Politics › Re: Nigerian Military Ranked 36th Globally, 4th In Africa By Firepower Index by sslcrypt: 10:12am On Mar 14, 2023
SmartPolician:
Whenever I see ranking, the first thing I think of is the criteria used to draw the list. Here, they stated it's firepower.

However, our experience with terrorism has shown that firepower is not enough. If you have the best military hardware and arms, but fifth columnists are working hard to undermine the military, you don't have an army.

That's why it took Nigeria over 12 years to stop terrorists detonating bombs in public places and killing Nigerians in their numbers. Jonathan even had to hire South African mercenaries to help in the fight.

I wish the ability to fight and defeat terrorists was the basis for rating military strength because terrorists are the most difficult enemies to fight and defeat. For me, if you haven't fought and defeated terrorist groups yet, you don't know your military capabilities yet.
This is the bane of the security issue in Nigeria. Nigeria have no active counterintelligence department and it's the reason why the war have lingered this long. Nations don't share intelligence again with Nigeria because of their none active or existence counterintelligence division from DSS to MIA. I can't give you information if the same information will get to some people that will put my guys and my nationals in danger. This current government that just won the election in Nigeria will make even more difficult to share intelligence with Nigeria.

Sometimes talk4all acts like a Child, how can a grown man knowing how well this forum is choose to still deal with people you don't know. Stupidity lead you to believe you can trust people on this forum just because you waste you time and days begging for crumbs. This betting is really destroying most of you in here, can't you listen to yourself? You left your state and travelled to another state just to sell phone? Who in the world does that? In the entire Benue you couldn't find a buyer for a used phone? I only study this thread from the side and will advice majority of you to stop deceiving yourselves and find something doing. You guys won't feel the affect of this destructive action now but when you start entering your late 30s and 40s is when the full effect will take place. There is no brotherhood here, don't deceive yourselves. All those loosing bets will only reinforce failures in real life.

Well you are entitled to your opinion, it's not a matter of who's do what in each other's land. You all always blow out the insignificant things. Prior to now I have attended many maritime conference and majority of Nigerians I see in those conference are of Igbo extraction. Now the argument is why is that a trade dominated by a tribe is now restricted to a region that isn't there's? This is the psychological prisoners setup, if your country and all it's leaders are honest with themselves they know the eastern and southern region ought to have seaports. I have never seen in my life a country with Soo much population locate a seaport in just one region, it is not done anywhere except Nigeria. So don't be fooled my friend, you can't have a large share in running a nations treasury while been denied the right to the political process. You want what's happening to die out? permits to produce seaport should be given to the southerner most region. Till this happens, you all are living in disillusion.

terrezo2002:
Gambling is winning the money lost by others. It is coveting what others have. It's greed that makes one venture into it.
There are some elements of truth in all you have said so far but a little bit of correction. Every bookies have a a designated amount set aside for making payments. The aim of the bookie is therefore to increase that capital set aside with little or no risk. This little or no risk comes in form the odds, the odds acts as the pull or the magnet for cash flow. When bets are placed the bookies know the potential loss from their end via the potential outcome. So total bets are calculated from each outcome along with the potential individual total payout. It's purely business for the bookies because a good percentage of the payout is bankrolled with their own capital. This venture is no different from stock markets trading, there is an aspect of stock or financial trading called spot trading. The concept of betting was born out of it, also there is a difference between betting and gambling. When you go into casino you are gambling, betting could come in different forms. Like infrastructure projects, you put up capital to develop a project with the anticipation that the project will yield good returns for the next couple of years. You bet on a tech company to produce a product that will sell for the next 3 to 5 years. In summary there is a rational angle to it, which most people who bet on sports totally ignore or acknowledge. Thank you
Politics › Re: Seyi Law Writes About What The 2023 Elections Have Taught Him. by sslcrypt: 5:39pm On Mar 05, 2023
What I have learnt from this election as a none Igbo and none Yoruba is that the Yorubas feel it's their birth right just like that northerners to rule by proxy. So this guy can take his personal opinion and shove it up his a******. It's a shame seeing other Yorubas insulting their own brothers that supported obi. Igbos are Nigerians also and also deserve the right to produce a president. Nigeria is a fragmented country that will crumble soon, so you all keep deceiving yourselves. If this country isn't ran in a regional manner with reduced power at the center, then it's bound to fail. I have lived in Nigeria to see the obvious failure as a country. My wife owns this account but I felt I should drop my opinion as a foreigner who have lived and still living in Nigeria. Very very sad

I am sadden by this situation but it's part of life. You win some you loose some, my prayer is that tinibu will work hard to protect us all and will be proactive. I guess he saw things from the sideline and couldn't do anything because he was sidelined by the henchmen of BUHARI. He's the president elect, let's all come together and support him. Although I don't believe we are one tho but let's keep managing each other for peace sake till a viable options is found.

Fut9ure:
Tinubu will never be our president

South west got no reason to claim anymore that they are the most educated...this election open their yansh well.

The four major contestants were from the three major tribe
So it means we the South South are the one to choose the most suitable for Nigeria without biased
And we did. We choose obi but due to tribalism the South west refused and supported a man who is sick mentally and physically...national anthem was going on he wasn't Aware

If you can't handover your daughter or sister for Marriage to a sick old man with dementia not physically and mentally fit. Some one not aware of his environment but still you want to support same man to head 220 million Nigeria at this point of our critical situation then may you and your family know no peace

If you are emotionally attached to your tribe, religion and political leaning to the point that the truth and justice becomes secondary consideration then your education is useless, your exposure is useless. If you cannot reason beyond petty sentiments. You are liability to man kind

Everyone should retweet and save this so that our future kids will know that at some point in the history of Nigeria we were caught in between the Devil( tinubu, atiku) and redemption( obi)
But the South west spoilt dragged us back because of tribalism
This election really opened my eyes, I been wronged by the Igbos before on business deals so held that grudge but this election shocked me to the bone. The actions of the Yorubas was disappointing, they went as far as tagging their own people who voted obi traitors and all sought of names in their dialect. Now I understand clearer when a mutual friend said never mix or draw a Yoruba close before you might end up with Short end of the stick. This election brought out the obvious suppression of the Igbos, it was so clear and obvious. I pray God helps Nigerians heal.

This thread is full of vile and pretense individuals. Election periods are always the true reflection of a man's character because it brings out the deepest part of their heart. I observe some of you on here have been on this thread year in year out, but don't want actual change and the election brought out the true bigotry nature. This behavior can also been seen when someone is on a rollover quest or winning streak. Now the question is what is it that really bring you guys together? Crumbs? Honest means to collaborate to win? Or others? The few people honestly sharing their games are the true guys on here, because I can imagine the time put into producing such games.
There are many of football threads from punters lodge to Btfair and many others which you actually see honest collaboration amongst them. In summary don't be disillusioned about your future and existence in life, it's one thing when your life have a meaning and you making small steady progress. While it's a whole different ball game when there's obvious signs you depending on an illusion to make a breakthrough in life but are bigot and hypocrite to the core.
Also please mesmer stop the culture of rewarding where no labor was put in. Gentlepeace you are a smart guy but please reconsider rewarding where no work is done.
You guys can now take the floor and say all you want it won't still change the fact stated already.
