Christianity EtcRe: I dreamt sleeping with my mum by SPTruth: 8:13am On May 01, 2022
Youngerikan:
I don't know the meaning of the dream
they are called familiar spirits. They take the faces of your loved ones, friends, celebrities or just random people you know to use it against you in dreams. It could be sex, fighting or to give you food in the dream etc.
As for the dream pray against it, declare that whatever was the intention of the Spirit will never come to pass. At times they do it at the end/beginning of a week or month so as to steal the blessings and favours of that week/month. Just fast and pray against it. Break the legal grounds the spirit used to attack and pray that whatever was the reason won't happen.

If you are not born-again, please do and take your Salvation seriously. Not because of the dream, but because your Soul is precious to Jesus. He is at the door of your heart waiting. If you open , He will enter.
Christianity EtcRe: 8 Reasons Why I Don't Like Born-again Christians by SPTruth: 8:04am On May 01, 2022
You don't need to like them, infact the fact that you don't like them is a fulfillment of the prophecy of Jesus which says, John 15:18-25
18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20 Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’[a] If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. 21 They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 Whoever hates me hates my Father as well. 24 If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. 25 But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated me without reason.’[b]

However, Jesus clearly stated unless one is born again he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. John 3:5.

(Born Again in my post means genuine born-again of Water and Spirit) not the ones that dress Holy because of their denomination but don't act Holy. P.S those ones are not born-again but something else.
Christianity EtcHas The Prophecy Of "7 Women Will Hold Unto One Man" In Isaiah 4 Been Fulfilled? by SPTruth(op): 7:55am On May 01, 2022
The prophecy of Isaiah seems to be very popular among Nigerians, and even so for the wrong reasons. The famous prophecy has long been fulfilled in 587BC, and we are to discuss it. However, let's start with the historical background.

Where did the problem start?
Isreal and Judah sinned greatly against God. When God delivered Isreal from the Egyptians, they made a convenant to worship only Him else they will suffer wars, famine, curses and diseases.(Deut 11:24-26) Generations came after Generations and there arose new generations and Kings that were Idolatrous (worshipping anything they could carve up with their hands) and committing all kinds of sins.

God recorded their sins saying through Isaiah:
Isaiah 1:21-23
[21]How the faithful city has become an [idolatrous] harlot, she who was full of justice! Uprightness and right standing with God [once] lodged in her–but now murderers.
[22]Your silver has become dross, your wine is mixed with water.
[23]Your princes are rebels and companions of thieves; everyone loves bribes and runs after compensation and rewards. They judge not for the fatherless nor defend them, neither does the cause of the widow come to them [for they delay or turn a deaf ear].

Judgement was declared upon the men of Isreal
Isaiah 3:25-26
[25]Your men shall fall by the sword, and your mighty men in battle.
[26]And [Jerusalem's] gates shall lament and mourn [as those who wail for the dead]; and she, being ruined and desolate, shall sit upon the ground.

How did the women get involved?
The Isrealite women those days were proud, flirtatious, and placed their trust on gold, expensive ornaments etc.
Isaiah 3:16
[16]Moreover, the Lord said, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty and walk with outstretched necks and with undisciplined (flirtatious and alluring) eyes, tripping along with mincing and affected gait, and making a tinkling noise with [the anklets on] their feet

God's judgement was passed on the women
Isaiah 3:17,24
[17]Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the heads of the daughters of Zion [making them bald], and the Lord will cause them to be [taken as captives and to suffer the indignity of being] stripped naked.
[24]And it shall come to pass that instead of the sweet odor of spices there shall be the stench of rottenness; and instead of a girdle, a rope; and instead of well-set hair, baldness; and instead of a rich robe, a girding of sackcloth; and searing [of captives by the scorching heat] instead of beauty.

And the worst of the punishment is:

In those days it was a shameful thing for a woman to be unmarried and worse childless. And, almost an abomination for a woman to be so "shameless" to propose to a man, that was why God cursed them saying,

Isaiah 4:1
[1]AND IN that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread and provide our own apparel; only let us be called by your name to take away our reproach [of being unmarried].

Was the prophecy fulfilled?
Yes, in 587BC. In the days of King Zedekiah of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar invaded Judah and laid Jerusalem desolate.(2 King 25) Most of the men were killed, the few skilled men were taken to Babylonia as captives, many of the captives were castrated e.g Daniel. Only few men who were the poorest of the poor were left in Jerusalem. It was the culture those days for men to provide for women, but the men were too poor to take care of even themselves. So, women offered to take of themselves because they were desperate to marry the few Isrealite men left, especially one of their clan.

