chuckdee4: Wigan didn't get whitewashed There is a way we could have lost 3 - 0 and it still wouldn't have been bad That team on Sunday went there, rolled over and got f**cked, with no resistance (Reminded me of how teams used to get done by United in the Ferguson era because of fear).
The fuss is about putting up a fight, only Wilshere seemed to care I'd rather we analyze who the next manager should be than ranting about if Wenger should leave. Everyone is talking about Henry. But I'll go for Leonardo Jardim of Monaco. Someone who can cope with our stingy owner and yet win somwthing. Another is Simeone, but I don't know if I will enjoy his ultra defensive style. |

sod09: you still don't get it do you, it's not because we lost but the manners and body language of the playere....no drive or fight Everyone was strolling on the pitch except wilshere We can't keep finding excuses for the old man when it's obvious he has past his time already, even the players wants change No one is giving excuses. Wenger must leave either this year or next. The point is why bring up this issue whenever we lose game, like the issue weren't there all the while. The Wilshere you mentioned was even poor in that game. All the players were poor. The manager's tactics, poor. But it was against Manchester City not a division one side. |

chuckdee4: You don't get it, I wasn't expecting us to win. The manner in which we lost just shows how far back we have fallen.
This is a team we beat last season in the FA Cup (Minus their new inclusions). Is it then acceptable that we have become so inferior to City in the space of a season. While City were boosting up their squad, what did Wenger do to match them and other teams?
Bros this Wenger matter don done, someone should come and stick a fork in it May be they should have focused on defending just as Wigan did. May be they should have gone for all round attack just as Liverpool did. Which ever option you take, against a team like Manchester City, you risk being white washed So then why all the fuss,? If City had played badly and we won (by mistake), would all these rantings from Ian Wright and you all come up? |

I think we are all just being bitter, and playing the blame game.
We lost to City, Pep's City arguably the best team ever in PL and we are throwing tantrums like spoilt brats.
Cool down, if that final was so important, Man Utd and Chelsea should be crying more.
Besides do we deserve the cup more than City? City invested more so they deserved it. |

With welbeck in attack we are guaranteed to lose, lacazette will miss both legs and auba is ineligible Milan aren't in a better situation themselves. I see it as a loser's round, where the loser gets lost. I can only hope Lacazette would give us a surprise return, as for the chicken footed Welbeck, ... |

........................... Ospina ........................... Bellerin . Chambers . Holding . Kolasinac ................... Elneny ........ Niles .................. ........................ Wilshere (c) ...................... ........... Iwobi ....................... Welbeck ....... ......................... Nketiah ............................
Wenger giving youth a chance. Wilshere on captain duties (future skipper or new deal?). Nice to see Eddy Nketiah starting. Lad has a good scoring pedigree and enjoys a good partnership with Iwobi. |

Ibime: My formation against Barca is 4-4-1 with Azpi as the 11th man with a brief to follow Messi anywhere he goes:
____________________Courtois
Moses____Christensen_____Rudiger______Alonso
Willian_______Kante_______Drinkwater_____Hazard
____________________Morata
Azpi as spare man to follow Messi everywhere.
We have no chance, but this is the best I can think of. 5-4-1 Recipe for disaster. Moses and Alonso will push up leaving young Christensen and calamity Rudiger to save your ass. |

chuckdee4: Been saying the same thing for a while now, this has come about as a result of a decline in our midfield. We used to boss teams in the middle of the park and win games even without a top notch striker, since Cazorla's injury we have become pants in the middle of the park, none of our midfielders can get into Spurs team (Think about that, SPURS!!!)
Anyway there is only one person who is to blame for the poor imbalance in the team, if the board have any balls they should serve Wenger his papers, time's up The problem is not with the defenders but the defense. Not the personnel but the system/structure. Every top team with good defence has a player dedicated to shielding the back four- Fernandinho, Matic, Diet, Kante etc. Back in the days we had certain Gilberto Silva. We used to have Coquelin, who played his best season in the role. Against Spurs, it was Elneny but he wasn't very efficient. He is only good at passing the ball accurately. Twice Kane, went between Koscielny and Mustafi for a free header. The second time it was a goal. This was because no one was tracking him, and the defenders had their eyes at a thousand different angles. If the old professor could look into his old notes, may be he could find a solution to our defence. |
