Steep:Having faith in Jesus plus no work is equal to the third servant who buried his talent(matt 25:14), to the fig tree who bore no fruits. Having faith in Jesus will produce fruits some a 100fold, some 200fold. Works are a product(fruits) of Faith in the Lord. If your Faith in the Lord is not producing good works, then there's an error some where. Remember the Word pf God says in 2 Cor 5:10, For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. However, I am saying all these because I think what you mean by works is doing righteous deeds, please don't be offended if I mistook your statement. |

Yes, believing in Jesus makes one saved, for it is written in Romans 10:9 [9]Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. But what does it really mean to Believe? The Amplified Bible puts it in the best way, Romans 10:9 [9]Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Believing means adhering to, trusting in and relying on Jesus Christ. Believing is not a one-off event rather it is a continuous event. Believing is not what should be done once only in the crusade ground or by the church altar where you gave your life to Christ. It is to be done everyday and the fruits are to be evident in our lives. When you give your life to Jesus, and believe in Him, the Holy Spirit will take charge of your Life. When you declare that Jesus is your Lord, you mean He is your President, Oga, Commander of your life. You are making a statement to the world that it is Jesus that you will obey not the world or the devil. For it is written, he who you obey, that is he who is your master. When you Believe in Jesus, you obey his commands in extension showing you love Him. Even when you err, you will be quick to run back to His feet and ask the Father for forgiveness of sins through His Son Jesus Christ, and also ask for the Grace not to sin again, and He is faithful to answer your requests. God is calling us today to Believe in Him not with mouthy talks but through our actions. Let us ask Him for the Grace to refuse to take bribes, commit sexual immorality, tell lies, and indulge in other vices because we believe in Him. God wants you today to Believe that your help doesn't come from stealing, lying or fornication, but it comes from the Lord who made Heaven and Earth. All unrighteousness is sin. Flee from any form of unrighteousness. It doesn't matter how old you're. Even if you are at the brink of your youth. Your body remains the temple of the the Most High God and shouldn't be defiled by throwing a party of demons in it all in the name of sexual immorality. Be Holy just as your Heavenly Father is Holy. We have been called to live a life of Holiness and purity. Holiness in all things including not participating in sexual immorality. There seems to be a strategy from the enemy to infiltrate the world with immorality. From the movies, adverts, songs, videos, pattern of dressing out there, screams and shouts lust. God is seeking young teenagers, men and women who He will use to raise a standard in this generation. People who won't bow to the lust generating machine of this world, but will give their lives to genuine holiness and purity. Has the Holy Spirit been laying it in your heart to repent? Perhaps, you are one of those who He has chosen as a standard in this generation. Now, not tomorrow is the time to go before the Heavenly Father and beg Him to forgive you your sins on the Name of Jesus. He is ever willing to do so. Don't let the devil deceive you. Committing sexual immorality doesn't make you a big girl/boy. It won't make you have good friends and your getting married to the right person is not dependent on fornication. Our Help comes from the Lord who made Heaven and Earth not from fornication or adultery, not from lustful company or vulgar words. Luke 13:6-9 6 Then he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any. 7 So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’ 8 “ ‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. 9 If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’ ” Happy Sunday everyone and it feels good to have you on this thread. In the Gospel reading above, we are hit by the reality of been a tree in the hands of the creator. The Fig tree represents each and everyone of us, the owner is God while the gardener is the Gospel. We are posed with a very important question, Are you bearing fruits for the Lord, or not? What are you doing every day, month or year for the Gospel, humanity and for Jesus? Every single person has a gift from God that He expects us to minister unto others, but unfortunately many of us are carried away by this rat race called life and we think our cause for been alive is to work hard, eat, die and pass on our properties to our kids. Humans like Apostle Paul, Mother Theresa, St Francis de Assisi, Kathryn Kulman, Archbishop Benson Idahosa, have carved a niche of themselves in history because of the good fruits they bore in their lifetime. There are several ways you could bear fruits for God, e.g ensuring you give a certain amount of the money to the poor, widows, orphans, destitutes or church every month no matter how small, volunteering unselfishly as a member of a church choir, sanctuary keepers etc, preaching to others, even creating preaching notes on whatsapp and sending them out. How do I find out what God wants me to do Take it to the Lord in prayers. And say from your heart, Lord what would you have me do? What fruit do you want me to bear? And the Good Lord, who answers prayers will lead you along the right path. At times, the answer to your prayers can be connected to the fact that you are not bearing any fruit. The fig tree probably thought its very green leaves were the source of