VoteTinubu2023: Any place a political party polls more than 80% of the total votes in a Presidential election. The party will take at least 2 Senate seats.
This thing is like an open secret.
All Anambra PDP senators are in trouble right now. One unknown LP senate candidate can just win without a single poster. I think you are right. Voting will be along party lines and so there is a high tendency that those who voted for a particular candidate through his party will most likely do same for other candidates. This is especially true in rural areas due to low voter education. |

Many of us don't understand why Arteta signed Gabriel Jesus. Apart from his work ethics, his style of play makes other players tick. This is because he is the centre of Arteta's tactical formation. Jesus takes up spaces and positions of other players and releases them to make off the ball runs. We may argue, but his absence affected the performance of all our attackers except Saka. Saka is excluded simply because he is good enough to adapt, play as an individual or in combinations. But others like Martinelli, Xhaka and Odegaard were affected. In Emefiele's voice- if you want to argue come out let's argue. |

Jodera: Na this thing I want make you answer. In fact in one of your quotes, you said what he's doing is hurting the team
Now, Nketiah is doing exactly this thing you said above yet he's missing goals. So I ask, why is he missing his big chances recently? My reference to staying is the box is to Gabriel Jesus not just any striker. I said GJ is a clinical goal scorer, quote me. But that his other contributions affect his goalscoring numbers compared to someone like Haaland. I have also said that I am not worried per se about his goal numbers because of what he brings to the team, but that as a striker, some day his goal statistics will begin to affect his mentality because naturally every striker will want to score. Then, for him to have the numbers he has to do less of dropping deep and stay more in the box. That his reason for not scoring is because of loss of composure and not lack of finishing. To prove my point, I picked Nketiah as a reference that being someone who will not drop deep, he will get more goals than GJ despite being less clinical. I was proven correctly. Nketiah is less clinical than GJ yet scores more goals. You said (please take note) that the reason why Nketiah scores more is because he is more clinical. You said that Gabriel Jesus does not score because he misses chances and that he is not as clinical as Nketiah. Now you are the one complaining first about Nketiah missing goals. |

Jodera: Nketiah have been missing big chances upon big chances(clear cut ones) since after his double against Man u.
I remember when Gabriel Jesus was missing chances and having goal drought and the solution according to comrade Spy360 and iamoyindamola is that he should stop all the things that Gabriel Jesus use to do that makes arsenal better and "fvcking stay in the box" cos that's what is making him lose composure to score.
Well, Nketiah is missing clear cut chances now and he hardly does what GJ does. I wonder the solution you guys will proffer for him that's making him lose composure too I have never rated Nketiah above Gabriel Jesus. It's you who wrote an epistle describing how he is a better finisher than Gabriel Jesus, didn't you? Jodera: The only difference Nketiah is scoring more than others is because he's converting his chances(as he obviously gets more chances than our other attackers— just like Jesus)
I once explained here (with stats) how Jesus ought to be among the highest goalscorer in the league because of the high quality of chances he gets. He always underperforms his xG and has the highest big chances in the league before his injury but since he doesn't convert them, most people erroneously thought he doesn't receive them.
Now Nketiah converts more than him and you now think it's limiting others. Mind you Martinelli and Saka both scored against Westham and Brighton. While Odegaard scored in both Tottenham and Brighton too. Now Saka have scored against Man u again (all post world cup)
What does it means? It simply means Nketiah scoring doesn't stop others from scoring. Same thing I was always saying then that others scoring doesn't stop Jesus from scoring but obviously, he wasn't converting his chances like Nketiah. (I remember spamming here with pictures of almost all his big chances missed)
There's a reason you can't prove all your claims with stats or analytical explanations. |

Jodera: Well, if we're looking for goals around that 60-70+ min and we're dominating, I don't think the 3142 will expose us more because the opponent would want to defend with their lives for either a draw or to maintain their lead.
But then, even your formation isn't bad too. The goal is just for Arteta to switch it up when we're looking for goals as the like for like subs is getting found out If Arteta had used this against Everton we would have scored. |

