Please I need help o. I need a drip irrigation kit for 1 hectare of land. I will be doing a maize demonstration and later switch to ugu farming when the maize is done. Most of my farming in the past was done in the south where there was rainfall all year round, but now I am mostly based in the north, this will be my first venture into irrigation farming. Can we communicate off thread?

Here in Nasarawa state, there have been only 3 rains this year: 2 of them in March, and one that fell yesterday 2/5/2015. I am sinking a borehole in my farm location because the paucity of rain combined with the announcement on radio by NIMET I heard in March is going to make this an unstable season for rain-fed farming.

AG was my first church in this world. The way they celebrate poverty and yet tax their members with appeals for offering was one reason I left for good. Vitalis Nwachukwu who was virtually a self-made millonaire while an AG pastor was demonized and subjected to public ridicule. Thank God for bishop Oyedepo who came with God's word that challenged this poverty mentality churches like AG have carried for years.

It is common knowledge that pastors in AG are so badly paid that members virtually have to cater for eve the most basic of needs. Outsiders like this fellow here know nothing of this.

My wife says I should be greeting her each time I finish eating, if not for anything but for the sake that she take her time prepare the food and serve me. She says that she deserves a greeting from me.

I said okay, just that it is not part of our culture and I don't think I will be keep up greeting her each time she gives me food.

It is not that greeting her will reduce anything from me but the issue is that I don't usually remember this greeting after eating because it is not part of me, although I do greet sometimes for peace to reign, but the way she reminds me of this greeting of a thing gets me angry, as if it is mandatory or something to the extent that sometimes we've had issues because of it.

So daddies and mummies in the house, do you greet your wife after she has given you food? Or do your husband greet you after eating? If yes is it a mandate or just for fun?

Please let me remind you that this is not the issue of been a breadwinner or not. I beg you to forgive my long story and wrong grammer for I am not a grammerian.

In February, I had to cough out an extra 13k to reschedule a 6.50am flight to 10:35am because I got to the airport at 6:25am instead of 6:10am. The flight eventually left at 7:10am. There was nothing I didn't tell them.....the guys refused to budge despite me reminding them of delaying me on an evening flight by over 2 hours in December 2014 without compensation or apology.

Violence is not the way to go though. I pity those injured and wish the matter can be channeled properly so they can be sanctioned appropriately.

OP,

laudable project you have here. But you do realize that Tesla has just launched its Tesla Powerwall which will cost $3,500 for a 10kva battery which can be charged overnight on solar power or electricity (cost of panel not included) once it goes on sale in August. This will challenge your solutions seriously in terms of price and portability (30 batteries in one house?).

So what are you going to do about this? I am talking as a long terms investor. I have some pieces of land in a town where there is a federal polytechnic and I will be investing in solar solutions to power the hostels I will build. I am a forward thinking person but I only go ahead with such projects at the best price.

What are the prices for your solar solutions?

For your info. IGP is not based on seniority.

DIGs are seniors to AIGs.

Solomon was a DIG while Suleiman was an AIG.

GEJ appointed Suleiman (AIG) as the IGP even though we have about 7 DIGs. The next man in rank to the IGP is usually the DIG(Admin) but DIGs(Admin) are rarely made IGPs.

But like I said earlier, IGP appointment is not based on Seniority that is why being a DIG doesn't make you the next IGP

Then why were the 7 DIGs who were now made Suleiman's juniors not retired and other AIGs promoted to take their place as is the custom? GEJ just turned things upside down.

I wonder how long it is taking this guy to come up with a price. Do I order it from the company direct or what? I think their maximum size is for 2,000 square metres. Which means I need to buy 5 units to cover one hectare.

What is the cost for 10,000 square meters (1 hectare)? I need to get something like this.

We are entering May and only 2 rains for the year in Nasarawa. Also heard something from the weather people that the rainy season this year will be shorter, so can't afford to take chances.

D route he took is shorter. From minna to Lagos via Bida-Mokwa- Jebba- Kwara axis to Lagos is approx 6hrs by road.
Yes I plied dat route severally as a corper. On a particular occasion, my taxi left kpakungu (minna) by 7.15am & by 2.30pm, I was by Redeeem camp. Mind u, we stopped over Jebba 2 eat, bot fuel, little hold up at ibadan-Lag xpress rd etc.

Can you tell us the state of the Bida-Mokwa-Jebba road?

Lagos to Abuja by road is 12 hours complete, passing through Lagos to Ibadan, then to the Ilesha-Ife road all the way to Akure (via FUTA junction), to Okpella, Okene, Lokoja and then the FCT. I have driven it myself so I can tell you that 9 hours cannot cut it.

The guy should have documented his journey. Im no get camera phone?
