LordFarquaad:
Just so you know Nairaland is quite popular and it will be disheartening if the first air observed on visiting this platform is the stench of unrestricted tribalism..

I was simply preparing for my exams this morning and decided to peruse through my lecturer's book and to my greatest amusement towards the "godfatherism" subheading I saw him citing Nairaland.
Nairaland is a good site for sourcing opinions for sample collection. Being a faceless forum no one is under duress.

Which Champions League?

Check the table bro
I see City running away with the title and are on point to win the treble.

When we say 'Manchester' we know who we are referring to.

United's only hope is the EL and that's something Arsenal want too.

So?

Really? Well, I always thought otherwise cos if any mistake happens in the first leg, then the pressure will fully be upon us going into the 2nd leg away
A 0-0 first leg draw at home is a slight advantage going into the second leg away. As any goal you score counts as two. That was what Slavia used against Rangers, and Porto against Juventus.

The only advantage for playing the second leg at home is if both teams are tied on aggregate after 90mins, you have the advantage of 30mins extra time at home but that in itself is tricky as any goal from the opposition can easily dislodge you.

That's not the issue. The issue is, would 2-0 be enough to eliminate us? That's what I try to correct that it wouldn't.

As for Slavia, I Believe nobody here is underestimating them, I just hope the players isn't too. Also, we're at a slight disadvantage here cos we're playing at home first. I just hope we end the business in 1st leg
0laying home first for me is an advantage as we can win without much pressure.

Nah... This isn't a fact. They needed to beat us 3-0 ystdy to eliminate us not 2-0
Had they gone 2-0 up within 5mins to the end of that match, do you think we would be having this discuss?

As for Slavia, they are unbeaten in the home league after 23 games. They knocked out Leicester and made a mess of Rangers away (Rangers had two players sent off). Speaks volumes.

When me being Auba's number 1 fan here was talking about arsenal needing a striker who offers more than what he's currently offering us; someone here said I was doing beer parlor analysis.

I couldn't watch the first half yesterday, but I saw the second half. I was mad seeing Auba missing that tru ball he got in the second. I mean how can u run few meters with the ball then suddenly decide to play the ball with Ur weaker left foot when u could've blasted it home with Ur right foot?

His pressing upfront is also questionable especially seeing what Lacazette does when he plays that CF position , forcing either the opposing keeper or defender to give the ball away with how hard he presses them.

Yesterday match also confirmed my earlier position that Bellerin is now useless , we should try and get another RB who should slug it out with Cedric; watching Bellrin play the nonesense he’s playing now just annoys me
Lacazette presses better and holds the ball better. But Auba gets more into scoring positions and converts better than Lacazette.

If Auba plays he has a high probability of scoring himself as he gets into spaces. If Lacazette plays he needs others to do the scoring, while he creates the spaces.

So it depends on what the manager wants and the other players that are available. Lacazette needs wingers/midfielders who can finish well (Martinelli, Pepe, Odegaard), while Auba needs wingers/midfielders who can create chances well (Saka, ESR, Willian).

I also agree to the bolded,as regards change in attitude of the first family, especially after the death of Abba Kyari however I still strongly believe that the man in Aso Rock is Buhari, my reason being that if it's not Buhari, the opposition especially the PDP must be making alot of noise by now.
Do you think PDP will be quiet knowing the person at the villa isn't Buhari?
I doubt
One fact that is indisputable is that Buhari changed both physically and mentally/psychologically (character and attitude). So it's either he had a plastic surgery and therapy, or he is cloned/impersonated.

One day the truth will surface.

Despite being a rookie, I must commend Arteta 's disciplinary stances. Dropping somebody like Auba for disciplinary reason was commendable. It perfectly sent messages to other players.

BTW I read that Auba was the first to drove home on Sunday and didn't partake in the team celebration after the match.
Such an ego.
I believe Auba recognises the need for strict discipline unless even his fellow players will roast him -the likes of Xhaka and Tierney etc.

His driving home early must have been a way of expressing remorse.

