Shut up and face the challenges of leadership.

True leaders are fashioned and honed in the firery cauldrons of great challenges and disasters.

Enough of this Cry Baby nonsense.

If you are not up to the challenge, kindly do the honourable thing and step aside.

Who are the elites?

Are you not part of the elites?
We're you not the one that destroyed our second republic democracy with your inordinate ambition ?

Since you committed treason against the Nigerian state in 1983, has anything in Nigeria gotten better ?

Just shut up , stop the juvenile blame game and get to work on what Nigerians elected you to do.
Fear inspired ranting. I understand it all.

Wailers be recycling distorted shítty articles and interview. GEJ openly confessed to budget malpractice being in existence since 2007 that's some 9 year earlier
The interviewer skillfully dodged the systemic reforms made so far to attack Buhari fight against corruption. TSA, efficiency unit, reduction in ministry.

Common sense is dead in that North oh. So rape in south justifies abduction of minors from south. How does the crime of an isolated gang in Ebonyi justifies the support of sharia 'cults' & Emirs for Islamist crimes and criminals? We have a group who forces themselves on the people 'constitutionally' and another who have no cover. The OP is feigning stupídìty here.

PDP and GEJ räped this country to a standstill. See rapìng, 3 trillion would have gone ahead to fund 1 million units of N3million ventures. It could av been a house, a car to employ a commercial driver, a small business, a scholarship. Now i hope wailers can see why Buhari can't close his eyes to N5trillion when the system is need of money.

Politics › Re: Oil And Gas Exploration To Begin In North-East – Buhari by Standing5(m): 12:18pm On Mar 15, 2016
Lie
jaybee:
Understand the oil industry, government only facilitates the business. the oil companies spends their money and bears the risks in anticipation of huge profits if oil is found. Tax payers' money is not used for exploration. in fact government makes money whether there is oil and gas find or not, because the licenses and permits for exploration are costly (some in the range of tens to hundreds of millions of dollars) and non refundable. owners of licenses and leases have strict work program obligations to fulfill within stipulated times, or the oil blocks are revoked due to non-performance.

If you are attentive, you will notice that some aides of former president GEJ are being prosecuted for spending money from the signature bonus account in the CBN, those are monies from licensing oil blocks.
Politics › Re: Oil And Gas Exploration To Begin In North-East – Buhari by Standing5(m): 11:25am On Mar 15, 2016
jaybee:
Your lack of understanding issues is surely legendary.

Tell show me how oil exploration hinders agriculture [/b]

Also tell me how oil and gas exploration makes Nigeria dependent on export proceeds.

Notice that you said "boost forex" that means there is forex already (surely from oil and gas) which is to be given the boost. You did not say replace, but boost.

Dangote is building a 165,000 bpd refinery to be commissioned in 2018. If there is no exploration how much cassava, cocoa, chicken, cashew, palm oil, yams (baring in mind yam eaters), rice, pepper, tomatoes, snails, fish, groundnuts, sesame, cucumber, etc, etc, etc, etc, would be exported to buy crude oil to refine and sell to motorists in Nigeria?

How much gas will be imported to service the many gas power plants to supply electricity in Nigeria?

just think a bit more and you will discover that you are just clever by half.
Time and money used for oil exploration could av been used for agriculture. Stop feigning stupidìty here. It isn't funny. Plus oil exploration has gulped trillions without results. It is a gamble.
Politics › Re: Oil And Gas Exploration To Begin In North-East – Buhari by Standing5(m): 10:55am On Mar 15, 2016
jaybee:
Pathetic. Pathetic indeed.

Most comments on this thread make a f00l of Nigerian youths.

Just think of it.

What is 'diversification'? what does of mean in the context of Nigeria's economy?

Does it meat jettisoning what you have (in this case oil and gas), while embracing what you don't have (like the proverbial, and improperly defined, agriculture; mining, etc) ?

To understand 'diversification', all you need is to define it. Any dictionary should provide such definition. Diversification is simply the act of introducing a variety (in our case, in investments, and production of goods and services); instead of investing mainly in the oil and gas. it does not connote zero investment in oil and gas and 100% investment in other sectors. Remember that Nigeria already has huge investments in oil and gas to leverage on. After all have you ever heard that a bird at hand is worth two in the air?

