A plane carrying a Brazilian football club Chapecoense
has reportedly crashed in Colombia, BBC reports.
According to the reports, the flight was transporting the
team to Medellin airport when it disappeared off radar.

It is thought to have come down in Cerro Gordo in the
municipality of La Union

At least 10 people have been injured and are being
evacuated from the scene, the commander of La Union
fire department said.
Chapecoense are thought to have been heading to the
final of the South American football championship.
The team was due to play in the final against Medellin
team Atletico Nacional but the final has now been
suspended. The video below shows the team
celebrating their qualification to the final.
Medellin’s Mayor Federico Gutierrez described it as “a
tragedy of huge proportions” , but added it was possible
there were survivors. Earlier in the day, the club posted
a picture of the team after boarding the flight.
