My elder brother filled everything for us (the whole family) unfortunately I didn't go through the whole thing, as the the passport came out I discovered that they used my elder brother's date of birth in the place of mine. 1988 against 1993, how do I go about it? It's really causing lots of damages |

Nigerian politics is like money ritual, u don't venture into it without sacrificing something much more than your scrotum and its testes. It's like a giant boil on one's scrotum, if you leave it you're in danger and if you open it ur testes may drop on the floor 1 Like |

Former president of Gambia once said (cried out) in one of his books "One day Gambia shall be free". Current president of America said "America shall be great again" Former president of America, though a black man said "yes we can". God what is yoking Nigeria with hardship. One day Nigeria shall be free, one day Nigeria will be giant again because we are echoing it aloud. "yes we can" |

Poverty starts when somebody who earns so little buys something with his/her hard-earned money and destroys it. Broom or umbrella is a household property and I bet you that some of them don't even have either of the items in their house. Irony of life |

Literature / Poem - Mending Hearts by stansaintly(m): 8:49am On Jul 23, 2018 |
MENDING HEARTS Among the brambles of a shattered heart Among the shambles of life torn apart When love or friendship turns to hate When words are spoken to berate To pick up the pieces seems a chore But must be done to grieve no more. Among the puzzles of the reasons why Among the thistles that cause pain to cry When moving on is the only goal To open the door to another soul Walking in limbo for a while But lighting candles with a smile. Among the confusion of forest and trees Among the conclusion of answers that please When peace is restored from lackluster When courage and spirit are easy to muster To encounter the new and inclusive To get rid of the old and abusive. Slowly the hurt will be completely erased With a better relationship the ego replaced. |

Politics / Do The Right Thing Right! by stansaintly(m): 10:07am On Jul 09, 2018 |
DO THE RIGHT THING RIGHT! Joseph Stalin was a brutal dictator with mind of his own. On one fateful day, Stalin came to Politburo meeting with a live chicken. Standing in front of audience, He started to pluck the feathers of the live chicken off one by one. The chicken trembled in pain, blood tricking out of its pores. It gave out grievous cries, but Stalin being a cruel dictator continued without remorse plucking the feathers out until the chicken was completely naked. After which, he threw the chicken on the ground. The naked chicken was staggering in pain. Stalin goes into his pocket and from his pockets, he took out some chicken food and started to throw it at the poor & hapless creature. The poor chicken in pain started eating and Stalin started walking towards his seat. As he walked away, he kept dropping some feeds on the floor & the chicken followed him and sat feeding from his feet. Joseph Stalin then turned to members of his political party leadership. He said, "This chicken represents the people". "You must disempower them, brutalise them, beat them up, starve them and then leave them". "If you do this, go into your pocket & give them peanuts when they are in that helpless and desperate situation, they will blindly follow you for the rest of their life, worshiping you". "They will think you are a hero forever. They will forget that, you're responsible for their sorrowful situation in the first place. Now! Take a look at all the people some Nigerians are busy defending on social media. Take a look at those they call their heroes. They are the same people who plunged Nigeria into the situation she is. Did you see the numbers of people that throng to homes of political office holders during Christmas and Sallah periods to go and collect peanuts? Copied |

Palm wine is the sweet tasty sap gotten from wounded palm trees. Anyone who has ever visited Abba-omega in Ebonyi State must have come across palm wine. Palm wine is good for our health, if only we drink pure and fresh ones, this is because preservatives and sweeteners added "palmy" as it is fondly called is not good for our health. When palm wine is tapped, it is fresh and sweet but in 24 hours, it can become sharp and sour, and contain more alcohol than some of our alcoholic drinks. This is because the palm wine undergoes fermentation. Palm wine has benefits when consumed fresh or fermented, but the most benefits are gotten when it is consumed fresh. In Cameroon and Nigeria, the process of tapping palm wine from palm trees is called palm wine tapping. A palm wine tapper climbs the palm tree with a rope that is locally designed for that purpose. He also climbs the palm tree with a cutlass, a knife and a gallon or calabash. When the tapper climbs the tree to the top, he will cut some palm branches to expose the tissue and use the knife to create a hole in the tree. A hollow bamboo or empty pipe is used to direct the sap into a gallon which is tied around the tree. Another way to tap wine from palm is by cutting down the palm trees as seen in Abba-omega (Abaomege) in Onicha L.G.A, Ebonyi State