Did this message bless you? Feel free to discuss in the comment section. May the Good God help us all to be faithful to Him.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Sex Videos Would Lead Many Souls To Hell by SPTruth: 9:20am On Apr 24, 2022
Matthew 6:22-23,
“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

Watching a sex video will leave that sex scene almost permanently in your memory. When you want to pray, the picture will pop up, when you are in church the picture will pop up in your memory. That's how the devil will keep popping up the scenes in the video to keep you feeling dirty and in doubt if God will answer your prayers. You also won't believe the number of young men who have started desiring little girls just because of that one video!!!

FatherOfJesus:
this is specifically your opinion. It doesn't mean it's true.

All churches believe in the Bible, but you only listed those you think believe in the Bible the way you feel it's right
It is one thing to believe in the Bible and another to believe in the Spirit that inspired the Bible. The Bible is a Lock, it can only be truly studied and understood with the right key the HOLY SPIRIT. Any other key you are using will lead to wrong interpretation. Even prostitutes, homosexuals, muslims, traditionalists twist the Bible to their favor, claiming it supports their views. Many churches out there only claim to believe in the Bible. But when you show them in plain white and black that what they are doing is unscriptural, they will refuse to repent and still hold true with their "church traditions ". Because their words are far from what is in their hearts. Many Churches don't take the Word of God as Supreme. Same way, Jesus said, If you love Me, obey me, yet many of us keep shouting, I love Jesus and moving from one sexual partner to the other.
Christianity EtcRe: " Go To A Bible-Believing Church" ...What Does It Mean?? by SPTruth: 8:57am On Apr 24, 2022
Not every church gathering is a "true church". A true church can be likened to the new Jerusalem. There are some churches that are epitomes of babylon, even the little salvation that you are managing they will snatch it from you and replace it with greed, worldliness and lust. A Bible-believing Church is one that places the Word of God above every other thing(history, tradition, trend etc). The best I have seen so far in Nigeria are RCN, Koinonia, Fortress Ministry, Lord of Hosts Harvests, Fire Nation . The ones I will rate second best are MFM, Deeper Life, Redeem, Living Faith(I rated them second best because I can't vouch for all their doctrines 100%). However, there are many other Bible-believing churches, many are small and not popular. A Bible-believing Church can really help you grow in your Faith, prayers and Word-Life. If you are in need of one, take it to God in prayers to direct you to one. God bless you.
Christianity EtcRe: 3 Lessons To Learn From The Life Of Judas Iscariot by SPTruth(op): 11:00am On Apr 17, 2022
Happy Easter
Christianity Etc3 Lessons To Learn From The Life Of Judas Iscariot by SPTruth(op): 7:27am On Apr 15, 2022
1. Judas did not believe Jesus would die.

Like many of the disciples, he thought He would be crowned King of the Jews during their time.
Many times the jews had tried to seize Jesus, and Judas watched how Jesus disappeared from their midst.(Luke 4:30, John 10:39). Judas actually felt it will be business as usual, and Jesus will be alright. His intention was to cash in on Jesus' ability to move out of danger zones, to enrich himself, not knowing he was fulfilling prophecy.
That was why he returned the money when he noticed it was getting really serious and Jesus was about to be condemned to death.
Same way, many of us keep misusing the Gift of Grace to continue commiting sin? You might say, everyone in this office collects bribe, let me go and collect mine, and your case might be the next on EFCC's table.

2. Intentional sin only gives birth to more sins.

Obstinacy in sin is commiting a sin when you know it is a sin over and over again. God cannot be mocked, whatever you sow, you shall reap. Judas was stealing from Jesus's purse. From stealing, grew great greed, one that made him feel he could sell Jesus out for gain.
What is that sin you keep on commiting everything? For a good number of us it is sexual immorality, which leads to lies, prostitution, abortion and in some cases murder. Whatever sin, you are commiting in obstinacy, today is a great day to repent and seek forgiveness from God. No matter the pleasure derived from sin, it is nothing compared with the consequences of been seperated from God.

3. Was Judas predestined to betray Jesus?

No, Judas was not predestined to betray Jesus. The prophecy said, in Matt 26:23-24, Jesus answered, "One who dips his bread in the dish with me will betray me.
The Son of Man will die as the Scriptures say he will, but how terrible for that man who will betray the Son of Man! It would have been better for that man if he had never been born!" . No name was given, it was like an open cheque. The work of the devil was to choose among the twelve, he who would be best fit for the job. Imagine if you are about to compete in a formula 1 race, and you were taken to a garage to choose the car you would use, there's a Beetle, a Volkswagen, a Toyota corolla and a Ferrari, you will most likely choose the Ferrari because you feel it will perform better than the rest with less effort.