its existence, unknown to it there are others who determine whether it continues to live or not. Same with many of us, who think our source of sustenance is our job, family, riches, certifications etc. While, all these are good, our sustenance still comes from the Lord, the owner of the vineyard. Hezekiah got saved from death in 2 Kings 16 and had his life extended by 15yrs because he built a temple for the Lord. The widows in Acts 9 prayed for Dorcas to be brought back to life because of the fruits she bore towards them and God answered their prayers. Bearing much fruit can bring to us graces and blessings we could never give to ourselves, and most importantly, a prize in Heaven. The best time to begin to bear fruits is not tomorrow or next week but today and now. Imagine how blessed the world would be if each and everyone of us were working hard to bear good fruit. No matter how insignificant you think it is, it will change souls. May Jehovah open our eyes to the reality that we need to bear good fruits from today in Jesus name, Amen |

Odoctor:lol, I was a legionary for more than 10yrs, so I know how it feels like to be blinded from the truth. There is nothing anyone will tell you that can convince you aside the workings of the Holy Spirit. Saying that church tradition and history has more authority than the Word of God which can never change even if heaven and hell passes away is the normal brainwashing tool. Meanwhile, Jesus quoted psalm 91 and Deut when He was tempted by Jesus. Jesus also read from the Book of Isaiah when he was in the synagogue. Odoctor:The scriptures say that the effectual, heartfelt, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16). You can ask your priest, charismatic prayer warrior etc, to Pray or intercede for you, it is allowed. As far as the person is a human being flesh, bones and blood. The can person can pray to Our Father through Jesus on your behalf. St. Paul frequently asked believers to pray for Him.(ROM 15:30-32, 1 Cor 1:10-11) He never for once told Steven or James that were dead before He wrote the epistles to pray for him. But, once the person is dead, you are not allowed to communicate with the spirit. It is referred to as necromancy which is forbidden by God. 1 Like |

What you quoted, is the Gospel reading of today and it has nothing to do with "praying to Mary". Jesus been God, did not commit any sin on earth, the scripture says ,Honor your father and mother, Jesus had to obey because he can't sin, so He had to obey her as per earthly son to earthly mother. Presently, Jesus has been Glorified and He is sitted far above principalities and powers. Before He left, He clearly stated that all prayers should be said to The Father in His name. Read your entire Bible, there is no place where those that were alive prayed to those that were dead or to angels. Even Saul lost his life for communicating with the spirit of Samuel. That something seems "fast" doesn't make it right, asking for a solution from mammy water can even be faster. I will rather stick to the timing of God than sin against Him. God told Moses to speak to the rock and water will gush out, Moses went and struck the rock twice, and guess what? Even despite the disobedience, water still gushed out. And, he was punished for it, a punishment he wouldn't have received if only he had obeyed. So, results is not what counts in the Kingdom of God, it is total Obedience to the Word of God. All Glory be to Almighty God and to Our Lord Jesus Christ, for allowing us to see a new year. I also thank Him for the likes of our brother Ocholu who spent the crossover with the Lord. In Christianity, there's no such a thing as be yourself, Jesus loves you how you are. No, Jesus didn't come to this world, to suffer, have nails driven into his palms, to wear a crown of thorns, to be whipped severally, to be insulted and ultimately, to die (John 18,19) for us to be dressing as we want, living in sin and just remembering Him in cross over services. The hallmark of the sacrifice of Jesus (Christianity) is Transformation from the Adam man(flesh) to a Spirit-filled Christian. If the only difference between someone who calls himself a believer and an atheist is the fact that you go to church on Sundays and crossover services, then, there's something wrong with that version of Christianity. Jesus died for us to have the Holy Spirit living in us (Rom 8:9), that is what differentiates us from every other religion ,belief and faith on earth. A Christian has God living inside him. That is the sum total of Christianity and the Bible. That is why, we are called the Temple(building, house, mansion)of the Holy Spirit( 1 Cor 6:19). And, that is the Complete Gospel. The work of the Holy Spirit In us is for: Holiness, Sanctification, Renewal of the mind and Transformation. We are called to be Holy as our heavenly Father is Holy, (Matt 5:48, 1 Peter 1:18) We are Sanctified by the Blood of the Lamb that was shed on the Cross of Calvary (Heb 10:10), We are not to be conformed to this World, but our minds are to be renewed constantly by the Holy Spirit, who makes us to know we are Victors over sin, bondage of the devil and the flesh,(Eph 6:23) and we are transformed in character from a sinful person, full of selfish and evil desires to one who becomes to think like how Jesus was thinking when He was flesh on earth.(Gal 4:19) Does Jesus "love" a sinner? Well, Yes, especially sinners who have not been to a church or heard the true Gospel, but His heart burns with sorrow when he sees supposed Christians in church making a mockery of His sacrifice by living in sin. Jesus hated the works of the woman he called Jezebel in the Church of Thyatira because she was committing sexual immorality and eating the food offered to idols and teaching others to do same (Rev 2:23). Jesus also deliberated on spitting the entire Church of Laodicea because they were lukewarm.(Rev 3:16). So, yes, you can be in a Church, but your acts and your works can be an abomination before Jesus. If you truly love Jesus, you should be bothered about how he views you. Thanks. |

