Romance / Re: 11 Of The Most Disgusting Things Guys Do In The Club by ssemire(f): 7:55pm On Jun 19, 2011 |
i really do not like going to clubs especially in nigeria. the ciggies the men puff in there is enough to suffocate one. and i don't like dancing in public except in church. i thinks that's why i have restricted myself to religious activities, works for me |
Romance / Re: The Ugly Side Of Confession by ssemire(f): 2:30am On Jun 12, 2011 |
@apocalypse the pastor was not a bad boy. i am not with a bad man/player. @coogar thanks for your words |
Romance / Re: The Ugly Side Of Confession by ssemire(f): 4:56pm On Jun 11, 2011 |
apocalypse:how my dear am I being a hypocrite. how will a honest lady be drawn to the flame of a player. my aunt got married to a pastor as a virgin but he has slept with more women after his marriage than he has slept with his wife. my friend's dad had another woman outside and his wife got to know about it 15years later when this outsider has had 2 kids for him and he had built his houses in her name and yet the woman at home was absolutely virtuous. there is no excitement in a long term commitment so I do not know what your argument is about. so how were these women were trying to eat their cake and have it? i think you need to go deeper in the search of the truth that haunt most men. they are highly irresponsible but hide under the 'I AM A MAN' cloak. why state the obvious? tell us something we do not know |
Romance / Re: She discovered her hubby is gay. by ssemire(f): 12:30pm On Jun 11, 2011 |
i have a friend that her husband is bi-sexual. when her hubby's 'best friend' comes to their house she sleeps in the guest room and best friend sleeps on the same bed with hubby. they have two children and she said it is her cross to carry. well, shiite happens. it is not my portion in life IJN |
Romance / Re: The Ugly Side Of Confession by ssemire(f): 11:38am On Jun 11, 2011 |
apocalypse: please i will appreciate if for once men are objective. you don't want a woman to cheat on you yet you do the same with pride. why is it that men have little respect for women? i am not saying cheating is healthy so don't get me wrong. |
Career / Re: Must Female Bankers Dress Loosely? by ssemire(f): 6:31pm On Jun 10, 2011 |
i do not think that bankers dress loosely just to seduce prospective clients. many of the ladies in the bank are more into oppressing themselves by trying to be the superior fashionista. it is very hard to see seductive dressing in sterling bank (alata bankers). skye bank ladies are conservative. i have a cousin that works in a bank in abuja. she doesn't wear trousers and all her skirts are knee length and free (no pencil skirt). but men still get seduced and stalk her. so i think it is a thing of the mind for men. leave the ladies alone. if i may ask honestly, what is the definition of indecency? cos my wearing tank top is viewed by some as me exposing. |
Family / Re: Heard Of "the Obedient Wife Club'? by ssemire(f): 5:47pm On Jun 10, 2011 |
Igonih: thank you very much. may your marriage be fruitful. men are so consumed with their ego that they find it hard to be reasonable. Nigerian men still live in the stone age |
Romance / Re: The Ugly Side Of Confession by ssemire(f): 5:40pm On Jun 10, 2011 |
never confess. believe me in the society we live in (Nigeria), men won't take it even if they are guilty of the same offence (silly twats IMO). and truth is don't do it close to your home. it is healthier that way. |
Romance / Re: Girls Of Now Adays Are Far Below Compared To Girls Of Old(our Mummy's Contemporaries) Why? by ssemire(f): 12:38pm On Jun 06, 2011 |
to be honest, i think men are usually quick to point out the many short-comings of women and believe they are eternally faultless. how many men these days can singlehandedly support their families without financial contribution from the woman? how many men these days are ready to marry a full time house wife? a woman works same number of hours in a day as a man yet you expect her to run back home, pick a riffle and go hunting. men expect so much from women and are not willing to give in the same measure. if the poster wishes to find a woman who will be hunting and farming for him, he should get on the time machine and back date his existence. as for me, my modern recipe for living works. |
Travel / Re: The Life Of An Ordinary Nigerian Student In The United Kingdom by ssemire(f): 1:19pm On May 31, 2011 |
