Please do not.

The last time someone asked me for some advice on freelancing, I gave him freely, only for him to return here to insult me on another thread roundly. Another one, I gave materials FOR FREE. Even to say "thank you", till today he did not.

I have learned my lessons. Nobody taught me. I learned all I learned the hard way and today it is paying me. Let every man go and find for himself what can put food on his table.

Alternate account indeed. I have been here since 2009 and I don't need no alternate account to prove anything. What is the meaning of the word "scammer"? You cannot just label someone a scammer without proof that he stole your money or duped you.

I have personally made more than $70,000 from one of these sites and counting, with assets to show. My first freelance income was earned when half the world did not even know what it was. Attended the very first freelance seminar held by Elance in Victoria Island, Lagos in 2011 when I was already 2 years in the game. I know the potentials here. I have used it to make my brand a global brand with clients in Cyprus, Russia, UK, you name it.

Go get a life.

It is actually a hard job which only mechanization can make much easier. But with tractors going for as much as N12.5m and the hand-pushed tillers costing as much as N400,000, what is the way forward? Certain farm tasks have to be done by hand.

I think it is the one leading into Gwags itself itself. Pass it for about 500 m while still on the express. There is some sort of park in that area. The Premier Seeds depot is a bit hidden. You may have to ask questions if unsure.

That's not the original N1 note. This is the new colour issued by Buhari in 1984 to checkmate all the money politicians of that era were hiding in cartons and inside their caps. The original N1 note was pure red in colour.

Pre 1984: N5 note was green, the colour of the pre-polymer N20 note.
N1 note was red, the colour of the post 1984, pre-polymer N10 note.
N20 was the colour of the pre-1984 N1 note.

I saw these notes in my dad's wallet as a kid. The highest I ever handled as a 7 year old was N1 which was given to me by one of my dad's friends. Of course, my parents "kept" the money for me as it was too much money for a 7 year old back then.

OP, there was a 25 kobo coin if I am not mistaken.

SportsRe: NFF Set To Hire Foreign Goalkeeper Trainer by stagger: 10:42am On Jul 20, 2017
Nigeria has never had a problem with goalkeepers. From Ibiam to Fregene, to the Okala brothers, Best Ogedegbe, Raymond King, Etta Egbe, Ituen Ibanga, Christian Obi, Peter Rufai, Willy Opara, Victor Okoh, David Ngodigha, Lemmy Isah the smiling Cat, Andrew Ikeji, Emeka Amadi. Ndubuisi Egbo, Murphy Akanji, Andrew Aikhomogbe, etc. The list is endless. These guys are all alive and kicking (except the Okala brothers , Ibiam, Ogedegbe and Fregene).

Why on earth do we need to hire a foreign goalkeeper trainer? The reason why Germany is world champion in various categories is because they develop home grown talent. Sepp Meier trained Oliver Kahn at Bayern Munich and the national team. Are we saying we do not have former goalkeepers of yesteryears who can do the job with some little brush up technical courses?

WTH!

I will give you the breakdown for Maize.

Per Hectare

Land clearing 60,000 Naira
Mulching. 50,000 Naira
Ploughing. 15,000 Naira
Harrowing. 15,000 Naira
Planting. 5,000 Naira
Seeds. 66,000 Naira (Pioneer)
Herbicides. 50,000 Naira
Herbicide application 5,000 Naira x 2
Insecticide 75,000 Naira
Insecticide application 5,000 Naira x 3
Fertilizer 80,000 Naira
Fertilizer application 5,000 Naira x 2
Fungicides 50,000 Naira
Fungicide application 5000 Naira x 2
Field Scouting 2,500 Naira x 4

Total Cost 521,000 Naira

Note that in year two, cost of clearing and mulching will be zero.

Expected yield 8-12 tons per hectare.

Price of Maize per ton = 120,000

Projected Revenue. = 960,000 - 1,440,000 Naira.

Minimum cultivation = 100 hectares

Note that the yield is not guaranteed , but with best agronomical practice and the grace of the good Lord, it is certainly possible.

You can only get such yield with a Pioneer seeds and not any Oba Super million! in the market.

The breakdown is only useful if you want to put in your money without owning any equipments.

Alternatively, if you are only investing the land, then the cost to us will be different and we are going to have a minimum of 10 years agreement, bring our own equipments to station on the farm permanently and build a farm house and silos. The cost implications for this model is far more than just the operational expenses listed above.
Are you farming on the moon? N521,000 to setup a hectare of maize? Smething I just did on a heavily stumpy land which had been fallow for close to 6 years? Unbelievable!

Hello all,
I have launched a Content Agency and need to get 2 writers to join my team. Articles will focus strictly on forex, binary options and cryptocurrencies. By God's grace, I have industry-level certifications so I am expanding my reach globally. I presently have much work, so much work.