FLEE FROM SEXUAL IMMORALITY Every other sin you commit is done outside the body, but the sin of sexual immorality is done with the body, with the unity of the mind and the debasing of your spirit. Know ye not that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit and He lives in you? Why then do you defame His Temple and House (your body) by making it a playground for seducing spirits and every Tom, Dick and Harry. Yes, staying off sexual immorality and living in sexual purity is still very possible in our time, Jesus did it many years ago, and the same Spirit that dwelled in Jesus is still available today and is very willing to help you live in purity as Jesus did. |

No, you are not filled with the Holy Spirit but a demonic spirit. I really feel sorry to tell you this because I sense your genuine love for God. The Bible says when the Spirit comes, He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. When you get filled with the Holy Spirit, you will love the Bible, Jesus, prayers like never before. The hunger will be near insatiable. The scriptures will be like 3d to you, very clear and understandable. The Holy Spirit will make you read the Bible for hours and most times your heart will be burning as He will be explaining the scriptures to you. The peace you will receive is immeasurable, that peace that no one can take away from you. He will give you the ability to speak in tongues and pray for long hours. Brother, I will advise you go for deliverance at MFM, Christ embassy, RCN, Koinoinia or any good deliverance church close to you. And for the umpteenth time, everyone should stay away from T.b Joshua. He was working with the marine spirit of divination. I'm tired of seeing people possessed because of ignorance. God has seen your heart. He will set you free. SOLUTION TO SEXUAL IMMORALITY God placed two trees in the centre of the Garden, east of Eden, the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. He told Man, that he could eat of all the trees in the garden including the Tree of Life, but shouldn't eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, but Adam chose to disobey and ate of that tree, hence he fell, and became a man of the flesh. We who he begot also became like him, men of the flesh. To redeem man back to his original state, He sent His Son to come on earth and model the perfect man, the real Adam that God wanted. And, Jesus was able to achieve this with the Agency of the Holy Spirit which was abiding in Him, hence becoming the first man since the fall to have the Holy Spirit dwelling in Him. Jesus died, resurrected and ascended into Heaven. When He was Glorified by the Father and took His rightful place, He prayed the Father and Jesus, poured out that same Holy Spirit on all flesh. That same Holy Spirit, which is God, that lived in Jesus is still in the world today and it is only when you allow Him to dwell in you that you can truly overcome sexual immorality. Some people have tried to use soulish ways like meditations, yoga etc to try to overcome it, such systems will fail when these dark, unclean spirits are out for your soul, because you cannot battle spirits with soul energy, rather such a battle can only be won by the Power of the Highest Spirit. Hence, we are back to the initial arrangement in the Garden of Eden. God has placed before us His Holy Spirit and Flesh, Life and Death, choose Life today that you may live. It is only by the Power of the Holy Spirit that you can overcome sexual immorality. Allow Him to dwell in you and lead you towards the right path, for the Spirit quickeneth but the flesh profiteth nothing. Your spirit is like a one - room apartment, a spirit must live there. If the Holy Spirit isn't living there something else, like spirits of sexual immorality etc, will live there. It can't be empty, at least, not for a long while. When you accept Jesus into your life and begin to have faith in Him, repent of your sins, get baptised with water, then, get baptised with the Holy Spirit, the strongmen (unclean spirits) that have been habitating in your spirit, will be bound and cast out, then the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, will come and live in you. He will direct your path and teach you. For most people, some thoughts will begin to come, trying hard to seduce you to fall back to sexual immorality. Herein lies the good news, the unclean spirits sponsoring those thoughts are no longer in possesion of your soul ( they are not inside you), for your body is now the temple of the Holy Spirit. They are outside of you, trying to place thoughts to seduce and make you go back to your vomit. If you find yourself in this type of situation, pray to God and relate your problems to Him as you would your father and follow the leadings of the Holy Spirit. He will direct you through the best spiritual exercise for you. He could direct you to a deliverance session in the Name of Jesus either personal or through a deliverance minister, he could gradually subject you to a series of Prayers, Fasting and Reading the Bible, introducing you to good books and sermons, new friends and even a new church or fellowship, as you can carry. All you have to do is obey and fix your eyes on Jesus the Author and finisher of your faith. Don't remove your eyes from Him like Peter and notice the storm, just gaze upon Him, for He that started a thing in your life will be faithful to finish it. |

