

I read somewhere on this thread that most xiaomi global rom phones shipped on AE come with unlocked bootloaders since they are most likely flashed with global roms. Please who can confirm if this is the case? Don't know if my bootloader is unlocked and I can't seem to find a straightforward process online. |

cc Gptech GrandMufti Genius43.... I got this image, which is the correct one am downloading. Recovery/System or Fastboot/MI flash?
Gptech, still waiting for steps to flash through test points. Thanks!

Gptech: Is the bootloader unlocked? Device is soft bricked. Try power button + volume up when you on Fastboot mode to enter recovery and see if you can do a factory reset from there. If that doesn't work and bootloader is unlocked, you'll need to download the Fastboot rom and flash with mi flash tool with pc. If bootloader is locked, you'll need to flash the Fastboot rom with test points. Thank you... I don't think my bootloader is unlocked or at least I don't know how to check its status and don't think that will be possible now that my phone can't come up. To the second option, how do I flash fastboot rom with test points? Thanks again... |

GrandMufti: Since you don't care about losing your files, flashing is the only way now. Download mi flash tool and fastboot rom. Thanks, will any version of mi flash tool work? Also, any specific link to download the fastboot rom? |

Hargbo: The same thing happened to my Redmi note 5a prime back then when it fell inside water.. I allowed the battery to drain itself when it get stuck on the logon logo even though it took three days for the battery to drain out. After this I charged it and it got stuck again on the same screen, I pressed and hold the power button for several minutes before it reboots back to be a normal phone...
Maybe some of the Oga's in the house can help you out Thanks for your effort bro, I appreciate... |

Please guys, my Redmi Note 4x has refused to go into recovery mode (Volume Up + Power Button) for over 3 days now. It just stops at the MI logo and refuses to proceed or shut down. However, it goes into Fastboot Mode (Volume down + Power Button) when I try that option. I need to restore this phone back to factory settings even if it means losing every data in it since I have tried to recover the data without success. Any help and guidance will be very much appreciated. Thanks and good morning lovelies...

bamac: It get shipped to Jumia, then from Jumia to the owner of item in order. Okay, that's cool then. Thanks for your responses |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Sprintx24(m): 8:41pm On Apr 30, 2020 |
bamac: Why not!
For Jumia global order, it is immediate payment and you will be charged #1200 for custom fee before local shipping fee which is not fixed but location dependant. Your item(s) gets delivered within 15-21 days from the day of order.
Note that no warranty most times on global item unlike local ones. However, 7 days Jumia warranty still covers if anything happens to your order which isn't your fault.
For fashion items, if picture of what you ordered is same as what is delivered you might not be able to redurn.
And of course, I am always available for your orders as I can make it issue free from beginning to the end with no extra charges. Once an order gets shipped on Jumia Global, does the seller take delivery before sending it to you through jumia or gets shipped directly to Jumia who now make the delivery to you? How does it really work? |

Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Sprintx24(m): 11:43am On Apr 30, 2020 |
seunfly: I'm concern about the delay but I'm more concerned about the cancelling of my order under the pretex of exchange rate, i v ordered before exchange rate escalated to this level and i know how many juicy deals i v missed since this order, it will be very unfair if after a month jumia calls to inform me they have cancelled the order. Where would i starts from when everything has increased in price, even the phone i ordered for has increased by around 30k and above on aliexpress due to exchange rate. I really don't think they will cancel an order that has been shipped. There is delay for obvious reasons but canceling the order at this point might be a slim possibility. However, the possibility of cancelation lies with the seller if he or she takes delivery of the item before proceeding to ship to you through jumia (Really don't know how it works though). Am sure Jumia has rules in place to guide against situations where the seller try to play a fast one by hoarding goods and claiming one reason or the other as to why they can't ship. cc Bamac said something about a deal only getting completely sealed when it has been shipped, maybe he can say something about this. |

joudini: Confirmation is what closes a sale. It is the classic "offer and acceptance" element of a valid contract.
Once a seller offers a product for sale, and receives an order and payment from a buyer, they are under liability to ensure that buyer gets their product.
Of course, unforeseen circumstances like sudden price change, warehouse fire, shipping accident etc occurs but it is not your business. Your product will be delivered to you or you may be given the option of refund with a perk of product voucher. It is your liberty to choose.
If you are a seller on ebay or amazon, and you accept an order but later tell the buyer that you can't ship because the price increased. Let the buyer open dispute and you will see. That's a system that works.
Let me ask this rhetorical question- if after you ordered a product and paid, the price of that product reduces on that seller's page, are they obligated to refund your money or change? NO.
The prevalence of illegality does not grant it validity. Unfortunately, in an insane clime like Nigeria, we start counting the alphabet from Z to A. We do ours differently and also seem to be all knowing. Like someone somewhere on this forum said, "Wetin Nairobi no go see for Bank of Spain". |

genius43: But they don't have exactly the specs so it will surely pull ahead. Specs is not just processor, camera is there, refresh rate is there too as well as charging. The Realme 6 Pro should be compared with the Pro Max and it still edges it out slightly because of refresh rate which Xiaomi somehow don't so much fancy for now. You are right... Overall specs on the Realme 6 pro is better.... Was considering the device seriously but I somehow wasn't sure if I'd get the support needed if the need comes up plus I have grown to be a MI lover. . Most of these little differences in processor performance will not really matter to the average users like us. I am more than certain I will be getting a monster in the shape of the 9s. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Sprintx24(m): 1:22pm On Apr 28, 2020 |
atheistandproud: Which One is the Better Processor? If raw CPU performance and gaming is a priority then the lower-priced Realme 6 with the Helio G90T will be a better choice. But if someone is looking for overall better performance with better efficiency, better connectivity, better support along with somewhat similar CPU and gaming performance then Realme 6 Pro is the device to get. The only reason why G90T could be preferred over the Snapdragon 720G is better gaming performance.
Copied The realme 6 pro uses the same SD 720G as found on the 9s but I think its optimization is much better than the 9s. I was looking at both devices on Gsmarena yesterday and popular opinion places it above the 9s even in overall specs. |

Gptech: What about power button and volume up? You can also remove the back cover of the phone and remove the battery connector, put back the battery connector and power up the phone. You can check YouTube for that. I have done this as well, phone doesn't boot to home screen. Now, I don't even know what to do. |

Gptech: Hold power button for as long as possible to turn it off. I have done that but when I try to reboot it, it comes back to the same window and refuses to go beyond that boot window and into the home screen... Still the same problem all over again |
