FOLYKAZE:Oro yin ti su mi! Now the spiritual people have concocted their own type of atheism. Atheism was originally rooted in scientific community. Now e don transfer go the people who don't want to believe in god but also believe in him at the same time. |

FOLYKAZE:Na wa for you o. Which one be spiritual atheist. You guys love twisting what atheism stand for. Believing in god or God in form of existent entity or non-existent entity already disqualifies your position as an atheist. You are simply a DEIST. Well, I'm as logical as it gets. I don't do spiritual. I'm strictly scientific. So, good luck with your spiritualism. Hope Ifa treats you well. One question though. Do you offer sacrifices to your so-called gods and godesses? I can as well hand you my android phone for you to worship. We can call it Andy, the god of technology. |

KingEbukasBlog: You seem to know me very well sha. And I can see, you trying to pull a strawman. Of course I made a few exagerrations, but most churches I've been to always have deliverance session and some of the pastors did apply force and they would look at me as if I was some unyielding demonic agent. I don't need you to believe my story anyway, it's not going to wake up the dead if you do. |

FOLYKAZE:As for whether the infamous Apollo mission really took place, I don't know, and I honestly don't give two sh*ts about it. I worry about the present not the past. But I need to point something out. If you are a physics student and you've watched a lot of anti-grav videos you would that it is possible for the flag to continue vibrating endlessly if it was set in motion by a force. It will only stop vibrating when an unbalanced force attempts to stop it. One of Laws of Motion, states that whatever is in motion stays in motion, likewise whatever is at rest stays at rest forever. This is not true in our earthian environment. Why? Well because, there are other forces in play that will try to stop an object from moving endlessy in our space. Gravity, frictional force, among others are active players. But in space, where there is no air, no gravity, nothing. If you throw a ball, it goes on forever into space with the same force and momentum until an opposing force stops it or diverts it from its track. So on the moon where there no air, due to its weak gravity to hold it, the flag will vibrate in a near-endless manner. |

Teempakguy:Hmmm. That's hard to believe o. All through my life up until now, all the people I've met physically are konk religious people. My mum even threatened to disown me recently because of my toothfarianism, I had to joke it out to save myself from missing free meals and shelter. Oh yeah, I remember some boys from Philosophy when I was in UNILAG, although we were not friends, but I always heard their heated arguments. I was a bit radical in school about my toothfarianism, but it didn't get me anywhere except for cheap insults and mockery. You know why already. I had no backup singer. Sometimes I even wonder why I was born to Nigerian parents because if most Nigerians are thinking towards the north, I'm thinking towards the south. Many times I wake up and wonder if everything around me is real. How can so many people be gullible in this part of the world. Why can't they just realise the shit-covered cake they are being offered. I still think I'm dreaming though. So many people cannot be this dumb. Many of them should have realised as they grow up that they are being fed fairytales. All my life, I've heard of juju and witchcraft and I've not seen any physical (or perhaps spiritual) manifestation of it. People go to church, the fall like trees when pastor touch them. Well many pastors tried that on me, it didn't work. Some even tried applying some force, I stagger back only to regain my balance. The pastor will glance sternly at me and walk away. Coming to Nairaland to read fellow toothfarians posts seem like the only sane place I can go. *Sorry for writing so much, all of these just poured out of me. A dude still wondering what the f*ck is wrong with thinking logically. 6 Likes 3 Shares |

Toothfarians. Sounds cool enough. The problem is we are the little percentage and converting over 90% of Nigerians to sensibility is far-fetched. However I do believe strongly that Religion cannot last for long. Nigerians will eventually come to their senses. It may not be in our own generation or the next. But it will happen. The transition to that time lies in Education and Better Standard of Living. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

depressedsoul:If your story is true, then committing suicide will only end your bloodline. While many of us here are way more privileged than you, we still have our own problems to rid and the ugly truth is, many people don't give a sh*t what your condition is. Respect comes with achievement. I'm not religious, so I don't believe in the notion of hell, but killing yourself might mean losing a future greatness and legacy. I personally do not have a job for your because I'm just as broke as you, although with family's support. So what I can advice is for you to find a goal for yourself. Personally the purpose I gave myself is what is keeping me alive admist the tumbling chaos and crisis in Nigeria. The goal I gave myself motivates me everyday and I make sure to look for materials, success stories, and motivational books that remind me of my goal and makes me even more happy. I also allow myself to daydream a lot, because it is a personal source of motivation. You need to discard every form of pride. Just forget about your status in life. Go as low as you can. If you have to sell satchets of pure water to make a daily living, then by all means do so and discard your status. Don't bother yourself with what people think about you. Trust me, it is not worth it for now. You have a goal to meet. Save as much as you can, even if it is #10 per day, you will be surprised when your savings will come handy for a particular purpose. Improve your social skills and stand out. Try to be social, be playful, smile a lot, be better than your peers, and you will discover that your customers always prefer you. From your write-up, I can see you are educated to an extent. There are a few jobs you can look out for, you just have to take your steps some extra miles. Giving up on yourself now and committing suicide won't stop the rest of the world from continuing its activities. And you give your parents' relative a reason to smile. If I were you that will be my goal, I will make sure I prove them wrong. Go out there, there are menial jobs that require little skills. Go to filling stations, restaurants, stores, etc. The list is endless. You will definitely find a job. Unless you still have some sort of pride or this story is not true, then you will find a job that can sustain you as you work towards your goal. There are many people like you out there. So start now! |

jusRadical:Dude, you need to put your bible away and think reasonably for once. The bible is 2K years old and it is full of tales by moonlight just like any Cinderella or Aladdin book out there. And are you really sure that within two millenia, the stories in the bible has never been tampered with. And you also want to tell me that if the Whites never brought christainity to Nigerian, the christains now in Nigeria will all go to hell. Hell itself is an illusion. Abeg, just think, leave the incredible adventures of Jesus alone and be logical for once. As for me, I've always been inquisitive and logical since I was a kid, so I easily dismissed stories from the bible and jujus so many people claim. One day, Nigerians (most of them) will learn to see the light themselves and not see it through their preachers. |

