nihilistjnr:He was never going to prevent it 100%. But at least he reduced their access to cash. What he has just implied was to finger the governors as responsible for whats happening. We will wait for the governors to respond. I expected this accusations and counter accusations. |
Tataffo:This is funny but completely illogical and unscientific |
Ellexy:That's the point. The policy on paper is good, even the implementation too. But the moment politics became involved (to prevent vote buying) the whole idea became suspicious and enemies began acting. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:Elijah and the Baal prophets had a bet. Whether that's scientific is left for discussion. You told me that fire came down from heaven, that's how Elijah won the bet. |
Ellexy:CBN was to release up to N500bn back into the system according to them after the initial deadline. The extension of the deadline made them keep back most of that as old notes were still in circulation. What happened next was that most of the fraction that were released were hijacked by state governors and other politicians. In essence, the current shortage is caused by the state governments who want to frustrate the efforts of the CBN, due to the coming election. Buba Galadima said on TV that a governor in the NW has 21bn, a governor in the South has 100m. So the issue has become complicated simply because there was no compliance from everyone. |
afrodoc2:If the bolded was clear to you and yet you didn't get the message then I am sorry. The message of compliance was to every one involved. Without compliance we will not know who to blame. |
iamoyindamola:He is better than Martinelli. Especially during pressing. His only problem is his reluctance to switch position when he is not seeing ball. But we will surely need his pressing against City. |
iamoyindamola:I totally agree. In fact I think we should play our normal attacking game. Pep will not adjust his tactics for us. Neither will he ask two people to mark Saka. The only difference is for Trossard to start. I will also like a situation where Martinelli replaces Nketiah instead of Trossard. |
afrodoc2:Instead of destroying ATMs and banks they should match to government house, or CBN offices or campaign grounds or whatever. Why destroy the infrastructure that you will still need tomorrow. Have you ever met a senator at the ATM before? |
Itsrm:I want to be holy today. ![]()

OkpaNsukkaisBae:Elijah's contest with the prophets of Baal was not evidence of God's existence but rather of supremacy. These are two different hypothetical questions. We can only describe God's existence through common sense, logic and reasoning. If you did any philosophy in school you should understand what I am saying. For example, if I say there's life after death. There's to experiment to prove it. Because even if we kill someone, there's no way to tell as the person won't return back to life. Therefore the only way to describe life after death is through common sense, logic and reasoning. Please note that I am not asking you to now accept that God exists, I am o ky asking you to understand my point of view or the idea I am trying to express |
Itsrm:You didn't get the jist. Just comply is to everyone especially the APC governors. |
afrodoc2:I blame the common man because Nigerians are too ignorant and sentimental in everything to the extent that we extol our oppressors and abuse our deliverers. Actually I already said that I blame the CBN for politicising the policy, APC governors for pushing for an extension, Buhari for being sissy to listen to them, and the Supreme Court for again listening to the APC governors. |
afrodoc2:You were given 31st January to deposit all old notes, you didn't. An extension of ten days was given, you didn't. Even if you were given till thy kingdom come, you still won't. I know I am being insensitive as there are many who are just victims of this whole thing. The real blame goes to the APC governors and Buhari that gave the extension of the deadline. And also the Supreme Court for medling with economic policies that doesn't concern them. Irrespective of whether you support the policy or not, the key point here is just comply. If it fails then we can now hold the appropriate quarters responsible. As it stands now, what we will be hearing is accusations and counter accusations. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:In the scientific method of empiricism, before you carry out an experiment you have to state your hypothesis. It is based on that hypothesis that the validity of your methodology is gained. In this case, the sample is God. This is based on the premise that being God, He is bigger, greater etc than all that we can think or imagine. This means that His knowledge is beyond whatever tests we may want to carry out. If there is a test, that can define God and even derive a formula for His existence, then He is not God. Scientist cannot even describe a formula for the particle of gravity how much more God. So in conclusion, God cannot be defined through empiricism. |
raumdeuter:I think it's due more to security. Three of Okowa's details were killed last week. It's sad that politics has to degenerate to this point. |
Itsrm:Where were they in Nigeria politics that they are now denying knowing PO? Imagine them saying LP are after money and then join APC. Which party dey share money? It's either they are just moles or plain stupid. Expect these kinds of news. People will come out and say different kinds of things. https://punchng.com/northern-apc-govs-wont-deliver-for-tinubu-ex-nhis-boss/ All these things are just to attract some attention |
