Jodera: My Opinion!!
With the way Elneny signed an extension and how he performed last season during Partey's absence last season, I don't think the club is looking for any Partey replacement for now. Highest he'll form a double pivot with Xhaka. I no dey put my mind for any incoming Partey's deputy.
As for the Neto deal, Omo I'm beginning to doubt we can pull that off. Read he has 5yrs in his deal which expires 2027. If they can sell Average Gibbs-White for 40m+, I doubt they'll listen to 50m for a more highly rated Neto with at least 2years EPL top flight experience. Maybe the club is just using that to deflect attention for another signing underground (like in Viera case) to prevent hijacking (which is a theme presently) or they're just doing fans longer throat . I believe in the former
As for Tielemans, I don't know whether we're seriously in for him or not. I guess deadline day will make things clearer in this case but if I'm to pick a guess, I would say we might not sign him this summer. Exactly my thoughts. Edu and Arteta started dragging leg on Tielemans deal after Lo kk Inga shined in that no 8 role during preseason. They now consider Xhaka as the main guy and him as backup, at least for now. Also, Elneny's performance last season surprised many and Arteta became more willing to fortify other areas like LB and RW. I think the priority now is a RW. Pepe has not impressed the coach and time is running out. |

iamoyindamola: let me start with ucl 1 and 2 enter round of 16 3rd place enter play-off with 2nd of europa instead of the normal round of 32 we use to have Winner join the 1st in each groups for a draw in round of 16 3rd in europa enter play-off with 2nd in conference league instead of the round of 32 Winner face off with group winner for round of 16 draw Do you understand it now
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How does the group work? All the group winners will progress straight into the round of 16, which is due to take place on 9 and 16 March.
The second-placed teams go into a play-off round on 16 and 23 February, where they will face off against the eight teams that finished third in the UEFA Champions League groups to earn the right to reach the round of 16.
The third-placed teams drop into the UEFA Europa Conference League, where they will face the group runners-up from that competition in the play-off round, also on the 16 and 23 February.
Anyone finishing fourth will be eliminated from European competition.

Arsenate: Funnily, Wolves won't even want to sell for that except maybe Mendes pushes for it. Personally feel the price isn't too much for him. Premier league proven, highly rated (Wolves supposedly rate him higher than Jota) and still very young. Better than Jota? The only player rated above Jota then was Jimenez |

ObaIgwe1: Just imagine Neto being priced £50m.... higher than the amount we got Jesus or Zinchenko? Imagine Antony... £80M Fofana... £80M De Jong.... £72m Anthony Gordon ... £60m
City should be wondering what juju Arsenal used against them. I'm telling you. Man United and Chelsea usually inflate the market so that they can price out potential big money teams. A club like Newcastle trying to come up will begin to struggle to get quality players unless they are willing to invest very huge amounts into building a decent squad. |

iamoyindamola: Neto for 50m is way too much I will take Daniel podence instead just that he's injury prone Anything more than 35m is too much jare It's too much because compared to other players that have moved I don't think Neto is that good. However it's not my money. So I approve the deal. Wetin concern me. After all Kroenke have been hoarding his money all these years. I don't care if he makes a loss now. All I care is my joy. kokaneprodigy: Were you there? can you share a link to this? Or forever remain quiet. You weren't there either to assume that our target is to win the league. Do you jump from class1 to class 3? The club has said the goal for the season is to get to CL, which means to either finish top 4 or win the Europa or both. If you comprehend well you will also realise that it doesn't mean if they get the chance to win the league they should bottle it. In fact they will be pushing towards that. But the least that can be expected of them is to get into the CL next season. |

Arsenate: You can understand why City are on a different level. Players like Zinchenko and Jesus are not guarantee starters over there but they'll improve virtually every other team in the league.
I believe they'll do even better under Arteta as they'll be allowed more freedom. Pep, an excellent coach as he is, tends to stiffle individuality (see Grealish).
Getting those two for a combined fee of 75 million pounds is an astounding business. For perspective, Man utd and chelsea are each trying to acquire Antony and Fofana for 80 million pounds. Good points except that you needed to put 'each' after the pounds |

ObaIgwe1: You are right my oga. If we had won at least one of those 3 matches, maybe we would have been playing in CL now. So yes it's early in the season, these wins matters and the many goals matter too.
I even want Spuds and Chelsea matches to come earlier .... This form we have now is superb.
Your boy is giving us joy, the fans celebrate him, Arteta said all the players were also celebrating him in the dressing room. That his goal was a perfect icing on the cake. His yesterday stats is uncommon, the goal notwithstanding. With the current price of defenders in the market, the guy now worths more than 100M.
I am always on the thread o... Just that work pressure often disturb me from posting comments. Thanks for the lookout. I am telling you bro. If Fofana is 85m, Saliba is 100m we picked on the road. Most of us were surprised after he was sent on loan last season, but the spell really paid off in huge returns. France is a good place for players to grow and learn. Tavares may return as another beast. |

Politics › Re: Who Would OBI Votes Destroy Most: Atiku Or BAT by Spy360(m): 5:06pm On Aug 19, 2022 |
SmartPolician: Atiku Abubukar is the favourite to win this election because of his popularity, financial strength and party structure. Although his former boss called him a lot of unprintable names, he has national appeal.
I have noticed that those who promote Tinubu are mostly Yorubas. You rarely see ordinary Nigerians from other tribes promoting his candidature. Like I always say, the winner of this election is someone who can win votes outside his region.
Lastly, Peter Obi has the least prospect of winning this election because he is new and running on a party without a structure. However, he has has high future prospects because he represents a paradigm shift from the old way of doing things. Yes, I will vote for him as a way of supporting him.
But I won't completely rule out a runoff in 2023. Structure of a political party was effective years back because people were left with no choices. Most if not all of the candidates were not people's choice. So most voters were party members or simply voted along party lines after being induced. Peter Obi has changed the dynamics for elections in Nigeria. A vast majority of new voters registered because of PO. Especially with the new electoral law, there is a huge possibility of an upset. Very huge as it is very obvious. To much suffering have made people wiser and it will reflect in the elections. People will vote because they hope for a better Nigeria. They will vote for a candidate they chose.

Spirit04: Tinubu will clear south west. In South South, he will easily wipe the entire Edo North (Oshiomole will even be on the ballot that day) Pdp will clear Edo central which is where I'm from, they will split Edo south depending on how much oyegun and the others corporate. PDP will clear Delta North. APC will most likely win Delta Central (Omo Agege will win governorship election and the wave will affect presidential election) Rivers all depends on where Wike sway. APC won't win Rivers but the margin could reduce. Akwa Ibom win most likely follow Pdp. I don't know of Cross Rivers. Apc will win North West. APC will win Niger, Kwara and Kogi. Nasarawa will most likely follow Pdp. APC chairman is not a serious person. Apc will wipe Borno and Yobe and might win Gombe. Pdp will wipe Adamawa, Taraba and Bauchi they might win Gombe.
LP and NNPP are not even in the race You try. But it's still wishful thinking. You think people will vote a political party because of one chairman or politician that was useless to them? I need statistical data and demographics. I need to how what will control the minds of the majority of the populations and how that will affect the general results. |