Jodera: When looking for goals, I don't think it's necessary to drop either Saka or Martinelli. We just need to remove either Xhaka or Zinchenko Ystdy. But if Partey is present, remove Xhaka and play Zinny as one of the AMs
Ramsdale White Saliba Gabriel
Partey (yesterday— Xhaka or Zinchenko)
Saka Odegaard Viera(or Zinny) Trossard (or Martinelli)
Nketiah Martinelli (or Trossard).
If we'd done this, we'll have more attackers (and bodies) in their box. Partey(or Zinchenko Ystdy) have the skillset to screen the defence and stop any potential counter attack while the back 3 aren't slouches in terms of brains and brawns too.
Like for like subs and formation will limit us 3-1-4-2 Is a highly attacking formation that will leave us empty at the back. What we played during preseason was more like exposing players to alternate roles. Here's my suggestion ................ Ramsdale.................. White.. Saliba.. Gabriel.. Zinny ................... Partey..................... Saka.........Odegaard.......... Marti ......... Nketiah...... Jesus............... During attacking phase, Zinny inverts into midfield as usual to add more bodies, Jesus can equally drop deep, while we still have Nketiah upfront. |

monerozi5590: I believe EL Rufai will make it easy for us because he is a working governor. People need to be educated on this. Our money can be redeemable not only in CBN but designated points as well.
If anything, EL Rufai will make those points available to us . But we all are awaiting his press release today. You don't get it. Kaduna state is in a federation and cannot exist or operate alone or in isolation. CBN in Lagos is not different from CBN in Kaduna. The CBN says that if you will redeem any old note you have to fill form by YOURSELF, come to CBN by YOURSELF, be investigated by EFCC and police. If you are clean, you will wait for another 4months to have your account credited. No state governor will change it. |

Jodera: My Thoughts on the Game
1... We played a nice game in the first half but really had a breakdown in attack considering our final balls . It just reminded me of our first leg against Man u earlier this season where our attackers and midfielders weren't just in sync with one another when it comes to final passes or just that killer pass to open things up. 2nd half everything changed and the moment got to our players.
2... For all the criticism Ben White might have for not being convincing in attack, yesterday was one of the reasons why Arteta probably prefers him to Tomi. It's a basic knowledge for technical defenders to always scan their surrounding before passing back in case if any opposition is lurking around. White, Zinny and Saliba are mostly the people I'm sure in our backline who does this consistently. Unfortunately, under pressure, Tomi buckled!!
3... Nketiah really really tried filling in for Gabriel Jesus in his absence and I really appreciate that. But then, ystdy and recent weeks just shows few of many things Jesus brings that makes this team better. Aside his pressing from the front and in Midfield, the ability to dribble and drive the ball forward is something we miss In that front line to open up spaces and create tons of chances. His holdup up play, inter play, fluid movement and aerial ball winning is something that we're lacking in that front line as presently Saka seems to be the only one amongst our front 3 who seems to win aerial balls. Jesus not scoring (abi having a goal drought) seems to make most not realize how much he brings to this team even when he's not scoring.
4... We were working on 3412/3142 formation during preseason and we were using it this season whenever we were searching for goals and it worked mostly for us (the game against Fulham a good example). I wonder why Arteta is abandoning it now when we really needed it most. This like-for-like substitution anytime where looking for goal is not just working out. Abi is that 3142 formation specifically for Jesus and Nketiah upfront?
5... Yesterday our some of the players were nervy and it affected their play and those around them. Xhaka in particular was guilty. Jorginho tried especially in regulating and few forward passes but it just shows that Partey is boss. We really miss him ystdy and I just hope he isn't out for long. Hopefully he'll make the squad against Leicester (same with Jesus).
Not a good result or performance but we move. Aston Villa next. Hopefully, we'll get the 3 points to restore optimism and positivity
COYG!! Your thoughts are great. The 3-4-1-2 formation you talked about will mean dropping one of Martinelli or Saka. I'll rather we go 3-3-2-2 dropping Xhaka for Jesus. Since the absence of Jesus, Xhaka has not been effective playing that no 8. Nketiah does not drop deep to create the spaces for him to run into. This has made him redundant in that set up. Apart from struggling with his dominant left foot in that "inverted role" , his inability to hold the ball makes playing that attacking midfield role difficult. Even Lokonga or Vieira would do that better. I wish ESR would recover quickly enough. He is just perfect for that position. |