So, it was for the devil. Judas was already a thief, so influencing him to betray his Lord, wouldn't have been too hard. Jesus was already praying for Peter, because the enemy loves using those in power, John was too intimate with Jesus, he would have been difficult to crack. And, with so many reasons why the others might not work. Judas was just perfect!!

If you are still in sin today, banking on the Grace of God to escape the punishment you deserve. Remember, the Grace of God is that you are alive to repent from your sins. Turn to Him today, your sins are still betraying Him today.
Christianity EtcRe: How Did Jesus Became A Descendant Of Isaac? by SPTruth: 6:35am On Apr 15, 2022
haekymbahd:
According to christians God chose Isaac as the promise child. Now Jesus was not of the lineage of Isaac nor David because he was said to be born miraculously without no earthly father.

Can we now call Jesus a false prophet/God?
You asked an intelligent question, but the answer is also given in the Bible.
Matthew 22:42-46
Jesus said to them,
42 “What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he?”

“The son of David,” they replied.

43 He said to them, “How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him ‘Lord’? For he says,

44 “‘The Lord said to my Lord:
“Sit at my right hand
until I put your enemies
under your feet.”’[a]

45 If then David calls him ‘Lord,’ how can he be his son?” 46 No one could say a word in reply, and from that day on no one dared to ask him any more questions.
Jesus also said, in John 8:48, Verily, verily, I say onto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

If Jesus was a descendant of Isaac, how come He existed before Abraham, the father of Isaac?. Did you exist before your grandfather?
Simple, because Jesus is God. His Bloodline is divinity. Adam was carrying the Blood of Jesus before He corrupted it by eating the Fruit of the tree of good and evil. And it was passed down to Isaac etc. To the men of His time, Jesus was the son of Joseph , who was from the bloodline of Isaac, they shared the same Blood but one was Pure while the other was corrupted. The question should be did Isaac have the Blood of Jesus, because Jesus actually existed before Him. To the physical man, Jesus is the Son of King David, but spiritually David called Him my Lord, the physical man lives according to the precepts of time, 2021, 2022, 2023, but God lives in eternity continum.
Haven't you read, that Lamb of God was slain(killed) , before the foundations of the earth were laid?

Revelation 13:8. “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Didn't God Tell Pastor Enenche About Osinachi's Situation? by SPTruth: 6:06am On Apr 15, 2022
It is the wisdom of God that chooses to reveal a thing or to hide it. God did not reveal the death of the son of the shunamite woman to Elisha. There were many widows in Isreal, but Elijah was directed to Zarephath. Pst Enenche does not perform miracles, God does through Him. Now I know why the Bible says, the Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom. See youths less than 40yrs old trying to mock an immortal Being.

Deuteronomy 8:10-17
10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you.

11 Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day.

12 Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down,

13 and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied,

14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

15 He led you through the vast and dreadful wilderness, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock.

16 He gave you manna to eat in the wilderness, something your ancestors had never known, to humble and test you so that in the end it might go well with you.

17 You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.”

18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

It is human(fleshly) to forget God when He has answered our prayers and Divine to remain faithful to Him when He has answered our Prayers.
We attend church twice a week just to pray to God for a Visa, when He answers us we stop going to Church "because we got bills to pay".

We join the choir and sing just to pray to God that we need a job, when He gives is the we get too carried away with work to sing in tbe choir again.

We go to church every Sunday to pray for a husband, when He gives us the husband, we no longer remember the address of the Church after honeymoon.

O what about kids, after He gives us kids, sundays will be the time to watch cartoon with them instead of going to church.

You were faithful in your midnight prayers and giving to the poor, because you wanted God to bless you financially, when your business begins to boom, you get so busy to wake up at night, and you laugh at those still giving to the church.

You used to sweep the church every Saturday because you were seeking admission, but when He gave you the course you yearned for, you stopped going to church.

Remember to go back to your First Love and be faithful to Him. May God help us all.

I don't know the university you went to that employed atheists in their religion department. Or, were the atheists so broke that they would rather propagate a concept that they don't know instead of been jobless?. My philosophy lecturer was a Catholic Priest, many lecturers then used to encourage us to attend fellowships and some would allow student preachers to round up their preaching before they resume lectures.

When a man makes an effort to get to God, God can meet Him half way and help him to get to where He is.

So if you're a sinner today, who intends to truly come back to God, even if you feel you've gone too far from Him and the journey back seems a long one, try and at least make an effort as Zacchaeus had done and see what God makes of it.

God bless.

Luke 19:1-10.
1 Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through.

2 A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy.

3 He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd.

4 So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.

5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.”

6 So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.

7 All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”

8 But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”

9 Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.

