One love! (no homo) What's in his comment? That's like quoting constitution or Bible to a victim who has just been victimized and came to report to you(an authority). I am talking the harsh reality on ground and logic that will help us overcome it, not quoting rules that aren't being followed by even it maker. So grow some IQ yourself and stop vibrating on hopeless hope. |

Wike wants us to believe cult members killed all those APC men and their family members. It shows why PDP is still clinging onto the SS/SE as its fertile rigging ground. They are easily manipulated in that part of the country. |

LordVarys: Yushau Shuaib is one of Nigeria's most respected journalists and PR Professionals and was a Buhari supporter when it wasn't even cool to be one. Dasuki's case is clearly one of giving a dog a bad name to hang him, if he's guilty of whatever he is accused of, he should be forth rightly charged and his rights respected but this daily trend of media trials, faux allegations and continued detention despite multiple court orders only point to a deep seated vendetta. One day Buhari would leave that seat and we would hear the other side of the story. Yar'Adua hounded ElRufai and Ribadu because he felt they were threats. Jonathan hounded Ibori, Sylva and Amaechi. Buhari is facing Dasuki. Ok. I hear u. |

This isn't Fashola's fault. Someone(an Ineffectual Buffon) oversaw the privatization process and has allowed the DISCOs too much power. The best Fashola can do is see to the distribution of prepaid metres. With prepaid metres the DISCOs no longer get to drop randomly inflated amounts as bills. That way their only hope of making killer profit is to provide more power. The IB needs serious flogging for his I-don't-care attitude. |

socialmediaman: From your analogy, it is cheaper to do business in India than Nigeria, but note also that corporate tax rate is lower in Nigeria (30%) than India (33%), plus being an evolving economy, Nigeria is seen as a place with much potentials of reaping high investment profits within a short period of time... Especially with the absence of credit facilities that could encourage stiff competition among investors... (which is government's fault anyway) Stop telling lies. Where did i say it is easier to do biz in india? Give up ur argument supporting more tax. Investors are force to do so much on their own. The govt should take loans and provide amenities first, it doesn't have to be the masses who make unfair sacrifices |

Politics › Re: Obiano Lauds Obi Over Financial Prudence by Standing5(m): 1:10pm On Mar 29, 2016 |
maike404: Obiano lauds Obi over financial prudence Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State at the 5th Annual Chief Judge’s Dinner and Award Night in Awka over the weekend received a standing ovation for praising his predecessor, Mr Peter Obi, over his financial prudence and management which saved the state from economic crunch in the comity of other states. Obiano insisted that former Governor Obi was never a rascal in any way in office against what the governor called ‘online urchins’ painting Obi in bad light. He added that had Obi done otherwise with the finances of the state, he would have been handicapped in office and would not have been among the league of states begging for bail-out to pay salaries. Obiano, who muted his intention to contest for a second term in office to be able to turn Anambra around having done marvellously in the last two years, appealed to the Chief Judge of the state, Hon Justice Peter N.C Umeadi, to assist his government increase its IGR by dedicating some judges to try offenders. His jokes lightened up the night even as he commended the members of the Bar and Bench for being the best in Nigeria, promising that once IGR jerks to N2.2 billion, the welfare of workers would be increased across boards. Obi or Buhari? Let him tell us how Obi's prudence saved the state. To me Buhari's prudence did. The case of Borno governor who confessed the state allocation went from N4.6B to N2.6B when oil prices slide from $108 to $30 per barrel is testimony to Buhari's prudence and i know allocation has a fixed formular so what affects Borno affects Anambra. In summary with a 88%+ decrease in earningover 2 years period, the state only felt a 43% decrease in allocation. That sqeaks volume so i like to here Obi's prudence helped the state too. |

londoner: Can someone explain how the 300,000 Meters will improve the supply of electricity? Thanks. The meters will ensure you pay for only power u use as against the current practice of estimated biliing where your bill is constant irrespective of the power you consume. The discos prefer to supply as little power as possible so they can keep getting their usual charge. The release of prepaid meter will put a stop to that and ensure you and I get more power becos the only way the DISCOs can maximize profit will now be to supply more power. |
