As it stands now the instrumentality of strike has failed, and it would be fool hardy for ASUU to declare one at the moment. With the courts already on the matter, the union has limited moves to make without being checkmated. Add this to the rising students frustration, you will understand that its only a matter of time before they the students take their destiny in their hands like the EndSARS protest. |
My appeal to ASUU is that they should not not go back on strike. If they do it would be counter productive as many of their members will suffer untold hardship and death. ASUU can tackle FG on other fronts while doing their job. There is nothing wrong if a wise soldier should retreat in a battle. My humble view |
APC nothern political elite can no longer mobilise block votes for its party. As it stands now, there are more people in the north crossing from the APC to the PDP as there are otherwise |
Nigeria is a lawless country where the strong prey on the weak and more privileged few in the name of revenue collection . Come to Delta, you will see the uniform touts extorts citizens over minor traffic offences. Meanwhile, when you report to the relevant authority, the government will claim no knowledge of them, yet they cannot stop their illegal operations. |
Not surprise. |
After FG finish tormenting lecturers, it is now the turn of lecturers to do same to the students. |
vibrant99:Thank you, appreciated |
@vibrant please what is the job prospect for phd student in Portugal both while schooling and after complition of the program. Is it worth leaving once job here in Nigeria for such studies.? Or would you prefer a Masters in science program instead of a phd in education course |
These are people who might have disconnected with their families long time ago. Some of them chose to live a solitary lifestyle, some may not have had children to inherit the properties and were reluctant to connect with family members. Life is all vanity |
I am sure if the contract was given to someone outside the Niger Delta, this Asari won't have reacted so angrily, now that it is his brother he wants to flex muscle. Local champion |
Sell someone sweat just like that. Lagos and fines |
800 k a month is not bad, but it is shameful for some people to be making comparisons with the SA to the president 's as if we don't know he is a political appointee who will most likely go after his principal leaves office Further more, how many such political appointees are there compared to the number of professors. |
hopefulLandlord:You really need help. I wish people like you can be consistent in this kind of distorted reasoning. It is only a matter of time before you realise how low you have fallen |
Thieves hiding under the title of "pastor" to commit evil. Any that introduces himself as pastor I always look that person very well, e get why |
Northern political leaders are playing politics with the security situation in the north. Even if the whole north is overrun by bandits, these people will never blame Buhari, because of self interest and self preservation. In other news, why can't these worshippers arm themselves, it seems they too don't take their security serious. |
Why London? |
Truely it depends, because a lot of students brains have grown rusty and memory dilapidated. Many students and even lecturers by now must have forgotten key concepts and theories. It is like you are starting school afresh, no thanks to the many months and days out of school. These are just some of the effects of strikes. |
Baba Ned go don dey tire for this one by now |
