There are quite a number of misdemeanors that I was corrected for as a kid by flogging. Truth is... Decades down the line, whenever I want to do them, I remember they are wrong things to do. When I was a child I had asthma. My dad would tell me son don't go and play football, it triggers your condition. I'll go and play football. Then when I come back I got asthma attack.
