Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by sslooss: 5:42pm On Jan 19, 2023
Good afternoon everyone, please I need advice.

My parents want to travel to the US to attend my sister's graduation. How would they book a group appointment? I know they have to both have separate DS-160s filled, but the us website in Nigeria says there is no more group appointments. Please can anyone advise on how my parents can book an appointment so they get interviewed together?

Thank you.

Hi, please how were you able to choose your date for the Emergency interview, I didn’t see that option?

When my EA request was approved, new dates showed up on the platform.

How did you switch to Abuja?

Did you fill another DS160 form?

Was the Emergency appointment approved?

I need urgent help please it's over two weeks for me no response from them

I cancelled my Lagos appointment first, then booked regular appointment in Abuja, then requested for emergency appointment.

Yes I filled a new DS160 for Abuja then updated it on my CGI profile.

Yes my EA was approved. They responded after 6 days (weekend included)

Please are you sure about this ?
I’m in this dilemma
I canceled my Lagos and I didn’t see any emergency request in Abuja
I have not moved forward cos I don’t know what to do.
How did you go about it ?
The dates I saw in Abuja are in November/December

Before you can see the emergency request tab, you will need to book regular appointment first then the emergency request tab would come up.

And you use the same MRV to book for Abuja after cancelling the regular appointment booking for Lagos?

Yes, I did.

Before you switched to Abuja did you cancel the emergency appointment in Lagos?

I just cancelled my regular appointment booking, I think that also automatically cancels my emergency appointment request in Lagos

I'm in the same dilemma, I also applied since 28th of June and haven't heard back. I wanted to cancel and move appointment to Abuja but it says I will have to pay another MRV fee and I have never cancelled or rescheduled before.. I'm confused.

You won't have to pay another MRV fee if you only booked one interview date so far and have not rescheduled. I was also in the same situation; I had booked emergency appointment in Lagos but received no response even after 2 weeks. I was able to switch to Abuja with the same MRV fee and still book for emergency appointment. We get two bookings with each MRV fee.

If you haven’t canceled before, you can do that just once. That prompt is generic. I got that too when I wanted to reschedule mine from Lagos to Abuja. But I still went ahead and I didn’t have to pay any MRV fee

I already pick October 14 as date of my appointment. Should i request for emergency appointment or I should just leave it and just go for the appointment on the appointed date. Just as said earlier my admission has been deferred till next year Jan. All I just want to know is that can I just stay by the appointment date without changing anything on my Visa application or ds 160. So that I will not be ask questions on that day that but your admission has expired. Is that I will just tell them it was referred to Jan with the new i20 and admission letter.

You should fill a new DS-160 with your new program start date. Then add that ds-160 number to your cgi profile, in the 'update profile' tab.

Hello, I am 24, having my Bsc. in Computer science (2:1). I want to enroll for an international scholarship for masters degree.

Please I need your assistance on the following:
- What do I need to be eligible for application?
- How do I go about the needs?
- What are the chances of getting a study visa?

Await your responses. Thank you.

You should check out EducationUSA's website, they provide students with information about applying to universities, getting scholarships/assistantships and the visa process. Also they hold free counselling session on Wednesdays, which you have to register for.

Thank you, should the date of refusal be added too?
makano:
It's better you tell them the actual truth, tell them the exact reasons why you were refused previous Schenfen visa without adding to it or subtracting from it, if there is space on the form for you to give the detailed explanations, you can go ahead. But if not, just let them know you have been refused visa in another country, and give a detailed explanation in your LOE... Peace.

Good afternoon everyone,

What details should be provided to explain previous Schengen study visa denial in the imm1294e form for the question 'Have you ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country or territory?'

Thank you!

Please can someone advise on this

I am applying for my study permit online but I am confused about something.

I found this 'Application for Temporary Entry to Canada' form and student visa questionnaire in the 'Study Permit Lagos Visa Office Instructions' document. Am I supposed to fill it, scan and upload to my online application? or it is only for paper-based applications?

Thank you.

Greetings Everyone,

I completed some undergraduate courses in Canada but I would like to transfer my course credits to a university in the US. I have already spoken with some universities, who confirmed that the transfer process is fairly straightforward, so my main concern is the F1 visa interview. Does anyone have similar experience and can advise on this matter?

Thank you.