LIFE AFTER YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT The life after the infilling of the Holy Spirit is a life of freedom, joy, peace and righteousness. For most people, they begin to ask what have they been doing all their lives and missing out on the great things been a part of the Kingdom of Heaven can give you. Your prayer life becomes improved, when you read the scriptures, the Words become like 3D instead of 2D, you can relate with it through Holy Spirit sponsored revelations. Then, He will begin to teach you and lead you to all truth. Our Father in Heaven becomes real, Jesus becomes very real too. Overtime, those pornographic movies, songs, pictures or people who arouse you will no longer wield such power over you. When you consistently give yourself to God through obedience a gradual exchange begins to take place. Your character is removed and Jesus is replaced in place of your character. Instead of lust, you begin to exhibit genuine love, instead of profane words, you begin to speak scriptures, righteousness and Holiness then begins to express themselves through you. The devil will also fight back, he will throw flashes of lustful images to your thoughts, you might see yourself attempting to sleep with someone in your dreams, then, he will send lots of seducing spirits who will influence your friends, and even strangers to come around and try to seduce you. Your soul is very precious, if it weren't, the enemy won't be so focused in trying to win it. Never trust your flesh, or say, i can control myself. When you begin to witness an intense war to seduce you into sin, run to God in prayer with a broken heart and seek the quickening of the Spirit, because it is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing. CAUSES AND EFFECTS OF SEXUAL IMMORALITY Sexual immorality is a pervasion whose root source is the devil itself. It is made manifest in men through the flesh because of the fall of Adam. Due to the fall of Adam, we who are products of the fall began to act, think and live through the flesh. Adam was made to be like God. He was made to commune regularly with God, in the evenings, God frequents the garden which was the habitation of Adam to play and chat with him, and that is how you and I were designed to be. Before the fall, Adam and Eve were naked and were not ashamed, but they fell, that is, the disobeyed God by eating of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and evil, they lost their true form. The Genesis account says, when God came in the evening to play with Adam, he was AFRAID so he hid himself so he hid himself because he was naked. When you are naked you are not supposed to hide because you are ashamed, but the unclothedness disobedience brought to Adam made him AFRAID not ASHAMED. Adam was afraid because he lost its true form. Adam was like a bulb with full voltage electricity, glowing and blazing with dazzling light, but when he disobeyed God, he became like a bulb that was disconnected from its source, like a plain bulb that was off. So it is with us you and I when we commit sexual immorality. Some might argue that it makes one poor, weak etc, but no one can argue about the fact that sexual immorality cuts us off away from God. We were made to be glowing with a dazzling light like Jesus when he transfigured on the mount and was conversing with Moses and Elijah. That is your true identity, that is your true look in the spirit. The spirits of depression and suicide ( which can come from witchcraft oppression or because you consulted spiritualist) has already started trailing you. John 8:36, Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. You can be free from the spirit of masturbation, prostitution, homosexuality, fornication, adultery, pornography, incest, bestiality, indecent dressing and all manner of sexual depravity, if you can receive Jesus Christ of Nazareth into your hearts today. Jesus was beaten with whips, humiliated, had his beards pulled, a crown of thorns was shoved into His Precious Head, stripped off His garments, still carried a heavy wooden cross, had huge nails pass through his palms, and eventually died. Imagine the pains, the sufferings. He didn't pass through all these pains for Holy people, for none is righteous in the sight of God, He passed through them for sinners just like you. His sufferings are not in vain. All you have to do is call upon His name to be saved. His Precious Blood is like the blood of the animals that was applied on the doors of the Isrealites in Egypt , when the angel of death came, it saw the blood and passed over (Exodus 12:13-28). WAR AGAINST SEXUAL SINS Good morning to you all, Special words of encouragement to those trying to desist from sexual sins. When you begin to consciously commit sin, you introduce a demonic spirit into your life. This spirit uses the sin as a legal right to justify its existence in you. At first, it will seem as if you're committing a sin by your will, till you notice you can't help but commit that sin. It will seem as if something came over you and you can't help but masturbate, or commit fornication, or worse, rape someone. When you begin to experience these symptoms, it means the activity is now under the full influence of a demonic spirit. Your will has been stripped off you and you must obey only the commands of the spirit. When you notice that no matter how hard you try, you just can't stop masturbating, it means you are under the influence of a demonic spirit. The only remedy if you want to be free, is to use the Power of the strongest Spirit which is the Holy Spirit to break the chains of the lesser demonic spirits. It takes a spirit to fight a spirit.