iamoyindamola:CBN has decided to kept silent. This silence actually is deafening as the nation seem confused. They want to pass a message to the mumu Supreme Court that wants to take over CBN responsibilities. |
hopefulLandlord:My brother these are theories not speculations. That's why I said in the world of scientists (those who we depend on for facts and truths) it's 50-50. The reason is because for some of us the things we see are so overwhelmingly in favour of God. Most of the others of a truth are just being defiant. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:Good. Now when you say evidence it's a big word because evidence means empirical explanation. If God is dog, we can do that. We can take him to a laboratory and prove it. But if God is God, then empiricism is not the way to prove it. Rather we use logic. As a practicing scientist I have asked myself and other colleagues this same questions and here are my conclusions: 1. There is order in the world. Nothing happens randomly. That's entropy. Scientific. 2. There's design. From galaxies to atoms. Everything is well designed. There's replicability. The laws of nature are same every where in the universe. Human gives birth to humans, dog don't reproduce goats etc. 3. There's mystery. If we know and can explain everything then we can know all that exist. The fact that somethings that are very obvious still remain mysterious show that there is a higher knowledge. For example, as common as gravity is to every thing that exists today, there has not been any explanation to it. 4. There's life. The fact that life, as common as it is on planet earth does not exist anywhere else known to man. Not even in the nearest planets or even in our nearest galatical neighbours. Life does not exist anywhere else. Not even bacteria. 5. There's moral justice. Without God there can be no justice in the world. Man is limited, there has to be an all knowing personality that must ensure justice. 6. There is the soul (or spirit). Despite all our similarities with animals, the fact that there's a soul in all of us that determines our choices show that there are dimensions beyond the physical world. 7. There's history. Mankind in all our history have told stories of divine encounters. Many of these stories are similar in their narratives. Whether true or false, over 8billion believers cut accross all corners of the world sharing testimonies and experiencs cannot all be fools. |
hopefulLandlord:There are a lot of things you don't know, that doesn't mean other people don't know them. There are explanations for many things. There's the big bang. There's general relativity. There's quantum mechanics. If you don't know doesn't mean others don't. |
hopefulLandlord:I don't get you. First you oppose random existence. Then you oppose creation. Is your philosophy is that of 'I don't know, and no one knows' ? |
Jodera:His presence would help to break low block defending. This is because he will not hang out with those CBs and so they will be struggling to know who to mark. Nketiah makes it easy for them as he stays with them effectually denying us of an extra man. They key to breaking low block defending is to either add an extra man to the CF role (this is preferable) or the CF moves to the sides leaving the opposing CBs idle (in essence a false 9) |
If you believe in Otem you are not agnostic. In fact you are religious.
|
OkpaNsukkaisBae:I believe God exists but I have not made that claim to you. So if you believe answer, if not ask me to give my own proofs. |
hopefulLandlord:This is true at the bolded especially for the free minded. An ant walking on a tree branch is not aware of the three dimensional space around it. A baby that is born is not aware of the consciousness around it. Does that mean that those don't exist? The answer is no. That I don't know how and why we are here, does not mean that we were not created to be. |
Donjazet2:Nice read. But the poster in a bid to rubbish all the candidates so as to create a balance or sound impartial attributed failures to Obi that shouldn't be. 1. ASUU strike is a national crisis. 2. Poor electricity supply is also a national crisis. Those should be blamed of the FG and presidency not a governor. For me, it rubbishes all he wrote. I mean how is he different from all of us or anyone campaigning for his person? |
hopefulLandlord:Ok. But do you really believe that the world exist by chance? That randomness is nature? |
Ellexy:APC simply took advantage of the desire for change and sold us on a platform of lies and deceits. They started with N1 to $1 |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:Do you believe He exist? What evidence proves your answer? |
hopefulLandlord:Do you think the world is random? Yes or no. You can explain if your answer is neither yes nor no. |
BlueRayDick:When you have a candidate that is not sellable, a candidate with unknown origins, a candidate with ugly past, you fight dirty. They want to do everything to make other candidates look like their own, because the evidences against their candidate are to obvious. They chose Mu-Mu candidacy simply because it suits their political goals. To win at all cost. So while Tinubu himself is a bad muslim, Shettima is an extremist. APC are using the methodology of lies and propaganda because it has always worked for them. It worked against Jonathan, it has always worked for Tinubu. They said he founded Lagos state and his cronies ran with the news. I pity the likes of Fashola because they have Finally, they know that if someone like Peter Obi becomes president, that would mean the end of their political careers as Peter Obi is not your usual politician. |