The concern on timing for investment in oil and gas exploration in Nigeria now is highly misplaced and shows ineptitude of the highest order, if not outright mischief. Just think of it, the crude oil being produced Nigeria today (which was sold as high as $146 in the recent past), at what price was crude oil when the exploration was done? The exploration was undertaken in the 80s and early 90s (oil exploration and production is a long gestation investment) when crude oil was at its lowest around $9 - $14. This is a good time to invest when the price is low and the cost of exploration is also low. When the price rises, the cost of exploration will be high and making the investment decision will become more difficult. it makes economic sense.

Finally is the money for this so-called frontier exploration in the budget? this i strongly doubt. If it is there, someone should please show, not tell me. Which means as usual, government only facilitates these activities, and does not really put in tax payers' money directly into it. Mostly, the investors put in their heard-earned hard currency and takes all the risks in anticipation of commercial hydrocarbon discoveries that would permit them to recover their money in a long time in the future.
the Problem u subtly failed to acknowlege about your argument is that it involve dependence on export proceeds. Agriculture helps secure you table with food. And can also generate forex. Industry help keep capital flight in check and boost forex too. It is super-foølish to go into further oil exploration now.

Smh at your foolhardiness! S.Arabia, UAE, Qarter are all desert wastelands but oil rich, now how is their economy? Can you compare them with Congo that have vast arable jungle? Even the South is doing well in terms of Agriculture, industry, education, human resources, access to sea etc! Stop deciev'n yourself, North will be impoverished as a country!
Your ignorance is frighthening indeed. Have you heard about white farmers policy of most African nations like Zimbabwe, Gambia, Zambia, SA? It involves white farmers from Britain, Netherlands, Portugal, and other advanced nation sending trained citizens to those African countries to practise mechanise farming inorder to export back to their countries. Keep massaging your own ego forcefully. It changer nothing. The advance nations you mentioned up there where able to hold on so far because of their diversificavion during the days of abundance. Russia Saudi Arabia and co are in tight corners already. Your may need to research the term "urban farming"

You know perception of other's level of sharpness a function of one's brain. So you can carry on with the Dullard and Dullardino thingy.
Politics › Re: Provide Pre-paid Meters To Nigerians Now, FG Orders Discos by Standing5(m): 8:52am On Mar 15, 2016
odeotito:
Here's hoping this goes beyond talk! A Staff of The Customer Care Unit of the IBEDC a DISCO asks at a meeting why the prepaid metre due in 45 days is still been awaited 4 months after and she gets queried! The generation of the first line managers who ruined phcn with corruption and misappropriation are still embedded in the Discos and need to be rooted out if we must make progress in that sector.
Imagine that. They are same people orchestrating the inflation of bills in order to rip the system. What will Fashola do about these guys? One condition to get prepaid meter is to clear outstanding postpaid bills, which has been inflated already. Imagine your meter reading total of 5000kwh when you have paid total of N80,000 plus and they still giving you a bill of N100,000 plus for a four year old house/meter.
Politics › Re: Provide Pre-paid Meters To Nigerians Now, FG Orders Discos by Standing5(m): 8:37am On Mar 15, 2016
This has been one big missing links. I av tasted the prepaid meter and currently tasting the manipulation of the postpaid meter. They simply look at your size, tribe, house size among other pointer of your financial strength and fix you a high price. From what I understand one has to clear the oustanding outrageous bills to switch over to prepaid meter. What will Fashola do about people in this situation? I hope they don't try something stupid.

Your IQ & level of education is obviously limited in scope! Your population is said to be in excess of 80 million, about 10 million are destitutes that beg for a living, a staggering over 75% lives below poverty & the populace are largely illiterates with very basic skills to operate.
Level of education and IQ low? You must be kidding. Keep parading your worthless oil. The North has her most basic needs catered for, it is the south who depends on them. Go read about USA's recession of the 1930 thereabout. It got to a stage the farmers where virtually the onlx ones having good enuf meal. Some people were ready to serve the farmers in various capacity but were rejected as the skill and product they offered weren't critical to survival. You still behind the North in terms of dependence on other region. Apply your IQ and education, then google ''the great depression in America'' and then read it up.