I just finished my masters in UK and will be returning to Nigeria in august to start a job. My experience was not a funny one as a self sponsored student and believe they do not have job for you. if you want to travel with the belief that you will come here to work to support yourself, think twice about it. if you want to do masters, consider distance learning as you get the same certificate at the end of the study. all i know that UK is really over-rated (except for working facilities which you pay a lot for as well as the chicken and chips + burger ) 1 Like |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: My Embarrassing Interview Situations You Need To Learn From by ssemire(f): 11:33am On May 31, 2011 |
i had worked in a bank for 3 years before leaving for my masters in UK. I did an interview with macdonalds and was asked why i wanted to work with them. I gave the stupid reason of loving their food so much (which I don't) and the guy was like so you are more interested in having a free mac. well, the conversation ended and i didn't get home before I got the rejection mail |
Family / Re: Modern Marriages Vs Oldern Days(those Days) Marriages, Which Do U Prefer & Why? by ssemire(f): 10:26pm On Apr 09, 2011 |
dayokanu: my guy, if the financial burden should be shared 50-50, then you should also be ready to share the woman's "responsibilities" 50-50. you can't eat your cake and have it. men look for ways to make their lives easier but hardly ever think of how to make the woman's burden lighter. |
Education / Re: List Of The Top 10 Best Universities In Nigeria by ssemire(f): 11:37am On Apr 06, 2011 |
i beg to differ on the many negative comments about LASU. the last time i checked, they were going head to head with other schools in academic competition. The school has stepped up its game and is getting better so it deserves a rightful place. My cousin went to the school and I was impressed with his line of reasoning and articulation. please LASU should be on the list o |

it can be pretty dry in abuja till you get a hang of it. i lived there for more than a year. i was staying in games village so i think i enjoyed it there. u can hang out at hilton hotel, millenium park or sign up for something interesting. it depends on what you are doing there though and how much cash you have at your disposal. send me a mail on ssemire@yahoo.com |

Romance / Re: Can A Woman Beat Up A Man? by ssemire(f): 7:16pm On Dec 21, 2010 |
you guys crack me up. but the simple truth is that even if a guy thinks he can get away with beating a woman, he should just learn to be careful 'cos the woman will still definitely deal with him. |
Romance / Re: Can You Accept The Fact That your Wife Or Fiance Drinks Alchohol by ssemire(f): 6:50pm On Dec 21, 2010 |
i don't drink and i will not like to settle for a guy that drinks 'cos social drinking can one day change to something else when he can't handle the issues of life in a mature way. |
Romance / The Story Of A Desperate Naija Boy by ssemire(f): 6:37pm On Dec 21, 2010 |
i have this guy that is supposed to be my friend but i am having second thoughts about him now. when we met initially, i thought he was really level headed. we met in January and we became very close friends. we started hanging out a lot and got used to being seen together.after our year was up in the student accommodation we were staying, we moved into a 3 bedroom house together with a third person. on a dreadful day like that, he brought a chinese girl home and after the girl left around 12 midnight, i confronted him on why he had to bring a girl home seeing that it was not fair on me (though there was never any official asking out). he said that after all i wasn't his girlfriend. that he did not come to the UK to date another Nigerian girl and that he had to know what a non-nigerian a-r$e feels like. at the end of the day, he said this is the one time he has to hurt me as he has made up his mind. after chatting rubbish to the girl asking if she is a virgin (on the second day of meeting her) in a not-so-subtle manner, the girl told him off. he resorted to looking on dating websites like tagged to find girls. he eventually found one that gave him her number and the first thing he did was to give her the address of our place and the girl started asking him for plenty alcohol and drugs (he doesn't do drugs but the girl wants him to buy for her). now something of a drug overdose has happened to the girl and the police have started visiting our house. i really feel like ignoring him now since he was not even sensitive in the first place. i think it serves him right |
