Personally, i have no kobo in my Ecobank so, i can't even know their rate. Lol.

I think it's time we demand quality service from govt and service providers including financial institutions, in respect of my cancelled order on Paypal, UBA charged me 217+ per dollar, but refunding they refunded 198.5, i mailed them, they told me it's official rate, why didnt they use official rate in charging initially was what i asked' meanwhile during the periood the transaction was made, the exchange rate between the dollar and pounds didn't change (the transaction was quoted in pounds, but paypal charged me dollar and converted to pound). I copied CBN in the mails, just this morning i was credited with the normal charge of 217 and debited with the debious refund. Thanks to stanley08 this forum has really help some of us in knowing the sharp practices of these banks

If we don't fight them, they will keep walking over us. Hence the need to follow the dollar closely. Good thing u got ur dough back. Hopefully they won't try to mess with other customers from now. Good going mate!

It's MasterCard they give normally with Savings account. Debit MasterCard and Credit VISA Card (Current account). Unless they changed, just like Ecobank switched from VISA to MasterCard just last yr or early this year.

And yes, my name was on the relocation list too. And they collected my ppa letter and told us to write down our account numbers and go print online. So yh. Lol

Same issue here. Akwa-Ibom State. Shows 'application is being processed'. Relocated to Ogun State. Some ppls own later showed declined. From what state to what state for you?

STOP WASTING YOUR CREDIT CALLING STANBIC!

Email them ur issue and tell them to call you back and advice accordingly. Simple!

When they call, talk for 100hrs if u want.

Paypal is the one charging and not First bank

They charge 3.9% transaction + 0.30 USD for intl transaction. And. 3.4% of transaction + 0.30 USD for domestic

From my experience, PayPal and Stanbic charges 0 naira extra. only when it's a different currency then it is converted to dollars and could be higher.