The Rules
a) You need to be able to read about a subject before you write.
b) No word padding. Write straight to the point and adhere STRICTLY to instructions.
c) Keep to deadlines. No excuses of "no light, my gen spoilt, my computer went on leave", etc. I dey for Naija too with all the problems around.
d) If you cannot write in good English, please forget it. I cannot be correcting tenses and spellings at this level. Yes, English is not your native language, but neither is it mine. I learned to speak two Nigerian languages before I learned to speak and write English.
e) I will administer a writing test which will check your quality and ability to keep to deadlines. That is the basis of selection.

I presently have a project on ground for which I can pay N1,500 (minimum) for 1,000 words, up to N2,000 (maximum) for 1000 words. What you get paid within this range depends on how well you write and how much of corrections I make. Some of my past experiences are that I have had to make boat loads of corrections on articles, which negates the whole essence.

Some jobs will be reports (up to 10,000 words) where pay is done for the whole job. If you are indeed very good, I can make you my guest post writer in which case, you can walk away with as much as N10,000 - N20,000 for a 1,500-word piece.

I currently have capacity to award up to 30 articles a month. I have guys who have made between N50,000 and N100,000 a month writing for me. For small projects, I pay from my pocket. For large ones, I pay after the client releases the payment. Some of these clients I have maintained for 9 years, so payment is NEVER an issue.

You will not be a millionaire writing for me, but at least, you will be able to pay some basic bills.

Are you interested? Send a message to dankrabb at gmail dot com indicating your interest. If you have worked for me before and you are still interested, you can also holla (you will get preference over others).

Most people also seem to forget that companies like Oando lost money during this time. Crude oil prices collapsed between Late 2014 and 2016 and have still not recovered. At a point when the Avengers were in full operation, Nigeria was struggling to produce 750,000 barrels a day. It was that bad.

So how could Boris Becker have expected to make any money in the upstream oil sector?

There are loads of thriving German companies he could have invested in:

- Deutsche Bank which is the largest liquidity provider in the forex market
- Deutsche Telekom
- He could even have bought a huge stake in Julius Berger Nigeria.

I also do not know why he and Barbara divorced. They looked a beautiful couple together.

skilldammy2:
THE TRUTH ABOUT COCOA FARMING IN NIGERIA

I have seen so many posts on the internet, specifically nairaland of how to make so so so profit or millions from cocoa cultivation after 18months. Thats on book! It's not realistic anywhere in Nigeria. There is a huge difference between fruiting of cocoa tree and harvesting of cocoa pods

Sometimes, I keep wondering why people think tree crops farming such as cocoa farming is as easy as buying and selling pure water on the street....Many of the new cocoa farmers keep coming to our office explaining how they have lost millions of naira based on the statistics and information given by theoretical farmers on the internet, most especially on nairaland and you can easily spot this in their write ups.

The truth is that, the real cocoa farmers don't even have time to come online not to talk of having time to be typing lengthening words about how you can make millions from cocoa farming because most of them are illiterates and those that are literate are busy looking for how to increase their yield and also expand their cocoa farm.

From my experience in cocoa farming coupled with my background in Agricultural Economics. No one can break-even with pure cocoa farming even in 5 years considering both the operating and capital costs depending on the hectarage of land.

Presently, i work with the department of Tree crops in Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture and have consulted for so many cocoa farms but I'm yet to see any one break-even in 5 years not to talk of 18 months or 3 years that most of our "book farmers" and also cocoa seedlings seller will told you.

Have come to realised that some don't even know how to determine if cultivating a tree crops such as cocoa is profitable not to talk of preparing the cash flow analysis. The bitter truth is if you use only book or information on internet to start your cocoa farm you will also harvest your cocoa inside the book and on internet.

There are so many economic analytic tools you can used to actually determine if investing in cocoa farming warrant a monetary investment and part of it is the break-even analysis, benefit cost ratio, internal rate of return, net present value and profitability index. Each economic tool served a unique purpose with interpretation.

For those interested in investing in cocoa farming, i will advice you carry out your feasibility studies within the geographical location you intend to set up your cocoa farm (on the field) not on the internet, then sit down and prepare a comprehensive business plan for your cocoa farm before you venture into it.

However, you must note the following:

- Don't ever plan to cultivate cocoa farm on a family land or rent land.......You will regret that decision later.

- If you are looking for a quick money return business...dont go in to cocoa farming.

- Don't borrow money from bank to start a cocoa farm. You will regret it.

- If you don't have at least little passion for farming don't go into cocoa farming at all.

You must however note that planting cocoa tree is like planting money because Its not just a farm but an asset that will outlast someone's life time.

You can contact me on 08123916545 for any advice on Tree crops such as cocoa, cashew, citrus, oil palm etc.

Thanks
So from the bolded, can you be classified as a "real" cocoa farmer? You are online and your post was indeed very long! cheesy cheesy cheesy

I get your point anyway. There is a big difference from paper calculations and what obtains in the field. Besides, cocoa does not attain peak production in the first 5 years.
