Where is the apparatus to transmit the 12 GigaWatt? He should be ready to float his own country in order to build transmission lines and have people use his generated power.
Funny enough, i just finished reading how india is getting solar power at less than N20 per KiloWatt-Hour. Nigeria is still trying to make the suffering customers mercy-pay or mercy-fund power plants and transmission lind projects. |

Will she help in enforcing the blockage of alternatives to local goods being smuggled through the Nigerian costum service nose also? Can she sparehead provision of electrical power and check vandalism of the power supply apparatus? Can she see to the distribution of fertilizers to farmers? She maybe able to collate data and point out to the govt that it is spending too much on recurrent expenses, or help analyse financial positions of the govt. |
Politics › Re: Nigeria: The Economic Upside- Kemi Adeosun by Standing5(m): 7:14pm On Mar 07, 2016 |
All the populace demands from the govt in order to buy into such idea is accountability and technical support. How do you tell a man to start producing toothpick or packaging chicken when cheaper alternative is being smuggled and lack of systemic support like roads, subsidy, water, electricity being enjoyed by foreign produces are helping them keep cost down? The task goes beyond the minister and Nigerian producers. The govt must block smuggled alternatives, subsidized things being subsidized in other countries, provide good road network, electricity, water and expertise. These things goes beyond the minister of finance. The govt must step up first before the populace can step up their productivity. |

Politics › Re: 2015 Election: Top 10 Indications APC Wasn't Ready To Rule Nigeria by Standing5(m): 3:56pm On Mar 07, 2016 |
uche87: It’s been over 8 months since former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan of the People's Democratic Party handed-over the mantle of leadership to President Muhammadu Buhari on the 29th of May, 2015 and Nigerians are still waiting for the 'change' marred with failed campaign promises.
The significance of the ruling party metaphorically 'eating its words' to stay alive in the face of the cash crunch speaks volume of the party's lack of readiness to rule Nigeria but only to secure political power willy-nilly.
Below are some stringent indications the APC was never prepared to rule the country:
(1) Appointment of Ministers:
It took President Muhammadu Buhari 5 good months to appoint his cabinet members. His excuse was that his administration was trying to estimate the state of all the government ministries. We all patiently waited for the 'angelic Ministers' of change until he presented some regular politicians with tainted names. His lateness in the appointment of Ministers laid the foundation for the hush-hush preparation of the 2016 appropriation bill that stirred up controversies.
(2) Economic downturn:
During the twilight of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan's administration, the price of oil in the international market started falling. The price per barrel stood at $50 with Economic Analysts predicting an all time low value but Nigeria's political messiah, APC developed no contingency plan to turn the economy around in the face of the economic crisis and it will shock you that Buhari's budget of N6.08 trillion betrays the principle of cutting one's coat according to his size. How did GEJ plan to turn the economy around. He was planning on increasing TAX, stopping amnesty, and selling NNPC in addition to borrowing. How is that better APC blocking of leakages that has helped reduce borrowing rate, while avoiding the hardship more TAX, Amnesty cancellation, and NNPC sale would av brought us? Keep typing half-baked stuff up there. |

A7: The first nth pages of google search results about rape here in Nigeria is filled with pastors raping minors, other peoples wives and their daughters and sons.
Cases of defilement by pastors for this year alone far outweights the total number of rape cases in the history of the north.
When we add up baby factories, compound perverts, cultists, prowlers, and other rapists ranging from school teachers, lecturers, diurnal ambushers, the only country that can par with southern nigeria is india. Your very stùpid post explains your character and mindset. So you try to pin this back on the victims. If truly the southern are more quilty of abusing minors why is VVF prevalent in the North and hardly existing in the south? You think Sharia court support equates to god's will. |

Mcbussy: That's the whole point....you call it "teach better", we call it high school level "spoonfeeding", yet, ur exam questions are easier. No wonder almost half of every class in most private universities come out with 2.1.
In federal universities, pple that come out with 2.1 become best graduating students at postgraduate level in Oxford, University of Manchester and some other top European institutions, while those that come out with 2.2 are well above average, and some of them opportuned to get tested externally still go on to make their Alma Mater proud. Stop going too far to cook up imaginative stuff to support your argument. Employers here in Nigeria think otherwise. I had the opportunity to work in same dept with a certain uniben grad who had numerous certifications in his chosen field (Info Tech), the guy had a rep of being the one to always mess simple IT task like backup and restore of data, OS installation. You guys equate hard question in exam for high standards but i tell u it is very wrong sir. |

blueto: Then why do we have just a single private university amongst other redundant federal universities dominating the current top 10 university rankings in Nigeria?
Federal University are immensely better than privates! that is an undisputable fact! Fraudulent ranking are plenty these days. How do you explain some NUC official who were drawn randomly from mostly federal uni. showing up at Covenant Uni not being able to relate to laboratories standards they help NUC recommend for the private unis? It is a pathetic situation. Most fed school think craming or resetting the standard of exam after it has been written to fail students and deny them high success rate makes their unis of high standards. |

A current or past sophomore(Carlson001) of Uniben swerved from attempting to dispute and debunk the message, so are you saying you are more cognisant about Uniben than your predecessors? Stop typing rubbish here. Uniben ko Uniben ni. Same uniben we see their grads daily or another one? Even your lecturers are known to cram and can hardly explain 50% of their own lecture notes satisfactorily. I once worked directly with one as an IT support to company and others as office colleagues and can say confidently that you guys are very empty on the average. When David Mark said that GSM is not meant for the poor in 2001, he was actually right but then PDP eradicated the extreme poverty and widened the middle-class through it economic policies, trade liberalization and reforms. Stop taking reply to your deceptive post personal, this is a public forum. So by re-setting the goal post of poverty and scoring you think you won the game abi. Oya clap for yourself. Politics › Re: Before you criticize an Eight month APC Government by Standing5(m): 2:55am On Mar 06, 2016 |
Ezenwammadu: It took 16 years for all that to happen but it took APC less than a year to mess everything up Exchange rate goes from N20 to N200 (a 1000% inflation increase) when bench mark oil price for budget was always below selling price, you call it "happened" and it goes from N200 to N300(a 50% inflation increase ) you call it "mess everything up". Papa Decieving Pikin as usual. Keep it up. LadyExcellency: If you want to judge government based on inflation though your post are full of exaggerations, I put it to you that you just gave. PDP a grade A rating. PDP met minimum wage at N1,200 and left at 18,000 which is how many percentage increase. Do the maths and see how senseless most of the comparisons and points are. You used a minimum that was enforced less than 15% of the work force to justify the fact even PDP had to borrow to pay the N18,000 minimum wage. Even at that they couldn't meet up with payment, you just scored PDP 0% unknowingly. If for all the depth PDP left it could only leave us bloated recurrent expenditure, then that's akin to a father who borrows in order to increase his children's pocket money, upgrade dstv & pay dstv bills etc and then as he is about to die in sick bed, leaving behind the debt repayment to the children ,thinking he died a responsible father who provided for his family. That will amount to a Papa Decieving Pikin. |
