As it stands now the instrumentality of strike has failed, and it would be fool hardy for ASUU to declare one at the moment. With the courts already on the matter, the union has limited moves to make without being checkmated. Add this to the rising students frustration, you will understand that its only a matter of time before they the students take their destiny in their hands like the EndSARS protest.

My appeal to ASUU is that they should not not go back on strike. If they do it would be counter productive as many of their members will suffer untold hardship and death. ASUU can tackle FG on other fronts while doing their job. There is nothing wrong if a wise soldier should retreat in a battle. My humble view

APC nothern political elite can no longer mobilise block votes for its party. As it stands now, there are more people in the north crossing from the APC to the PDP as there are otherwise

The truth is, Have a Positive mindset, Anywhere you find yourself apart from your home country is like "a Rat in a Hole". The way out is to first adjust yourself and acclimatize to the environment, As a Nigerian, there are prospects everywhere we go.... the good thing is you can actually create a job in Portugal, the Economy isn't very fat there but you will earn considerably well and take care of your family even if they move with them!
You can stay in Prtugal or Move from Portugal to anywhere else in the world, there is no "food is ready" anywhere you go, even in the USA!

@vibrant please what is the job prospect for phd student in Portugal both while schooling and after complition of the program. Is it worth leaving once job here in Nigeria for such studies.?
Or would you prefer a Masters in science program instead of a phd in education course

These are people who might have disconnected with their families long time ago. Some of them chose to live a solitary lifestyle,some may not have had children to inherit the properties and were reluctant to connect with family members. Life is all vanity

Northern political leaders are playing politics with the security situation in the north. Even if the whole north is overrun by bandits, these people will never blame Buhari, because of self interest and self preservation.

In other news, why can't these worshippers arm themselves, it seems they too don't take their security serious.

Truely it depends, because a lot of students brains have grown rusty and memory dilapidated. Many students and even lecturers by now must have forgotten key concepts and theories. It is like you are starting school afresh, no thanks to the many months and days out of school. These are just some of the effects of strikes.