10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
Christianity Etc3 Lessons To Learn From Jesus And The Tax Collector. by SPTruth(op): 8:51am On Mar 06, 2022
1 He ran ahead and climbed the Sycamore tree.
Zaccheus was a rich, short man that desired to see Jesus. He saw that Jesus was passing that way and he ran ahead to see Him. What sort of rich man climbs a tree? What sought of sinner seeks to see Jesus? Would you climb a tree just to see Jesus if you were rich? Are you too busy for God? Are you too rich to wake and pray at night? Do you find yourself too busy to go to church? Oh, when you were looking for a job, a spouse, children even visa, you used to worship God every midnight, but now He has answered your prayers, you have forgotten or gotten too "rich" to climb the tree. If you find yourself in this situation, now is the time to turn back to Him. Jesus is always passing by. Don't procrastinate, ask for His forgiveness and begin to pray for the Grace to fellowship with Him.

2. He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.
The way the world thinks and the way God thinks isn't the same. He who the world calls a deep sinner can be the next convert in the eyes of God. Let your minds think along the thoughts of God. Don't be envious when you see a "sinner" make progress in life and begin to compare yourself to the person. Don't be vexed when you see a sinner become a Christian and begins to have encounters, visions and miracles you have been dreaming to have. He is the potter and we are the clay, let the potter decide what He wants to use the clay to do.

3. A true encounter with Jesus leads to genuine repentance.

Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.
A true repentance with Jesus always leads to genuine repentance. Whenever, you receive the Good news of the Gospel, do not harden your heart. Repent and let go of anything that will take you back to the darkness you are coming from. To ministers of the Gospel, always take a look at your congregation. Do your sermons lead the people to genuine repentance or does it lead them into deeper levels of worldliness? Does the average member of your church look and act better after attending your services for 6 months or are they worse? Your work on earth is to ensure people encounter Jesus and are led to genuine repentance. Pray not to labour in vain. May the Good God give us His Grace to start and finish strong, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

The man who buried his talent is not a Christian, read again, the man referred to the master as a wicked man who reap where he did not sow, that is someone who pretends to love the Lord but does not.

2cor5:10 is talking about the bema judgment seat of Christ, where every Christian would be rewarded for their labor, however no body is condemned to the lake of fire!
The judgment were people are condemned to the lake of fire is the great white throne which is for unbelievers.
I agree with you if you faith is not producing good works it might be your faith is a dead one faith (counterfeit one).

Righteous deeds does not justify a man
I'm just curious, what will happen to the believers who don't make the cut before the judgment seat of Christ.

Christianity EtcRe: 3 Lessons To Learn From Jesus And The Adulterous Woman by SPTruth(op): 8:13am On Feb 13, 2022
1. Jesus told her to go and sin no more.

We profess with our mouths and hearts that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. Whenever Jesus saves, the first thing that takes place is repentance. In John 5:14, He told the lame man he healed by the pool to go and sin no more, or something worse will befall him. When he encountered Zaccheus, Zaccheus repented and restituted and gave the money he had acquired illegaly to the poor. (Luke 19:1-10).
Jesus told the adulterous woman to go and sin no more. And, that is the message He has for many of us today.
A true encounter with Jesus leads to repentance and a change from a life of sin to a life of righteous living. You cannot claim to know Him and have met Him, and yet be living in active sin. Remember, He is the giver of Grace, He that told you to stop sinning will also give the Grace to do so, if you are ready to heed to His call.
Will you hearken your ears and listen to Him?

2 Jesus knows the hearts of men.

Jesus knew the people had come to bring her to condemnation, not because they cared about Moses' law or because they respected God, but rather to trap Him. Same way, many of us are guilty to judging others, not because of Our Faith in Jesus or out of true love for God, but to condemn our fellow humans, spoil their character in public and raise the banner of self-righteousness. Jesus condemned no one and neither should we do same. The promiscuous young girl in your street isn't beyond redemption. You are no better than her, you are just privileged to have met the saving Grace of the Lord before her. Why not then, take the Gospel to her, before the devil gets her fully? Why not use your mouth for evangelism not gossiping? No human is beyond redemption. Pray for those who are entrenched in sin around you today, reach out to them and share the Good news about God to them. Just like our Master, we have been called to pray and preach to them not condemn them.

3. Harden not your heart.

When the Lord encounters you and warns you to stop sinning through the lips of a believer, don't harden your heart. Listen to Him today and repent, for even tomorrow might be too late. Don't make a mockery of any one preaching righteousness to you, because it will be a witness against you that you were warned, rather take the advise and pray to God for His Grace not to sin again. May the Grace of Jesus continue to speak for us in our navigation through this earth in Jesus name, Amen
