kodded: arteta has already said that his performance yesterday will not affect the club decision to retain him next season.
the club main problem is the whole midfield and LW position, if we can get it right in this next transfer window then we can stand a chance to fight for top 4 Luiz's school boy errors showed against Brentford. Against ****ing Brentford. What did you expect against mighty City? |

kodded: a serious club shouldn't be using inexperienced players like guenduozi, willock, saka, nkeitah, martinelli and Nelson in their starting line up but when you realize that this young lads have more hunger and passion than the so called experienced players, then you will just be wondering what's the direction of the club
atleast this match has opened the lies that we don't need a true and experienced LW, abua was useless as usual, saka was too inexperienced and anonymous against man city full backs, and same goes for martinelli
I didn't expect a draw in this game because I knew the difference in quality between the two clubs, the only negative I got was the three injury and red card we had, now we are left with holding and mustsfi as CB, and the season is just resuming. hopefully the injuries are not that sever because we will be playing matches every 3 days.
Las Las na to forfeit the remaining match if care is not taking
I wouldn't wish to be in arteta shoes right now, what a hopeless situation to be in right now My point since time in memorial |

All these comedy errors from Arsenal players must stem from the soft approach of our coaches and board.
Mistakes happen, yes but not comedy. When players begin to get fines and suspensions for comedy then they would be more serious and focused.
You hardly see a Mourinho player make comedy errors. |

MrDojo: Saka has Pace ooo. Don't allow his 'big man' style of running to fool you. The boy is fast (not like them Sterling fast, but fast). IMHO, playing him at left back is a waste. He's the kind of player that I see entering into CAM later in his career. Although he uses his left foot most ofthe time, his right is pretty solid, too. Exactly my thoughts. |

BlueRayDick: Haaland is too expensive for a player we are hoping will transit from a prospective star boy to a stay boy in the distant future. We bought Pepe within that price range and he's yet to live up to the hype.
Buying a 19 year old player that is coming from another league to the epl where he will have to adjust his game for 70million is not an investment but an unwise decision. I believe the decision makers at the Emitates won't give it a thought at all. Haaland has a better prospect than Pepe, even before Pepe joined. I'll understand if those at The Emirates won't give it a shot. I'll understand ifvwe keep being mediocre. I only hope Arteta can gradually instill the type of hunger they've got at his former place. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 7:03pm On Jun 16, 2020 |
BlueRayDick: I already pointed it out that if Auba must leave, then we should be thinking of getting an experienced striker that has proven himself to be one.
We bought an experienced Auba and he has since been banging in goals for the team. If we want to challenge for anything other than Emirates cup, then we should be getting proven names. Buying a player like Haaland right now is a luxury and not a necessity. The rush for Haaland should be for Clubs like Barca, Madrid, man city, man utd etc who are financially buoyant and can always count their losses should such players flop. There's paucity of funds at Arsenal, we should be buying an inexperienced 19year old for 70million. Your point is respected. But getting a player like Haaland is not a luxury, its an investment. Such investments for me should be our priority for now as the probability of getting the experience you wish for is very low since no proven top class experienced striker would want to join us considering the condition we are in. I insist that if Haaland is a possibility then we shouldn't miss out. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 3:30pm On Jun 16, 2020 |
BlueRayDick: Did Sir Alex sell off his best only to sign a young C. Ronaldo? I stated it clearly in my post that selling Auba who is undoubtedly our best player only to replace him with a young and inexperienced Haaland makes no sense at all. I still stand by it.
We would only go back to the days of dem Denilson, Alex Song, etc when we had young inexperienced players who couldn't win anything for years. A club that is serious will add players like Haaland to an experienced team and make him understudy big boys like Auba. It is the idea of selling Auba to get Haaland that turns the belly. How many young players become an instant success like Mbappe? Just imagine Barca sold Messi to get Dembele.
Did Your point is noted. But let's place it into context. Aubameyang is having contract issues with us already and there are rumors he is itching to leave. So we are faced with keeping an unsatisfied Aubameyang or leveraging him to get a younger prospect. I think selling Auba and actually getting a huge prospect like Haaland is worth the risk. |

BlueRayDick: Sell Ur club's current highest goal scorer who was last year's league highest goal scorer ( because u believe he is aging) only to replace him with a 19 year old that plays in a farmer's league and expect him to to lead the frontline?
I no dey into this kind arrangement at all. Halland has only played for a short while in the Bendes-Ligor and he hasn't proven himself elsewhere. Signing him to replace Auba is a huge risk that shouldn't be taken at all. If Auba must be sold, then an experienced striker should be brought in to replace him Sorry bros but it's this kind of thinking that made us miss out on Christiano Ronaldo, Benzene,Mbappe, endless etc. In a year or two max, Aubameyang would be done and then we would wish we had a replacement earlier- especially when the opportunity was there. When Haaland becomes the 'experienced' replacement you wished for, he would have gone to United or Madrid. Selling Aubameyang to get Haaland now is a risk but it's worth taking. Those that are going after him are not fools. They have seen something. |
