Even if he had done it for say two months and then come up with this argument he might get a support. Honesty is the best policy. Your stùpídiîty is ernomous. LordAdam: He cannot defy nada!
If you think he can, let him re-open the Haliburton case and watch his presidency go up in flames.
The Buhari that could have been able to defy the ruling class was the Buhari that contested for 3 times, not the Buhari that contested in 2015.
The Jonathan that should have been able to defy the ruling class is the Jonathan that should have won the 2015 elections, not the Jonathan that won the 2011 elections.
The presidents are not the problem, the system is. In a better country, both Jonathan and Buhari mean well and are assets. The fact that they needed the ruling class to emerge as presidents is why we are still in a comatose situation in this country and is why the CHANGE is a scam.
Unless the system is overhauled, they'll just package a new mistake and foist on the Nigerian people while the story remains the same.

TheDevilIsALai:
What Nigerian economy needs now is a healthy stimulus package to revive the dying retail sector which has more Nigerians directly or indirectly employed. By cutting salaries you risk a serious case of deflation. has economic activity in Osun not stalled since Aregbe refused to pay state civil servants salaries? This is Osun which is primarily a civil servant state.
If you cut salaries or throw people into the ever increasing labour market in the name of Cost savings your risk more hardship and dwindling economy. By giving bail out to retailers, you mean the govt should support retail of what's largely foreign goods over stimulation of local alternatives that employs you & I, and keep our wealth within our economy? I am surprised by your electric brain dude, where did you get? TheDevilIsALai: If you cut salaries or throw people into the ever increasing labour market in the name of Cost savings your risk more hardship and dwindling economy.
They should fix their budget of fraud and cut unnecessary expenditures and from there utilise funds in creating jobs.
That is the only solution Clap for yourself. |

TheDevilIsALai: Cut salaries that have little purchasing power in the light of hyper inflation?
Why don't you just sack 50% of the work force?
It is people like you that give useless advice to that rascal in Osun
Why should the FG give the likes of Aregbe another bailout? What did the goat do with the first bailout package he got? Wasn't the package meant to offset salaries being owed?
As I said, you are one of the dolts advising that rascal in Osun Youq hatred is unmistakably clear. I said FG should only give bail out to state looking to invest rather than spend on stomach projects yet u went ahead to attack it out of zombie-like hatred for anything Osun. The salarx of FG workers whose pay can't buy anything by reason of depreciated Naira easily dwarfs the pay of other equally unproductive citizens and is a major source of capital flight, as they are more prone to buy foreign goods. Get sense bro and stop hating blindly. |

Let the FG continue with the effeciency unit it has set up for purchase of basic items like stationaries, IT equipment, Fuel, Furnitures, recreation, allowances and scrutiny of items cost across a wide range of ministries, agencies, and depts. The FG shovld also cut by 20% salary of workers who got increases in the days of crude oil price boom. The boom is over and incentive should be for overall output increase and not market force based increases. Strengthen border security to reduce smuggling of clothes, foods which Nigerians buy everyday and help stop capital flight.
Reposition YouWin and similar schemes.
Start giving bailout to states looking to invest rather than pay salaries and loot via phantom projects like free feeding, aircraft/airport acquisition, money sharing, and subsidies that favour consumption instead of production. |

kettykin: The Northern region took the position that they were not intellectually ready for such a high level of political independence. The Western region promptly declared their readiness to accept the offer. It was we, Igbos, that held the balance in such a serious issue that could make or break Nigeria. We took the stand that although the Eastern region was ready to assume the responsibilities of regional independence, its attainment without the North will lead to the balkanization of the Nigerian Dream, and break our collective aspirations as Nigerians. We chose to rather let the advancement of our political interests and obvious economic gains be delayed than risk the break-up of Nigeria
If you checked very well you would have seen that the document stated very clearly At no point did the article say that the east stopped the west from secession or that the east compelled the west not to form region or to remain region less You pretended not to see the part that states that 2 region out of 3 must agree for the british colonial masters to agree. The North was clearly lagging behind but i can't understand why the Igbos will be willing to sacrifice their own progress only to come back and play victim 10years later in 1967. Their attempt to dominate others was checked. Eod. Yorubas were being given a near pogrom treatment as far back as 1945 in one Nigeria. Stop saying or supporting the false account that the Igbos/Easterners saw anything coming. The yorubas stopped the Fulani pre-colonial adventure towards the south and were againgst being in one entity with them. It was Igbos who played the 'good' neigbour only to come out crying. The North knew they wanted the money of the south and were open about it. The Western people too we open about their incompartibility with the North and east. One tribe hid her feelings because of hidden intentions. |

naijaking1: The answer is simple: fear. Fear of the Fulani is the beginning of wisdom. If your governor opens his mouth too wide against the Fulani, you will see how bad things will happen to him in series, beginning from the courts to the army to the police to the DSS, to EFCC. I say bad things, real bad things.
The story about not being able to sure Fulanis is another myth. How about shooting back at them when they shoot? They don't defy gravity my friend. The Igbo knew about Fulani marauders right from the time of Othman dan Fodio, but guess who helped the Fulanis suppress the Igbos The Yorubas (western region) wanted to break at independence stage of Nigeria but some other region pressed against it. They thought they could dominate others but when the reality of the contrary hit them, they tried to change history. |