IlekeHD:Oga, what's ur P with me? Is the news not shady to you? It's fine if it is not, but for me I work with facts. I saw the published paper online. But the fact remains that only Nigerian sites are propagating this news. I checked other sites where the Millennium Questions were discussed and no mention of a solution. In fact from what I gathered, only one of the problems have been solved. Another fact is that, problems like this always pass a peer review session that takes years of making sure the algorithm always produce the correct result with different conditions. For your misinformation. I'm Yoruba. And I'm not a blind tribalistic one. And pls stop assuming, be logical. Look for facts. 4 Likes |

This news is shady. Checked everywhere. Still no proper acknowledgement of the feat from foreign media. All I see are Nigerian blogs claiming the same story, some even added their own version. I saw one claiming it was $1 billion. Another mentioned a totally different name. Not trying to be tribalistic here but to Nicepoker and Aigbofa [if the story is true] U need to know that his name (Dr. Opeyemi Enoch) signifies that he is Yoruba or at least has a Yoruba parent. And you need to also know that there are spread of Yoruba community in Kogi and in fact some parts of Togo and Benin, way before the colonial era. They still live there, but their culture is a little different from ours. 2 Likes |
Programming / Re: C Programming Help by Stconvict(m): 2:19am On Nov 14, 2015 |
sanny18:I suggest you make a study scheme for yourself. C can take anywhere from a few days to several years. It depends on how fast you can learn, how much you can always remember, how convenient the learning environment is, the state of your emotions, etc. The list goes on forever. It took me a few days to pick up C, but that's from a programmer who had a prior experience with C++. For a beginner like you, it will definitely take longer. At the end of the day all the matters is your motivation and determination to finish your study. Along the way, you might feel like you are not making any progress and that's why google and stackoverflow are there for you. 1 Like |

No doubt, you can develop the site you have in mind but definitely not as complex as Facebook and especially not in 3 months! Programming / Re: Need Programmers Help Please by Stconvict(m): 9:36am On Nov 12, 2015 |
F*ck! Programmers here have little regards for ethics. Why in smaug's breath would you deliver a keylogging source to a random guy out of nowhere, who could be using the same code to exploit one of your relatives in the future. Even if this dude has good intentions, you guys never bothered to ask. "Just provide the g*ddamn code and I'll look like a badass programmer". F*ck that sh*t. Even if the program does work, I hope many people (hopefully) would have a decent anti-virus to block the f*cker. The remaining ones are doomed. |

Gaming / Re: Good Android Games Ideas by Stconvict(m): 12:15pm On Nov 07, 2015 |
AmazingZeus:Dude you got me laughing. Do you know how many people it took to create those games. Those are triple A studio games and except he has the resource to conjure up artists, programmers, animators, musicians, etc. then he has no chance of creating games like those. What he asked for is an indie territory discussion. And from how it looks, I'm sure the op only knows how to program logic and perhaps some GUI stuff.. Anyway, you can create games that is not necessarily about graphics but logic-oriented, this goes for many minimalist puzzle games. But if you are the graphics type, then there are two things involved. You can either develop a 2D game or a 3D one. (HD is a type of resolution) Even if you go 2D, it doesn't make it any easier to develop. Many things go into the production of games, scripting, animation, level design, modelling/drawing, etc. Sure, going for 3D is a tad harder. However, I will advise you to pick up Unity Engine. Read up it's manual and you might understand what it takes to produce your dream game. But you might need to be familiar with some graphic programming concepts before you can understand anything in the manual. U need to familiar with Linear Algebra (vector, matrices, etc) and the Graphics Pipeline. This applies for both 2D and 3D game dev if you want to make the best out of your game. As for the type of game to create. I can suggest: 1.) Endless Runner (3D) 2.) Platform Shooter (2D) 3.) Fighting Game (3D) 4.) Racing Game (3D) 2 Likes |

Programming / Re: I Want To Learn Programming - Is Java The Best To Start With? by Stconvict(m): 5:11pm On Sep 02, 2015 |
ogedanny:DO NOT start with C! Now that's a friendly advice. Not unless you want to beat around the bush before getting to the main point which is OOP. The idea that if you don't have prior knowledge about programming, you must start with C, is counter intuitive and a terrible one. Seriously how many people started with C before they learnt Java? My first language was C++ but I didn't learn C in order for me to understand it. If you want to get the basics of OOP, hit youtube and check for videos on "introduction to object-oriented programming". C is a low-level language and it will expose you to so many problems like off-by-one errors, memory leakage, stack overflow etc. However, Java gets you on your feet quickly and let's you think about logic of your application instead of debugging throughout your tutorial. C is also not very platform-agnostic, while Java is cross-platform, i.e. compile-once-and-run-everywhere. So you can run your code on any Java-enabled platform. If anything, you should be learning Java before learning C. Think carefully about this, don't waste the next six months figuring out what C is when you can start learning Java now and finish in less than four months. Start with basics first and move forward from there, you will be better for it. Thanks 1 Like |