Bros, your post is seething with lies, hatred and toxicity.
Your heros, Ken and Isaac Boro, who for pecuniary gains betrayed Biafra were gruesomely murdered by the same people that used them.
And you, out of incurable obsession with hatred for the Igbos still can not read the handwriting on the wall.
Ojukwu arrested Boro but refused to kill him. Ojukwu knew that he was fighting for freedom but he was fighting alone leaving out his fellow brothers. Boro did not even consider the Ikweres

You believe a liar because you cannot research.. This is why they say if you want to hide anything from a black man, you write it in a book. You have internet, yet you cannot find the truth for yourself but believe a lie because one idiot wants to cause disaffection among people that have lived in peace for hundreds of years? I served in Ijaw land. These are people that have married Igbo for centuries. So Fulani cannot love an Ijaw man more than Igbo as seen with Adaka Boro and Ken Saro Wiwa.
I believe you too.

The thing is that we were not born when those events took place and so such stories can only be evaluated through logic. Also, sometimes some grey area would be painted off just to hide some truths or to tweak the motives.

I think as at the time of Isaac Boro protests, Nigeria as a country was well regionised and each region was quite autonomous. So there was no urgent need for secession. However when the northern elites began to kill easterners, it was clear that the seeds sown by our founding fathers of the type of nation this country can thrive on have been thwarted, oneness was no longer teneble. One part of the country have begun to see themselves as primary citizens.

I believe in restructuring based on the 1960 model, but I also know that it will never happen again. So the only way to survival is to divide.

Divided We Stand.

ARE YOU A BIAFRAN?
Those who arrested and sentenced Isaac Adaka Boro to death for declaring Niger Delta Republic were neither Hausa-Fulanis nor Yorubas but two supposed brothers of his and Biafrans named Odumegwu Ojukwu and Aguiyi Ironsi who were still on the side of Gambaris and still trying to please them as at then. For declaring Niger-Delta Republic Ironsi, the then military head of state, ordered Ojukwu to get Isaac Boro arrested for treason.
Ojukwu, in an attempt to please Gambaris, fought Isaac Boro for 14 days within which he used federal might of “one-Nigeria” to kill 150 soldiers loyal to Isaac Boro, caught Isaac Boro, stripped him naked and sent him over to Lagos where Ironsi charged him to court and within just 2 months got him convicted, at the Supreme Court, of treasonable felony of trying to break away from Azikiwe’s one Nigeria, got him sentenced to death by hanging. While Ironsi and Ojukwu did all that to Isaac Boro, they left untouched their own Igbo brother soldiers who planned a coup with which they killed Innocent Hausas, Yorubas, Niger Deltans, Middle belters leaving Igbo politicians unharmed despite they, like Zik and Okpara, were part and parcel of the corrupt Balewa government.
However, before Ojukwu and Ironsi could execute their sentence on Isaac Boro God intervened and the counter coup happened. Ironsi was overthrown and killed. Gowon took over declared Isaac Boro innocent and released him. But just fifteen months later Ojukwu too declared Biafra Republic due to the way Igbos were being killed in the North. In declaring Biafra, rather than first apologise to Isaac Boro for what he earlier did to him and then ask for his cooperation in fighting to realize the Biafra dream, Ojukwu did nothing like that but without consulting Boro at all went as far as arrogantly including in his Biafra map the very Niger Delta areas which Isaac Boro earlier tried to pull out of Nigeria and which he (Ojukwu) nearly killed him for.
This angered Isaac Boro and Ken Saro Wiwa who both pledged support for Gowon in order to teach Ojukwu a bitter lesson for his arrogance and dishonesty. That was why Isaac Boro and Saro Wiwa fought on the side of Gowon during the war. Naturally Isaac Boro couldn’t have come out of prison to join the Ojukwu who jailed him and fight against the Gowon who released him. It would have been absurd. No rational human being does that.
This is the truth of what happened and which Igbos hate to hear but prefer to blame everyone else as if they themselves were 100℅ innocent.
Igbos must learn to say the truth because if the Biafra/Niger Delta Republic they now seek is founded on lies and deliberate falsehood, like Nigeria, it will not stand but will soon become a failed state like Nigeria. We can’t leave Nigeria for another Nigeria.
But we however know that Igbos allergy to truth is incurable, therefore Niger-Delta states will never be part of Biafra
Interesting write up and I think I believe you. But honestly let's keep prejudice aside, we need a new country. Nigeria has become a faded dream.

