50d33q: I am just thinking the kind of prep talk arteta will give his boys on Thursday knowing a victory will seal the qualification. 80% of our boys yet to taste UCL football and the game is spuds to lose because we have the advantage. White is available but I will stick with holding and white to come in to do the holding formation when we are comfortable Spurs like every Conte team is designed to thrive on counter attacks. So they try to get an early goal and then git on counter to finish the opponent. They also would want to sit back against teams that attack like Liverpool and Man City while aiming at quick counter. When they do attack they are very vulnerable at the back especially at set pieces. First I will ask the boys to remove the 'mind' of we must win this game from their heads, it will only lead them into Spurs trap. Secondly they should just defend and allow Spurs to come out and then hit them with counter while spoiling their plan with neat passes. It won't be easy to face a dying dreamer like Spurs but we can do it with good game management. |

This is where I have to apologize. I have really underestimated him. Don't know why, but he has mastered how to use his experience to make up for his lack of creativity. Big ups to Arteta. Even though, I still believe Lokonga will be a better player. |

He's free, just hand him a contract. 60k per week will keep this guy. He's homegrown and an Hale Ender. |

BlueRayDick: Nketiah get good ball movement sha , no be lie When I was arguing with Jodera about how good he is in terms of movement and positioning he was doubting me. I said we needed a poacher like him in that team rather than a creator like Lacazette. I have seen Nketiah several times in his youth days and wondered how huge a potential he was. I once said here that he has a better youth record than DCL and Abraham and that could translate into senior levels. I have been proven right so far. Why we don't get carried away, we need to appreciate how good the lad is as a simple goal poacher. One area he needs to strengthen is the power in his finishing without affecting the accuracy. Let the wingers do the creation, Nketiah will always be available when they call. |

Lush100: From what I gathered, According to keown , the timing of the contract is wrong. I believe all of us agree in that. But some clubs were justling for his signature hence they decided to do an extension to ward them off. If we get top4, I think he deserves the contract, Then we would look at how arsenal play during champion league and he must learn how to rotate his squad, Give Saka break abeg, cos na 3 /4 days be playing time.
Should we go for Richarlson? What you don't get is that the target for this season was a top 6 finish or to secure a European competition next season. He has already achieved that and is looking to surpass it. |

kokaneprodigy: First you lied claiming Rodrygo was in the match from the start. I later pointed out to you that Real Madrid won by taking out two defensive players and replaced them with attackers. Yet you want to claim defense wins you league.
Did Real Madrid win by prioritizing defense? Someone pointed out here City lost by soft pedaling on attacking just to see out the game. Yet you are bringing megedefegede yarns about defense. Nothing is more asinine than talking about defense carrying the day in a game that ended 6-5 on aggregate. Show me where I said Rodrygo started the game? And show me where Is aid Madrid won because of better defense. Are you having brain farts? I asked where was Rodrygo all through 90mins doesn't mean I said he started. Besides, the point I made was that any player could have scored the two goals including Benzema. Both goals were not fantastic. He was just there. Secondly I never even mentioned Madrid, I was about Man City. Madrid won because City didn't do what they had to do. Which is to defend and kill the game when it clocked 80mins. They were still attacking with Grealish and Sterling. Lastly, a word of advice, don't do drugs. |

Sometimes, i wish i have the kind of strenght they have for the job. There is money in the job if u really know ur job. Apart from being self employed, construction companies and other companies do employ them. If u are a pro in the job, and a construction company employs u, ur pay would be higher and u wouldn't need to stress urself much because laborers would be deployed to u to fetch water for u, carry sand for u etc. While u would mostly just to direct and instruct them, and do less work. All you have said is great and actually buttresses my point especially the bolded. It means working smart. |

kokaneprodigy: Rodrygo 90mins? Obviously you didn’t watch the match you are just a waste of time.
Rodrygo an attacker was brought in at almost 70th minute to replace a deep lying CM Tony Kroos, Marco Asensio an attacker replaced Casemiro a DM at 75th minute.
This changed the dynamics of the game making them score 2 goals within minutes which have them a life line.
But defense won them the game according to you. Agenda must agend to massage your warped ego. Why are you so foolish? I hate having to boost your brain whenever I have to explain something to you. I can't be doing this all the time. Man City lost a lead within 1min of 90 because they had no plan to defend despite how good they are in every department. If that isn't sensible to you, then I can't help you, I am not your father. |

50d33q: No because arteta and his boys have mastered holding formation and it's been working because the moment holding comes in play is officially over No more attack our attackers form midfielders with other 2 midfielders You will also notice they form 3 CBS(white holding Gabriel) they don't leave the box18 no matter what So in essence Arteta has better defensive plan than Pep, isn't it? |

kokanepyramid: What made the difference yesterday was Rodrygo and he’s an attacker.
Every other thing is megedefegede.
If defense wins you league Athletico should have made it to the final with the haram football it plays
Which warfare? Russia has been on the offensive in Ukraine while Ukraine is only tryin to pushback. Tell me which of them has suffered more casualties in human and infrastructure? What was Rodrygo doing all through the 90mins before scoring? It could have been Benzema or anybody. Once that City defense began to leak, anybody would take their chance. Ukraine which you raised has a poor defensive strategy. Russian troops were stationed bear their borders for over a month yet they had no plan for possible invasion. A friend there told me that life was so normal the very night the Russian invasion began. They are a poor example of defense. What I mean by attack wins battles but defense wins war is exemplified in the Vietnam war. You can conquer and occupy a city, but if you can't defend it, you will eventually lose. |

timay1: Exactly,
Infact Peps mistake yesterday was going defensive with Fernandinho instead of tightening the noose on real madrid when he had the upper hand When I say defense it does not necessarily mean bringing in defenders. It means have a defensive plan or tactics same with attacking. I hate doing school boy explanations. Man City probably has the best attack in PL yet have no striker in their team. What does that tell you? Attacking or defending has to do with tactics not just personnel. Pep's mistake was not in the players he brought on but in the tactics. He was all out attacking with no defensive plan even when the game was about to end. |

kokanepyramid: Dude rest, both teams were woeful defensively, even Liverpool against Villarreal was woeful defensively. The formidable attack helped those teams to the final. I have not ruled out the formidable attacks. But what made the difference yesterday was the defensive plan of both teams. It's a simple philosophy and it surprises me how you guys can't get it. At least get the idea even if you don't believe it. This thinking is used even in warfare. I mean the balance between attacking and defending. To win a battle you need a strong attack but if you will win the war, you will need a strong defense. I can't simplify this further. This is lay man knowledge. |

Man City lost because they have a poor defensive game plan.
That's one area I praise Arteta, leading 1-0 by 80mins, he would send in Holding and that's game over.
Pep could have done the same, but he has no defensive game plan. That goes back to the philosophy of attack winning you games but defense ensures the title.
You begin with good attack but can only go far by good defending. |

Roland17: Can we talk about our improvement in offensive and defensive set pieces? We are now dangerous and difficult to defend against during set pieces because our players are finding the space inside the box to attack the ball. Honestly I have so much confidence whenever we concede a corner. Even West Ham who are good at set pieces left empty handed. |