I just watched "open mic" version of the north London derby highlights on Arsenal's Facebook page with Tierney in focus. Trust me, that young Scott gives me joy....he's highly spirited, 200% serious and a future captain material. His level of ginger is unrivaled.

Watching the video I also understand why Xhaka was initially made captain; he has leadership qualities and doesn’t keep quite watching out for others. I think Xhaka’s leadership quality exceeds his skill set as a footballer. Only wish he’s a better player than he is currently

I checked it and it's so convincing. We need that guy long term. He brings a lot of drive for the team. He's like the infield manager similar to Xhaka.

You see Luiz and Xhaka. Those two are guys Arteta likes. Esp Luiz. That's why wen guys here says luiz should go, he brain farts, he does this and that, I just smile. Arteta knows Luiz brings more than what his cb needs in his team. Xhaka too is another person. Even tho they make one or two errors, Arteta feels their positives always outweighs their negatives..

Well, till we buy another good midfielder that Arteta loves, xhaka is here to stay. As for Luiz, his time sha is short here cos of his age.
Absolutely. Every coach knows what they want. Same between Guen and Emery. Fans may not like a particular player for one reason or the other but the coach knows what that player brings especially in achieving his tactical plan. That's what Xhaka is to Arteta. As long as he is fit he will play, as if he has no substitute. I remember when people said Partey will bench Xhaka in DM and I laughed because I have always known that Xhaka is not a DM and Partey would rather partner him in CM.

Luiz's contract ends this year but I won't be surprised if he gets another extension because of what he brings. His performance this year is far better than last year.
FamilyRe: I Regret Getting Married To The Mother Of My Triplets by Spy360(m): 8:43pm On Mar 15, 2021
Prospertochu:
I got my girlfriend then now wife pregnant, I wasn't ready for marriage my plan was to take care of her and my baby while she stay in her father house, her mother was fine with it as long I take care of my responsibilities, but everything changed when the scan confirmed that she was carrying triples, her mother said I must marry her because there's no way her daughter will still under her roofs with 3 children. I. Pleaded her to give me sometimes to find my own accommodations because I was living in my father family house after his demise I stay with his siblings while my mum left with my younger sister. My mother in law refuse saying I must do something fast because she doesn't want people to mocked her that her daughter has gotten pregnant out of wedlock not just with one baby but 3 so I managed to saved enough money to get a place for our own but her mother refused saying I must pay her bride price first, I didn't have any more money so i have borrowed from friends and added to the money I had to pay for her bride price. It wasn't a big party just something small, I took my wife to my father family house where we are living now with our triplets but things hasn't been easy for me, taking care of 3 children it's not easy, I am grateful that I am rent free but household bills are killing me. My wife and I are always arguing because she keeps asking for more money my salary is 55k I use to give her 20k monthly, 10 monthly to my mother and I use 20 and save 5k she said the money wasn't enough that I am stingy, I now started giving her 25k she is still complain about the money not being enough I refuse giving her more she started staving me of sex and foods. My family are tired of separating us fighting almost every day, my uncle has asked us to leave the compound because we are disturbing there peace and I had to beg him to forgive us that ur shouldn't be happening again and I cautioned my wife but  she is threatening to abandon me with the kids. I have told her to do her worse because I am tired of her madness. I wish I never married her in the first, all I could've do is to take care of my kids and let her be I know its too late now to change the past but what should I do?
1. Accept Jesus
2. Accept your wife/marriage
3. Stop giving her money, rather make plans with her over your entire income. Let her know and contribute on how to spend your money.

God's grace.
